Weight Loss Isagenix...have you heard of this? Feb 20 2008

Isagenix.........Not a big fan! I did it last summer. It does work temporarily I lost 6 pounds on the 9 day cleanse. Its great for a fast solution, but, if you don't continue the "program" you gain all the weight back and then some. You have to have a strong willpower, no eating the first 2 days just water and the cleanse drink...then for 5 days a shake for breakfast, shake for lunch, then sensible dinner (fish or chicken mainly), then back to the 2 day cleanse again. It's also a bit costly. I have a friend that is still on the program, and has done well. I like a little more variety in my food.I also enjoy salt and sugar, which is an absolute no-no with this diet.

So...are we weighing in on Fridays now?  Haven't checked in in a few.

Soup is a great way to keep hunger pains away. Anyone ever made the weight watchers veggie soup? You could eat on it all day "0" points. I still make it.   Start with chopped onion, garlic, cilantro or parsley, celery....saute. add fat free chicken broth 2 cans, then your veggies ....carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, 1 can of stewed tomatoes or rotel tomatoes with the juices, green beans (fresh), cabbage, then a 1/2 small can of tomatoe paste, and salt-free seasoning. I add crushed red pepper seasoning to spice it up. You can add other veggies....potatoes were not reccommended because of the starch and higher calorie count. I know when I was in weight watchers I lost 30 pounds. This soup was one of my staples.

Oh, and my husband did great on Valentines....flowers and chocolate covered strawberries!

Valentines day .....Romance, love, flowers, DINNER, CANDY! I have told my hubby No Candy, we'll see if he listens.

Its our anniversary Sunday...We're going to our favorite Mexican restaurant in Austin. I love the guacamole, chips, salsa, margaritas, oh My Gosh! I can feel my butt growing just thinking about it.

The weather in Texas has been incredible...but, there's a cold front coming through bringing sleet, and rain. I can't wait for consistent warm weather.

I'm a night -time snacker...

Water with lemon works for me, although every now and then I have to have something....try Kashi cereal to snack on High fiber, low fat, low calories. I keep those little snack bags with the cereal already pre-measured. I keep them in the car too.

How many of you FORBID the hubbies from buying Valentine Candies????   Happy V-Day ladies.

I'm with you...I think portion control is one of my main downfalls, that and late night snacking. I get so hungry around 8p.m. I've been tring to satisfy the cravings with popcorn and water. I also have a passion for mexican food, Chips and Salsa, YUM!

This week I'm going to try and eat more veggies and fruits.....meatless soup is also good fillers.

I'm in on the weigh in on Mon. Thanks ladies

Ever tried the Whey protein powders with soy milk? I was reading this magazine that said if you eat 20 grams of whey protein and at least 20 grams of soy protein together twice a day that it helps speed the metabolism and you'll lose weight. So...I started making this protein shake (1 scoop vanilla whey protein, 2-3 frozen strawberries, 1/4 of a banana, 1/4 cup plain yogurt, 1 cup of soy milk (light) and 2-3 cubes ice blended) thought can't hurt, everything in its healthy. I'm drinking these things 2x a day then for a snack eating soy protein bars at night  a healthy dinner did this for a week. This is how I gained 2 pounds! I actually felt better while I was drinking them and they are filling.....any suggestions on what went wrong???

Hi everyone...

I'm 48 years old, live in Texas and have 12-15 pounds that won't budge! Being idle right now from the season is depressing. I bought a treadmill for Christmas, thought I was eating healthier but, this morning I weighed in and I gained a pound! I need HELP and encouragement.

I just started logging my foods and activity ..... guess we'll see.
