I've been weighing myself daily for at least 5 years.  It keeps me accountable.  I'd say his taking your scale is pretty controlling.

Check out your local YMCA; they have all kinds of adult sports teams/leagues that are fun and not too competitive.  Does your work have any corporate games?  Those can be good as well.

Depends on if what you are saying is interesting, and whether or not you monopolize the conversation.

Try Nioxin hair products.  Also, take a multi-vitamin religiously.  This helped mine out (it's since grown back & thick again).

I just got Paraguard last week.  I have a blood-clotting tendency, so my gyno wouldn't use mirena.

That said, insertion REALLY hurt.  Now, I've never had a child, but the gyno said the cramping is similar to contractions.

I am still cramping a little, and bleeding, but it seems to be getting better.  I can feel the strings as well.

I have two children.

All I'll say is that babies are vicious little ungrateful incommunicative parasites and I'm not having another one.

However, once kids are able to form sentences, dress themselves, feed themselves (i.e. use utensils and napkins), and are potty-trained, they are quite enjoyable.

LOL.  I agree.

I direct 10+ after-school programs, a summer camp, and a daycare.  If any of my staff bought gifts for an individual child, or gave a child their phone number, I would immediately terminate them.  It's part of our child abuse & neglect policies.

This teacher is crossing a line.

THANKS for venting.  I thought I was the  only one who had this magic 5 lb gain for no reason.  I broke my last scale stomping on it b/c of this phenomena...

It's irritating, to say the least.  I've been maintaining for 5 yrs; gained 10 & trying to knock it off.  My body is not yielding the extra 10.  Ugh.

I don't understand how anyone can let anything become their reason for living.... work, relationship, whatever.... yea, being sad is fine, but those people who die after their partner is just an example of crazy o.O

It is not abnormal.  Grieving is stressful.  Stress can cause death (ie:  heart attacks, etc).

My brother died in December, and my mother has had acute angina pain for a while now.

I think if you're going to use it for chili, spaghetti, whatever that rinsing is  fine.  I don't rinse when the meat is sauce-less, but i do use paper towels to absorb grease as I'm cooking and afterwards.

I work for the YMCA and I hear crap all day about what I'm eating or not eating!  I also get tired of the personal comments about how I look, etc.

I think that people assume if you are at a normal weight, you are "free game"  for any comments, because you must not have insecurities or feelings.

Do you have a Hy-Vee?  They have a light italian for less than $2.00 per loaf.

Healthy Life is usually around $2.19 here, and cheaper at Wal-Mart.  Healthy Life also has english muffins for 90 cal apiece which are great.

If it's on sale, I LOVE the Wonderbread Light Sourdough.  It is really dense.

Weight Loss What size pants do you wear? Oct 30 2008

Jeans:  6 or 8, depending on stretch and cut.  I have to fit my thighs, which makes slim cut difficult if not impossible.

Dress Pants:  Always an 8, mainly because they drape better.

Skirts & Dresses:  Usually a 6, sometimes a 4.

Shirts:  Small; sometimes an XS.

Bra:  36B or 34/36 C

5.5 1/2; 139 lbs.

Most Thanksgiving foods are pretty healthy.  I just skip gravy, tons of butter, etc.  I mean, how bad is Turkey breast, green beans, sweet potatos?  And pumpkin pie without the crust is pretty much health food, right?

Halloween?  Don't buy candy.

Christmas is the worst; I love to bake...and all the parties where you are asked to bring food kill me.  Last year I made 10 batches of fudge.  Put on 3lbs.  Ugh.

TJ Maxx; you've really got to watch the quality though.

Dillards runs the best sales out of all the department stores.  Especially shoes.

Kohls also runs good sales on jeans, etc.  Especially coupled with coupons.

Ann Taylor & Banana Republic are my favorites when I want to spend some cash.

Victoria's Secret's has great clothes; you can only order them online though.  However, they run decent sales.  I've bought two pairs of pants & been really happy with them.

You all are way more mature than I am.  I probably would have flipped him the bird, and pulled out my mace if he slowed down =).

If it makes you feel any better, I just kicked an old guy out of the Y for harrassing female staff members.  He liked to talk about how big his ahem was, and tell women how fat they were.  Jackass.
