Erin Jameson. Not just because of how her body looks but because of what she can do with it! http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/ hs246.snc1/9323_149369242398_149360077398_287 3631_5083529_n.jpg |

I have no idea about the costs, but I personally don't mind most hairy male bodyparts - very hairy back is off-putting, but for the rest I much prefer hairy bodyparts over (too) smooth metrosexual skin It would take a few weeks for the hairs to grow back to their full length, it also depends on bodypart. |

When I was bedridden for several weeks, I didn't notice any loss of muscle after first 2 weeks, if that makes you feel better. |

I usually get an A, but since I'm not American, I can't find most of the food in the CC database and have to enter the values myself. My nutrient intake is good, though. I make sure I'm getting enough of everything. I do consume too much sugar, but CC also accounts for the sugars found in fruit and non-sweetened food. |

Greek yogurt - it's so creamy and thicker than sour cream, but Fage total 0% is really low-cal and full of protein. |

| Weight Loss | Face or Body? Which would you choose? | May 10 2009 19:28 (UTC) |

I'd also choose the face, since I much prefer the youthful look. Besides I don't dress provocatively, so noone but my bf would ever see my body, and he already likes it. |

I'm female, 22 y-o, 5'6" and 118 lbs, eating from 1800-2150 and currently maintaining. I cycle for 20-50 minutes daily (commuting), I run for about 30 min daily, I kick hacky sack from 30-60 minutes and I do calisthenics for at least 20 minutes a day, but on most days I add in about 30 minutes of weight training. I hike and take longer trips with bike on weekends. On weekdays I usually don't exceed 2-2 1/4 hours of exercise (it's actually very simple to incorporate it into my day - cycling is the only pleasant way to college, I kick hacky with friends, I run with my bf, I do calisthenics and weights in front of tv with my mother). Doing different types of exercises for shorter periods of time keeps me interested and it's easy to find time for them. 2000 cals seemed like a lot to me, I was steadily losing (albeit slowly, but I didn't really need to lose anything to be healthy, it was just the vanity pounds) on about 1650 a day with just 25 minutes of cycling and 30 minutes running in the winter, but now that it's sunny and warm outside, it's no problem. Besides, I need to burn off those extra few cals so I can eat ice-cream :) |

I've always wanted to be a boy, ever since I was little. All my male friends were/are funnier, more relaxed and don't complicate as much as females. And as far as physiology goes, they have better muscle mass, no period, they don't give birth.. All pluses in my book! And if I were born a guy, I'd probably be really hairy.. and really funny. No shaving legs and it wouldn't be weird as it is if I make certain jokes as a female. The only thing I like at being a woman is the option to paint my nails and not be discriminated for it |

I was on Diane at 16 (am 22 now), but stopped using it pretty shortly since I was getting terrible migraines with every period. My skin improved, my breasts grew (of course not permanently :)) and I think I noticed more cellulite at the time, but if it was because of the pill or other factors, I couldn't tell. My period was definitely lighter, which was a huge plus, since my blood doesn't coagulate well. |

| Weight Loss | Out drinking/partying all night?! | May 07 2009 18:36 (UTC) |

When I used to be in the party scene, it was ecstasy keeping everyone skinny. It wasn't just the whole night of dancing, though, people literally didn't go to bed for 2 consecutive days. We went to afterparty, then lunged around whole day, not eating much, then went to another party the next evening. I actually wasn't taking any illegal substances, but still danced a lot. 7 hours of vigorous dancing is still quite a workout. |

| Recipes | TUNA- anyone have any good ways to make tuna fish with no mayo?? | May 07 2009 14:32 (UTC) |

I heat red onions and garlic and add tuna just to heat it up, then eat it with whole wheat bread and red beans. Either that or "guacamole" in pieces - basically shredded avocado, tomato, onions, a drop of vinegar and spicy salt. |

| Weight Loss | Setting for Activity Level Question Please Help | May 06 2009 07:02 (UTC) |

I'm fairly active, but I have my meter set at sedentary and log all exercise separately. It gives me about the same number than it would if I had it set to light activity, and I do up to 2 hours of exercise daily (cycling, hacky sack, running, pilates, weights). Judging by what and how much I eat, this number seems more accurate for me. |

You shouldn't feel bad about taking a day off, especially if you're that busy with schoolwork. In the long term failed exams would be way worse than 500 extra calories you would've burned at the gym. Good luck with your exams! |

I think I once ate a pizza with salami when drunk beyond belief, but I can't recall (other than throwing it up the next day). I never liked salami or meat pizza, but I don't think I even cared what I was putting in my mouth at the time, it could be painted cardboard and I wouldn't notice.

I can't offer any useful information about the vegan baking (since I eat eggs and don't bake :)), but why all the apologizing for being uneducated about someone's preferences? I'd be amazed if someone in my office/school was that considerate! |

| Fitness | Anyone on their journey with out the use of a gym? | Apr 04 2009 12:16 (UTC) |

My home gym is in my living room and consists of jump rope, pilates mat, 2lb, 5 lb, 11 lb and 22 lb dumbells, resistance bands, stability ball (that I also use for sitting instead of a chair). I did some pilates video twice, but got pretty bored soon, so I normally first go out and run for 15-30 minutes to warm up, then do my own circuit training (but all exercises in one place, because the room isn't big) and mix intervals of cardio (jump rope, kicks, punches, jumping jacks, etc) with weights and stretching. All the equipment I use (except running shoes) was cheaper than paying gym fee for 2 months and I can see results. |

| Weight Loss | Weightloss takes EFFORT! agree or disagree? | Nov 12 2008 05:40 (UTC) |
|
I have no problems losing weight as a college student. I just make healthy choices and bring them with me instead of eating out. I get my daily dose of fruit before I even return home in the afternoon and I get around with a bike, which is cheaper, faster and healthier than using a car or public transportation (in my city). The problem for me is to eat enough for my brain to function properly - I have very hard time concentrating when hungry. I eat something small like a piece of fruit, yogurt or nuts during every pause. Others would go out to smoke, but I'd be kicking footbag with some guys and chewing on something. It's probably easier to not get overweight in the first place than try to get slim again, though, I agree. Good luck! |

I don't see how going out to eat, even if just to fast food restaurant, is less time consuming than preparing your own food. It doesn't have to be marinated and baked for hours to taste good. Even if you made just a sandwich yourself, it could be way more healthy than Big Mac or the like. Grilled vegetables, tofu, eggs, omelettes, fish, etc can all be made in a matter of minutes. Buying a pack of washed and sliced vegetables or mixed salad in a grocery store is way cheaper than buying a miniature salad in a restaurant - and you can season it yourself with low-fat yogurt or whatever you wish. Then again I might be lucky because the habits in my country are different and people don't have fast food for their main meals. |

I make mine with either: tuna, onion, green salad, tomatoes or red beans; low-fat cow-milk cheese, green salad, olives, green pepper; salmon, egg, green salad, onion; goat-milk or blue cheese, walnuts or pecans, arugula. I use cherry tomatoes and eat them on the side instead of slicing a big tomato, I also like their taste better. I'm not a big fan of putting fruit on sandwiches like some people like to do, I eat them in whole pieces instead, so I'm not very creative |

It's usable till Feb if not opened at all. When you open it, it comes in contact with air and possible bacteria on your hands, kitchen knife, etc. It just looks the same to you, because you don't have microscopic vision. |

Are you actually pulling one pedal up at the same time you're pushing the other one down? If you have appropriate shoes, it's much easier. More muscles are working and it's very effective. |
