The Biggest Loser book has been a HUGE inspiration to me.  It has all the people from the first two seasons sharing the reasons why they were overweight and what enabled them.  Then . .how they overcame it.  The eating plan is a sensible one.  Trying to lose as much weight as they do on the show so quickly is almost impossible to do in a home setting.  They adhere to strict diets of low carbs and high protein which anyone can do BUT they work out from 4 to 6 hours a day while on the ranch!!  Yikes!  Who has time for that!??  But if you follow their advice you can do it gradually. 

 One thing I learned from the book--did you know it takes 3500 burned calories to lose 1 pound??  Interesting. . . . .
