Im not short but can I join you guys?!! I also want to really lose these last ten pounds! I cant seem to get rid of it. I had a baby in July and I want to be where I was before I got pregnant and Im using her first birthday party as motivation. Before my baby I was 146 and by the time I reached the hospital to deliver her I was up 206! Thats double the recommended weight gain!! Anyway Ive been at 156 forever now and would just love to be back by her birthday although Im sure my stomach will never look the same. Oh well. Need motivation and support. I'd love to join you guys in the journey |

Original Post by schnooder: I think alot here are getting the wrong idea about christians. Have you ever considered of where it comes from? I believe it comes from a loving place in their hearts that they feel compelled to share. I mean if you discovered something great that really helped you out wouldnt you want to share it with the world?? Ok for instance most of us are here because we want to lose weight. What if you discovered something maybe some food that you found out that if you ate once a day or something you would lose ten pounds every week with no negative side effects. Tell me you wouldnt want to tell the whole world?!! You would be so happy you couldnt stop talking about it. It would be the topic of conversation all day. I think its the same thing with Christians. They have discovered something amazing that they have been missing their whole lives and they just want to share it with the world and because its coming from a loving heart like I said in the begining they just want you to also discover it for yourself. I dont think its necessarily to harass you or make you feel uncomfortable. I seriously dont think that is it. I dont think that the way that lady went about it was appropriate but maybe we just need to think about where its coming from and not interpret it in a way that probably wasnt intended.

| Pregnancy & Parenting | Would this be a bad idea? | Feb 14 2008 16:33 (UTC) |

| I think its a great Idea to lose wieght first. I lost thirty pounds right before I got pregnant and I think it was the best thing I could do. I gained 60 pounds by the time I got to the hospital! I must admit I didnt eat healthy at all and I had a bit of a hard time after the second trimester. I often thought wow Im sure glad I dropped those pounds right before or I would have really been miserable! Anyway, after giving birth the weight seemed to just fall off! I lost 40 something pounds very soon after and I didnt really try. I believe the breastfeeding also helped. My baby is now seven months old and I just started watching what I eat and hitting the gym. Im not too far from my pre pregnancy weight now but I really recommend you lose some before. It will make you feel better and I think it helps get in shape afterwards. Anyway good luck with everything!! The best part is the little bundle of joy!! It makes everything you go through worth while. You will see. Take care | |||
