This isn't really revenge. But I had to add this. My Dad told me that if my Mother looked the way I do, he would have never married her. I have forgiven my Dad for saying that. He ended up passing away suddenly a few months after that comment. But of course, never forgot it. When I now get the urge to binge, I remember that comment. |

I love green tea!! It is very healthy for you! If you google the benefits of drinking it, and you will find out that it has lot's of antioxidants in it, gives you natural energy, and I find it's an appetite suppresant. I buy the Tetley brand, or I go to an asian market and buy a big bag of loose green tea leaves. |

| Foods | How BIG is your breakfast? | Mar 29 2008 05:27 (UTC) |

My breakfast varies, depends on how much time I have and how hungry I am. Most of the time it's fruit with about a cup of yogurt, or a bagel, or I'll have two scrambled eggs with two dry toast. I'll wash it down with tea or water. |

| Weight Loss | Do you eat the same food you always did in moderation, or did you change your menu completely? | Mar 26 2008 17:28 (UTC) |

I changed alot! My diet before was very big on large drive-thru meals, and frozen dinners. I always loved fruit and veggies, now I eat them alot more, i stay away from the fast food, and restaurants. If i do go, I make much healthier choices. Plus portion control was huge for me. Very large portions, and even if i was stuffed, i still felt the need to clean my plate. Over time I've learned to have smaller portions, and I'm trying to eat slower. I also gave up diet pepsi, and drink alot of water or tea now. Pizza and pasta are my favourite foods, now I have them in moderation. Plus I don't buy chips and candy on purpose, so I don't want to binge on them. If i'm craving sweets, I'll have some fruit. |

| Foods | Stomach Ache......What should I eat? | Mar 26 2008 17:15 (UTC) |

If I have an upset stomach I find simple foods like beef broth or consumme soup with some rice, tea, banana, crackers, jell-o, or yogurt seem to go down. Of course not all together!! Those seem to be safe foods for me, as I have a weak stomach and can get nauseated easily. |

| Foods | if calories were non existant, what would you eat EVERYDAY? | Mar 14 2008 09:31 (UTC) |

| Oh man! My mouth is watering. Assuming salt and sugar intake wouldn't also matter.... Definately pizza (any kind, one of my faves is from Boston Pizza), poutine (fries with gravy and mozza cheese), fries, chicken fingers, very large end pieces of birthday cake, cheesecake, very big chili burger from a local greek restaurant, oreos, french crusty bread with cream cheese, cheese bagels, spaghetti, lasagne, nachos, chips with salsa or guacamole, doritos, ketchup potato chips..... I do still eat some of these things, only now in moderation. Some of these I have not had in at least 6 months. *sigh* | |||

| I'm doing the 'happy dance'!!! I started at 215, got down to 205, and stayed that way for two weeks, I had my weigh in yesterday, and I'm down to 202! My first goal is to get too 199, and my next goal is to get to 190 in time for my birthday in april. How I broke my plateau??? I drank tons of water, and basically eliminated diet soda, now i have one can a week as a treat, and i've upped my salad intake, and "stir-fry" veggie intake.. Congrats everyone! We can do it!! | |||

| I cannot stand celery! (I thought I was the only celery hater! LOL!), any canned fish, and oatmeal!!! It's the looks, and the texture. It looks like something somebody ate and lost. I also can't stand garlic. I can take it in very small doses, but if the food has garlic in the title, like garlic shrimp, or garlic bread, too overpowering, forget it! | |||

| I just have a regular digital scale, so it only gives me the .5, not the .2, or .7, etc. Would like to eventually get one though! I drink about 2 liters of water a day, and a 12 cup coffee pot full of tea, or herbal tea with splenda. Most evenings, I will drink one cup of 1% milk. I know it sounds like alot, but I keep active, and I get hot or sweat easy. | |||

I once was 124 pounds and stayed that way for about 5 years. Now I'm counting calories, and have a labor intensive job (once again). So we can motivate each other!! Is it okay to add you guys as friends??? | |||
| Weight Loss | Breakfast - how to start the day | Feb 11 2008 14:34 (UTC) |
|
| My breakfast depends on how much time I have, and how hungry I am. Usually two scrambled eggs with 2 rye bread toast (dry) and tea with splenda. Or I will have some yogurt with a handfull of grapes or a half of a cantalope or honeydew. If I'm really in a rush, I'll have an apple with some peanut butter. I know it sounds like I have huge breakfasts, but I think in doing so, I'm not starving come lunch time, and eat smaller lunches. | |||
| Weight Loss | Is there a limit for water? | Feb 04 2008 05:53 (UTC) |
|
| I think the amount of water you are drinking is good! I would just be carefull that you are drinking because you are thirsty, and are not having the feeling of an unquenchable thirst. That is a symtom of diabetes. It's very common in my family, and drinking tons of water, when they are not thirsty was always one of the first warning signs. | |||
| Motivation | Anyone else have trouble drinking enough water?? | Feb 04 2008 05:32 (UTC) |

| I think 5.5 pounds in the first 3 weeks is awesome!! About the water issue. Everybody is different. I find it hard especially in winter when it is really cold. What I do is have water with a wedge of lemon in it, it does give tap water some flavour, and i drink it before every meal. Or sometimes Crystal Light if i'm bored. But i have been drinking a coffee pot's worth of herbal tea, between the late afternoon, and evening. It helps curb the evening urge to snack. | |||
