Original Post by rudegirlsdontcry: I think that's cute. We've been living together since May. And so far we've been fine. We had my 5 year old beta, but he died (I got him for my 13th birthday and he died the morning of my 18th) Now we have 3 new betas, his dog, CJ, the doggy he adopted for me for my birthday, Sox, and my adorable hamster Tootie. So we have a full house too. Haha. Good luck to the two of you! |

Original Post by vicereine: Haha that's funny... When I was in school and had to be awake by 7 to be there by 7:55, you have no idea how many times I just said screw it at about 5 am and decided to stay up all night. I seem to be MORE tired if I sleep from 5 to 7 than if I don't sleep at all. :] |

Original Post by nomoreexcuses: Yes. I would imagine I would get great pleasure out of annoying people if I was a morning person. The same way I love to annoy people who can't stay up past 10 ;) |

Original Post by beachwalker: that's the funniest thing i've read all day... haha. As for the OP, i have a funny story... I left my parents' house to live with my boyfriend. I was sitting on the couch as soon as we get to his place and i look at him and i say "Oh my god, can you do me a huge favor??" And his first response "What? Do you need me to run out and get some tampons?" LOL. I simply smiled and said "No, babe, actually I wondered if you would grab me a coke from the fridge..." I thought it was adorable. ;] |

Original Post by schnooder: I've got no need to be defensive. I was simply saying that I only have two. And if you don't read the thread through, then why pop in to post something that you are mistaken about. It just seems kind of pointless to me anyway... |

I'm sure it is good to use caution when you post things about yourself, but my friends and parents all know about this and as far as future employers, i doubt they would find this forum post. And, honestly it's not like they know my full name or anything. So, I see no harm in talking about how I kicked former habits. :] If anyone is worried about that stuff, they can elect not to post. Yay for the right to make your own decisions!!! I will accept responsibility for my posts if any complications arise in my life because of them. I'm not promoting or condoning illegal or questionable actions. I'm simply sharing. and I don't see the harm in that. |

Original Post by schnooder: I definitely only have two and this one was started based off of the other one. You would've known that if you read through the other thread. And I must ask why it matters what my posts are about. I can post what I want. :] |

misskady, oh i don't doubt that some children need medication. I just think doctors are too pushy and willing to give children medication when they don't need it. Some children, like your nephew, may need medication because of psychological damage. But a child that has trouble sitting still and likes to hop from one game to another does not need medication. They're young and have lots and lots of energy. They don't want to stick to one thing because they are curious. I also think people should lay off the antibiotics. Don't people realize that antibiotics kill even the good bacteria in our bodies?? They also make it nigh impossible to develop immunities or antibodies of our own to fight off illnesses. We'd have much stronger immune systems if we didn't use formulated medicine to kill every single bacteria we shelter. I believe antibiotics have a time and place, but people take them for illnesses that we'd be able to fight off ourselves. |

i totally agree! Seems like there's a pill for everything nowadays. Restless leg syndrome? Here's a pill! Constipation? Don't fix it the natural way with natural foods, we have a pill! And, I'm sorry, but I think they're way too quick to diagnose people with ADD or ADHD. Children especially. They almost ALL have attention problems and hyperactivity problems. Stop feeding them meds, they're CHILDREN. |

laschndr, I used to black out on several occasions. That's one of the reasons I kicked the habit. I realized how dangerous that was... I could've been raped or worse. I was very very lucky not to be hurt or get alcohol poisoning. Anyway, since i obviously tend to go over my limit when i drink, i just stay away from it all together. I try to be strong and think things through instead of blindly going along with whatever everyone else is doing. :] nomo, please don't kill the thread!!! We're not encouraging anything illegal... more like discouraging. And sharing views and opinions. For support and motivational purposes!!! :] |

Original Post by kaffwynn: just because mudslides taste good does not mean i want to drink them. And in no way shape or form did i let on like i look back on it fondly... cause i don't. And i'm pretty sure i voiced the fact that i realized what it was doing to me and my body and my health. kaff, thank you for seeing what i was trying to project. I am grateful for my sobriety and just because i think some drinks taste good does not mean i look back on my days of shooting whiskey and moonshine "fondly". :] let us try not to judge people. |

haha, i have a friend who is 26 and she doesn't really drink more than a margarita here and there. We thought it would be funny to see her drunk so she agreed to drink one night.... NEVER AGAIN. She was the worst drunk i've ever seen. haha. angry, sad, loud, abnoxious. it was ridiculous. mudslides do taste pretty good, though, not gonna lie ;] |

Original Post by scooby316: Yeah that's understandable. I don't favor either. lol. If I'm angry or just hyper and need faster music I go for Tool. If I'm laid back just chilling or if I'm sad or down I tend to turn to APC for comfort. Both are amazing. Yupp. Faves for sure. |

Kudos to you ladyfirelyght!!! That's the way I am now. I haven't drank to get drunk/buzzed/tipsy for a year now. But occasionally, like once every 3 or 4 months I'll have a glass of wine with my meal. That's about it. I'm also nutty enough without the added drugged affect. :] |

zarelha, i agree with you too. It is correct that my upbringing caused me to be more mature, but there are other ways of raising more mature children without dysfunction or abuse. So I'm sure like you there are others who were simply raised to be more mature. I myself was forced to be more mature, but I'm sure maturity can come from perfectly heathy family lives as well. :] |

I've never done meth, but I've seen it ruin lives. I've seen addicted parents that can't even provide for their children because they waste all (and I mean all) their money on meth. It's a nasty nasty creation. icutoffmyhair, my mom beat my a** when she found out i had smoked cannabis (and i wasn't even doing it anymore). I found that to be ridiculous anyway considering i wasn't doing crack or coke or meth or anything. |

It just stinks. Like chemicals almost. uck. The reason is because meth is made up of different chemicals that in order to get out of the system need to seep out the pores. This is what causes the open sores that ooze meth. this is also why real broke meth heads pick their scabs and eat them. it gets them a little high. And it also leaks out their pores to cause the nasty odor. ew. |

| The Lounge | is it okay to not like sex? | Jul 10 2008 23:23 (UTC) |

I'll be 18 in a week and a half and from a teen's perspective, I enjoy sex. But you have to be ready for it. I had sex at 15 and hated it. Wasn't ready for it. Since then I've had a few relationships that involved sex and I still didn't like it. It was painful/uncomfortable/embarrassing to me. Then when I met my current boyfriend over a year and a half ago, I finally felt I was ready to relax and try to enjoy it. Well, now I love it. Maybe you're looking for the reassurance that the affection is real and not just based on sex. Therefore cuddling/kissing might make you feel like it's genuine and not just sex drive. Who knows. But you should never feel "not normal" about any of that. :] |

anndjoe, when i moved to illinois, i moved into a really nice community (granted, kids still do drugs here, they just stick to more expensive ones because they can afford it. ie. coke) anyway, nobody here had really heard much about meth. I was shocked. I grew up in a little town out in the country in Morristown, Tennessee, and ALMOST EVERYONE DID METH. It's gross. And it makes you get open oozing sores all over your body and also causes your teeth to rot out of your head and your eyes to turn an off white color. yucky. |
