Weight Gain Huge step... anyone else have a big step they've made recently?? Apr 25 2008

I don't have ED, I was just naturally tiny and skinny. But lately I've been putting a concious effort into eating a lot more to try to gain about 10 to 15 lbs. So far, 1/3 way through. Normally I'm not able to eat big quantities at once, but I can snack all day long.

This past Saturday, I took a friend to Haagen-Daaz, and got both of us a scoop of ice cream. Normally, for some reason, I could never finish it. This time I not only finished entire thing but could have gone for more. Yummmm

I've gone from being around 87lb for about a decade to about 93-94 lbs, and keeping it for the last few months.
Another 6 lbs or so and I'd be totally happy.

I had 2 chicks ambush me at Ren Fair and tell me I should go on a diet "a cake a day diet" I kinda growled at them, and said something about liking being petite. Other times I would say that since my doc has no concerns over my health, I am rather happy being as I am, tiny.

I just have an odd quirk. I don't like to have proteins touching the side dishes, unless it's one of those on-dish entrees.

What?! How do guns feed families? I may be tired, but I'm really not understanding this statement right now.

Edit: HAHA, leave it to a vegan to not understand how guns feed people.

 LOL

Guns have fed families and protected mentioned above homes. That makes them as important as a brick.

Gun control is a governmental guarentee to the criminals that their victims are defenseless.

Remember, like a brick, g un is a tool that ca n be used to good or  for bad.

Oh, also try this. When you have green beans, if you have ones outta the can, throw them on a skillet and throw an egg over them and just make pretty much scambled egg with it. It's pretty great, and that adds a bit more calories as well.

Boiled eggs are good too.  Easy and quick to e at.

Some people are though. I'm 25, and can fit into size 12 kid's jeans. I am size 00. I've been that for a decade. I have doctor checkups, bloodwork done and everything and they all said that I'm in perfect. I do eat everything that I can, I love red meat, bbq, and unfortunatly have too much fast food. Yet, nothing, I can't gain.

My mother was the same&nb sp;way as well. She didn't start gaining  until she had me at  age of 39.

One thought though. Make sure to get your thyroid gland checked. My guy's dad had horrible depression, and they found out that it was due to his thyroid glad being essentially dead. You want to make&nb sp;sure that your thyroid  ;is working properly.

How about switching from nonfat yogurt to regular yogurt. Have some nuts throughout the day, and some milk. Good luck :)

I'm using the site to gain weight as well, but I'm not an athlete. I've been the same weight since I was 16. And it seems like I couldn't put on weight. I use this site to make sure I eat enough because between law school and work, sometimes you just get too busy.

Maybe what you need to&nb sp;also pay attention is  that you eat more than you burn.

"Well said CD.

I've been with my guy  for 4.5 years. We've talked marriage soon after we became exclusive. I know I want to marry him, but I have doubt.

I think you need to get through the honeymoon stage, where the blood comes back to your head and you're able to think again. There is nothing wrong with long engagement. There is also nothing wrong with waiting to get engaged, or asking to extend the engagement. Trust me, divorce is so much worse, it's so much uglier and hurtful and messy. I deal with them every day working for a family law attorney. So don't be upset with him, he's being smart and grown up. There is nothing wrong with waiting.

And CD, if you're so concerned with his family thinking you're a gold digger, consult an attorney and get a pre-nup."

Don't worry. If everything goes ok, you'll be able to eat anything you want within a few days. I had a wisdom tooth pulled, and was able to eat things within 4 or 5 days. Until then I had a lot of soft foods, apple sauce, ice cream( I could get away with it, but maybe light version may work for you, it especially helped to stop the blleding the first day), had bread, juice, milk.

Whatever you do, do not&n bsp;drink thru a straw or  do "sucking" motion . It can dislodge the&nbs p;scab that forms and giv e you dry socket, which&n bsp;I heard is worse than  child birth.

Don't worry too much, rea lly. Things will be back& nbsp;to normal. Until then&nbs p;you can also make best& nbsp;friends with your blender  :)

Weight Loss BEER Feb 02 2008

It depends on the kind of beer you get. If you get something like Bud or Miller, or any of that diluted stuff, that's empty calories. But if you get a good microbrewed beer, that still has trac es of yeast in them,  ;might be ok. That yeast actually has a lot of nutrients and is pretty healthy. In old times, homebrewed beer was one of the ways that people would get nutrients during the winter.

We got jerks for neighbors. They are nosy, staring outta their door every time our door opens. Then the wife got on our case when we were grilling a steak that it stank. HEllo.... it's a freaking ribeye, ribeye does not stink. So... I'm considering buying a bugle or bagpipes and learning how to play them. They can't say anything if I practice before 9 pm :D
