Rather than agonising, how about entering all the ingredients into the recipe
analyser and setting the number of portions to however many it serves?
Yes, and then post the recipe w/ then nutrition info for those of us who like to cook!
I like to bake as well - I tend to save a portion and give the rest away! I get to enjoy the process and make people happy at the same time.

ooh! a recipe analyzer! i didnt know one of these existed! thanks, i'll do that right away and come back and post the recipe and probably the horrific calories i consumed! lol. and thanks for saying it looks delicious, it was! lol. it would have been better with a bit of custard or cream, but it really was a treat. and it was bank holiday i suppose! i only wish yesterday my mum hadn't've bought a sticky toffee frozen pavlova and i hadn't had two slices! ARGH. see, sugar has that effect. it makes me want more and more, like strawberry-dolly's said up above. i've known times where i've made the cake mix and not even bothered to bake it, just eaten like the cookie dough. i've controlled myself a lot better now though, lol. i'm pleased to report that, that's for sure. anyway i'll go and have a toot on this recipe analyzer. many thanks! xxx.

ah, if i didnt wear so much foundation and blusher i'd go pink. what halizabeth's said's right, these few replies at caloriecount have made me a bit happier. thanks, everyone.

i'm a bit perkier than i was earlier on. my mum cooked me a bit of a greasy indulgent birthday tea with what little commodities we have, but it was lovely actually. she cooked me a slice of bacon, some beans with little pork sausages in, a mushroom omelette, lettuce and she stuck a candle in the omelette. then i had some wedding fruit cake with icing from a wedding i was at last saturday, which i hated, but which the cake made up for. it felt more birthdayish. it's that taste of icing isnt it? but that's made me a bit happier. isnt it strange the effects food has? one of my festival friends who i barely see, except in the summer season at festivals down south, called olly, he said since he's been eating more, yes he's put on weight, but he's found himself a lot happier. why is that?

Foods Fruit Binge! Aug 03 2008

neither, to be brutally honest! i'd say more of a sugar rush though. it's like whenever i come back from my errands, which involves me walking 3 mile to the nearest main centre and 3 miles back, i always have a coffee and it gives me a rush. sometimes for lunch i'll have a green apple and a coffee, especially at college, and that'll perk me up too. but not for long, i suppose. i mean all i've had today again is half a slice of wholemeal toast with marmite, and like 5 cups of tea. i'm abstaining from fruit as much as i can i've decided! once i start eating, i have a tendency not to stop, and that's why i have to kurb it. it's like at f***ing buffet tables, and all you can eats. theyre absolute no go areas. i was in london, and exactly this time last week i ended up eating most of the buffet. fortunately, this involved a pack of strawberries and a pack of green grapes, so it wasnt all bad. but it also involved breadsticks and hummus dips, a slice of currant cake, and already that day i'd had bran flakes and a slice of coconut cake, and then i went on to have a waffle with ice cream and maple syrup and nachos and chicken legs, teamed with tons of booze. it's insane, but i cant stop with all you can eats. once i start, that's it.

ANYWAY, moving swiftly away from my absolute pig-out and going back to my fruit concerns, thanks for all your replies! you know what made me laugh today aswell? i'm very into history, and i've just started a new book called the mammoth book of jacobean whodunnits, and in one of the first sentences, the author describes james 1st of england, and 6th of scotland. i quote, he had a strong scottish accent that few english could understand. he was openly homosexual, fondling his favourites in public. he had a rather disgusting habit of dribbling, he drank too much and had such a fondness of fruit that he suffered from frequent bouts of diarrhoea. but at least he was against smoking, so he wasn't all bad.

lmao i dont think i have any problems now! xx

naan breads well easy to find! it's for sale in all large supermarkets and even in little corner shops and newsagents, usually near pasta or curries or curry powders, or sauces and garnishings. just ask a store member, it's fudgeiting everywhere. haha, i've only had it once myself, with a korma, years ago, but yes, it's quite divine :)

talking of curries, dont they say milk's best with it? an indian woman on television said that your supposed to have it with milk, but i just prefer water. and men prefer lager! eek, i cant think of nothing worse! xx.

ah, 228 calories! eek! if i had like, eight, what does that tally at? A LOT. still, at least i know now. i know smirnoff ice's are nothing but bloody sugar, but at least i dont do it as often as i used to. i remember when i was a right little chav when i was 13, i'd drink like eight a night. it showed, trust, especially when your teaming this with slices of cake and bloody takeaway curry's. lmao.

and when i was in amsterdam, in february, for three days straight i ate nothing but spacakes, vodkas, smirnoff ice's, tequilas and magic mushroom sandwiches, yet for some reason i came back a few pounds lighter.

haha, metabloism, it's terrifying! xx.

Fidget, it's not like iw as trying to be offensive/ judgemental. Sorry if i got a little too upset and upset you too.
i now thereare people like me here, and thats why i came.... so i can see how other people can handle it. and i can't help but whine and comlain and let outmy feelings online once in a while.
w/e..... i got self-centered....

you didn't become self-centred, don't worry about it! aren't you allowed to think of yourself for once? i hate this whole self centred thing, and how people take a dislike to it. everyone's self centred whether they admit to it or not. who doesn't think about themselves for at least a minute a day? it's natural. and you have a right to post your concerns, as do i, and as does fidget, so your fine :)

and dont worry about this binging thing, just try not to let it happen again. i cant say much more on the fact, other than it's true, restriction makes binging happen more. i always find, or found, i binged more when i went out, when something exciting happened, when i was happy, or when i was nervous. emotional binging, perhaps. but i noticed the problem early and i'm trying to nip it in the bud. so it's good you've realised the problem. now start a fresh tomorrow morning, and maybe have some orange juice, toast, or some cereal or something for breakfast, and have a good dieting day with lots of nice foods and things, and then you'll wake up the morrow after that, and feel so much better. it always works for me, and you feel more in control as each day passes.

as it happens, i went out on a night out last night and had a ton of alcohol and i feel a bit guilty today. but i'm just thinking, it was a one-off, and fortunately, i didn't give in to my sweet tooth on the way home at takeaways and train station cafes when i needed to sober up. i waited till i got home, and then had some soup. so i feel tons better than i would have done if i'd've had the muffins at the lemon tree, or a f*****g chinese takeaway.

AND, i dont know if you believe in the bible or not, but there is a bible quote which i'm actually getting tatooed - dont worry, i'm not going to bloody preach, lol - but it is 'dont worry about tomorrow, as tomorrow will worry about itself. each day has enough trouble of it's own'. :) xx.

get over urself

i'm sorry, but i have to say something now. i;ve noticed a few of your posts, and they're all with this 'get over yourself' attitude, like that's something to be proud of, belittling someone's opinion. you need to learn how to get over yourself for a start, and how to spell. stop belittling people's opinions, and this girl for example, who's had a horrific binge and is feeling bad for it. she doesn't need your opinion if it's not a nice one. my great-grandad used to say if you've got nothing nice to say, don't say it all, and especially when it's degrading and you constantly come across as arrogant.

haha, that's what my nan and my great-nan used to believe - especially my great-nan! they didn't believe in this diet or calorie counting, god forbid, fad, and they just thought you should have like a proper meal, but a smaller amount. on a sandwich plate instead of like a proper dinner plate, perhaps. i do that anyway, but end up usually having the same bloody amount because i just pile it a tad higher, but shhhhhhh, i try not to! lol.

but then again, they werent really right. i mean, i never met my great-nan as she died before i was born by a few months, but my nan really can't comment on her weight. i don't talk to her any more, but she was piling on the pounds like anything. maybe that sounds mean, talking about my 70-odd year old nan like that, but it's true. she just ate s**t. ice buns, pastries, four meals sometimes a day, chips, everything. it was rubbish. i lived with her and my uncle for 11 somewhat morbid years, and my diet was appalling, yet they called me fat. all we ever ate was potato, chips, processed southern fried chicken, or meat and potato pasties. maybe we'd have a curry. i never had any meat or anything, becuase my uncle was this supposed vegetarian and my nan licked his arse so much i had to suffer and not have meat for 11 years, because it put him off his appetite, and if i even mentioned the word 'pork chop', i'd be looked at in disgust. fortunately now though, i live with my mum, and she loves meat. if anything, we have it too much, and i actually had to say to her today when i noticed this morning she was thawing out two pieces of steak on the sink side for tea later on, that i didnt want steak, and i wanted chicken instead, because we'd had meat all week! xx.

what exactly is wrong with carbs? i don't get this, and never have. certainly i dont see anything wrong with bread, but i don't eat too much of it anyway, simply because i have more of like an order and routine with my eating. yesterday i had around 3 slices of wholemeal bread - which is tons for me, but it was neccessary because i was going on a night out and i wanted something to line my stomach, even though this failed miserably! i had half a slice of wholemeal toast in the morning with marmite, and then at around lunch, for my 'lining', i had two slices for cheese toasties, and then when i got it, i had another half slice of wholemeal to accompany my chicken and mushroom soup, which i swear's given me the s**ts, lol. still, i don't get this bread fad anyway. i just think it makes you bloated.

is that why people don't like carbs? because they make you bloated?

doesn't bloated fill you up for longer though, and then you won't eat or indulge in fatty snacks because your already full?

the only down sides i can see myself to bloatedness is that you look rather tubby in tight-fitting tops, and you get the burps, or even worse, 'back burps', lol.

xx.

don't domino's pizza have this option where when you ring up for a takeaway, or order at the actual place i suppose, that you can opt for the low-fat mozzarella cheese topping anyway?

i've never actually had the pleasure of having a domino's. we have one within three miles, but we dont really order out, because we're s**t poor. lmao. and takeaways are incredibly unhealthy, but they're alright for an indulgence, and if you can't be arsed going out for the indulgence. last time we ordered out was maybe two months ago, for the first time EVER - i'd never actually lived in a house where we ordered out, amazing, i know - and we opted for a chinese instead of the domino's. it was just far too expensive, and we surmised that the chinese would be a tiny bit more healthier than the domino's. plus, if my mum had've caught me ordering the low-fat mozarella, she'd have complained like a bald man without a henry hoover. wait, what?? xx.

Foods sweet foods problem Jun 06 2008
16:06 (UTC)

oh, we've ALL eaten cake mix out the box. i once was so gluttonous, i ate the actual f***ing box!

lmao.

but the simple way to this addiction is, just stop. i had, until a few days ago, exactly the same problem. i simply couldnt stop dreaming of cake. i was at a filming in london, a shoot like, and they brought cupcakes in from primrose hill bakery for the cast and crew to share, and i ate them all before anyone could get their hands on them. then at other times, i'd spend my college dinner tickets on entire bags of confectionery, and skip lunch just so that after dinner i could have something sweet, and on a day i'd know i'd be eating something sweet, like, a cherry strudel, i'd practically count down the seconds until after tea, so i could eat it. i simply couldnt wait to sink my teeth into it, and oh my god, it gave me the shakes. i even dreamt about f***ing lemon meringue pie from asda cafe, just because i didnt have enough money for one when i was in asda in the town centre one time. and then the other day, when i was doing some more filming about two weeks ago, i bought for no reason at all, a large cornish pasty and a jam doughnut from greggs bakery, but i thought, fair play, that's about a dinner equivelant for me. but as soon as i got the sugary hit from the jam in the doughnut, that was it, i was on a binge. i marched straight to asda, bought a slice of chocolate cake, contemplated taking part in a 3-for-1 offer on cream slices, and then bought well over a 400g pick'n'mix bag, full of sweets, caramel cups, white chocolate mice, EVERYTHING. and i felt such a pig after it. i didnt stop eating till my stomach felt like a rock. and that was it. i had to stop, i had to. i was so sick that night i couldnt have a bath properly, and i had to climb out, with one unshaven f***ing leg.

so i took the advice of a girl i met at the london filming, who noted how much i was devouring the cupcake. she said, 'just stop'. and i did. i just stopped. now, it's been a week, and i havent touched any form of cake. there's a jam and cream cake in the cupboard, and i simply wont touch it. my mum bought me a bar of turkish delight, and i gave it to my friend, adam, which when i saw how he ate the entire BAR in one sitting, with a cup of tea, truly showed me how gluttonous i was being. and i feel so much better because of it. instead of cake for desserts, i now either have a yoghurt, or a rice pudding pot. it's so much better.

just stop. :) xx.

lmao ironically, my local pizza hut has just bloody burnt down. i'm sure they got bloody speedy service. haha.

but i prefer thin'n'crispy too, and so does my mum! i dont know what it is, but stuffed crusts and all this pepperoni and cheese actually in the crust, aswell as deep pan, they just seem gluttonous. and whats the point of having a topping, if the toppings in the base? and deep pan, i've never been a fan of anyway, because it's like eating a bloody hot sandwich then - like a loaf of bread with hot filling, yet it's open. it's just weird. i'd say thin'n'crispy's definitly better, and you don't feel as bloated after. haha, which means, as majorie dawes off little britain said 'you can eat twice as much!'. lmao. you cant really. dont worry. well, you can, but then you will be bloated, so that would just be stupid. :) xx.

oh my god, i love mcflurrys! whenever i go to mcdonalds, more's the f***ing pity, i always have one after some ridiculous bloody big mac or something. last time i had one, i was in camden about to do some filming, and i had this like half-price mcdonalds voucher, so i went in and ordered a big mac, small fries, a small chocolate milkshake and a crunchie-flavoured mcflurry. topped off with all the other s**te i ate that day, fortunately, i didnt put on any weight, even though one mcflurry, if your 618 calorie counting is right, is like most of my entire days allowance on a normal day! lol. enjoy it though, as long as you only have one every so often then it wont do anything. it's not like your doing that supersize me programme. i dunno if you've ever seen it, but he eats like a mcdonalds two or three times a day, and everytime he's hungry, and he's so fat at the end of it we could've sent him to africa, in a particularly cannibilistic place, and helped solve world hunger for f***ing centuries! xx.

ah, i haven't done one of these in a while, and a notification in my email telling me i had a mysterious reply's made me want to do one! *spooky dance*

so....

for brekkie, i had half a slice of brown bread toast with marmite, a glass of smooth orange juice (tasted like f***ing mixed fruit juice though, ick, i think it was slightly off), and a cup of milky tea with three sugars.

for lunch, i had a coffee with semi-skimmed milk, three sweetners, and a green apple

for tea, i had a relatively small-medium steak, with lettuce, peppers, a few beetroot, low fat salad cream and a glass of water, with the added fruit tasty stuff to make it taste less watery. then i had a muller rice pudding pot, in 'original' flavour. fun. x.

lollll.. I despise butter but LOVE peanut butter. and agelikiaddcition, didn't you say you hated calories as well? Tongue out I'm sorry, but this is already too funny.

lmao yes i'm the calorie hater! infact, if i could consume 0 calories a day, i'd be the happiest lassie alive. :)

and to xeonicus, above me, i know what you mean about pecans, and stuff like you get those little bags of bombay mixes and nuts and s**t from vending machines. when i was first at college, i tried one of the bombay mixes, which tasted like utter rabbit food, but i thought, ooh, low calorie content, and then when i checked the back, it had like half a days worth in! xx.

argh! peanut butter! it's from HELL. i hate this 'healthy fat' things, in my rather large book, there's no such thing as a healthy fat. even the word fat repulses me. my mate lee, well, he's not my mate, but this lad i know, called lee, reckons just because he used to suffer apparently from anorexia but now he's recovered (even though he has a phobia of touching apple stalks, for some bizarre reason, and he has a fear of the smell of greggs bakery), that he's some form of nutrition expert, and he constantly tells me peanut butter is good. it's NOT. i remember the last time somebody told me peanuts and the like were good, and i was like 11 and naive, and i went onto this peanut diet, where everytime i was hungry, i ate those peanut cereal bars called tracker, and i went up to 10 and a half stone! and when i questioned why, it's because peanuts are like the most calorific things ever. and teamed with butter? isn't butter just pure fat anyway?

it's all disgusting, i'm convinced.

luckily, i hate butter anyway, and i've never touched it since i was 3. i dont know why, but i always remember trying a ham and cheese and butter sandwich at my nan's, and the butter stuck to the roof of my mouth, and it disgusted me so much, i havent touched it since.

lo-fat salad cream rules all Smile xx
