I guess it all boils down to if you aren't 5'6'' and a size 2, you are doomed. But that's another story. |

This talk of products for larger folks leads me to my gripe of not being able to find clothes for women that are not only plus-size but tall sized as well. At 5'11'', and a size 24, if I find something that does fit (like a suit) nine times out of ten the sleeves are too short and the jacket is way too short. I usually end up with a size 24 jacket and 22 pants because at least with the top being a little bigger it gives me a little more length. I just recently have found a couple of websites that sell tall plus-sized clothing. I just don't understand. It's like designers either think people are tall and skinny or short and fat. Sorry, just had to air my frustration on that one. |

Way to go on dropping that fifteen pounds!!! I wish I had a secret and I wish I could continue such large drops. But I am sure March won't be so astonishing. Still, I will continue. My biggest thing that helps is cutting out my massive consumption of "sweet tea." You know, us Southerners are consumed by it. I've switched to my Sweet 'n' Low in my iced tea which isn't quite the same but I can live with it.

I have no trouble controlling my eating during the day. However, once night comes, I want to eat everything in sight. My evening meal is always a lean protein, usually a baked potato or baked sweet potato, and a couple of green vegetables. A couple of hours after that I want to eat anything I can get my hands on. Any suggestions on how to control my late-night cravings? |

| Well, I weighed this weekend. Boy was I shocked! I knew I had lost a little but I was a little in disbelief and weighed four times because the scales revealed that I had lost 19 pounds in two weeks! That is correct, 19 pounds! Needless to say, I am extremely happy and even more energized to continue. I have been watching everything I eat and walking at least every other day. I realize that much of it must be water weight, however, I am pretty pumped. SW: 306.5 CW: 287.5 GW: 185 Pounds Lost Thus Far: 19 |

I've just been reading your posts and thought I would introduce myself. At 28, I have hit my heaviest. I weighed on one scale over the weekend and came up with 306.5. On the other scale, I weighed 295. I would say it is a pretty safe bet that I am right at 300 pounds right now. I have been chubby since childhood. At 5'0'' and 120 pounds, I was the largest child in the 3rd grade. I grew to an adult height of 5'11'' and at 19 I hit 245 pounds. At that time I decided that I needed to make a change and got down to 185, which is thin for me. I was running 2 or 3 miles each day, lifting weights, and playing sports all the time. I maintained that loss for a couple of years but as soon as I graduated from college and got into a high-stress, 50 to 70 hours a week job, the pounds have just piled on. So now, six years later, not only did I gain back those 60 pounds I lost, but an additional 55. So here I am. I am sick and tired of being tired and fat. I just got back from walking two miles in this lovely 20 degree, wind chill of 10 weather. I am determined to get my life back. I had cereal and fruit for breakfast. I am bound and determined that I am going to succeed this time. Sorry to be so long winded, but you guys seem to have a pretty good community here and I would love to have something to turn to for support other than my 125 pound friends if you know what I mean. I mean, they just don't understand. |
