Glad to see that everyone is doing so well. Also I would like to echo jens words to you G1rl79, you shouldnt be so worried about the day to day weights. I told myself I wouldnt weigh in every day but I do, I cant help it, so I know what it is like to have your weight change constantly and not always be happy with it, but like you proved, if you do it every now and then it is easier to see result. Great job!

Nope Mommybug, it is not too late, you can join whenever you would like.

Starting Weight(Feb 04): 280

Weight last weigh in (Mar 11): 253.6

Weight this week(Mar 11): 249.0

Weight Lost this week: 4.6

Weight lost total(6 weeks): 31.0

I am so psyched about this weeks for 2 reason. The first being that I past the loss of 30 pounds mark so I was really excited about that, and second because for the first time since I started I didnt gain weight over the weekened. I am always a little bad on weekends due to hanging out with friends and just eating whatever and gaining a bit of what I lost the previous week because of it but Friday I was 250.0 and this morning I was  249.0 so woooooooo!

Lost: 3.6

Yay, I did well.

Just wanted to pop in and welcome the two newest contestants Jenstaples and Duranj, glad you guys found my contest to suit you and I wish you both the best of luck!

As for your question Duranj, I started the contest on a wednesday and the first week runs to tomorrow (5th to the 11th) but you can post on a weekly based, on your schedule, or whenever you just have time, like I said above, my contest isnt really about time constraints, so whatever works best for you.

Hooray for early morning post!!

Boo ya! Take that .2 that I gained last week. I showed you whats what, and all your little buddies. I need to eat better on weekends, but its hard when I am hanging out with friends, not to mention I am totally a bored eater and weekends seem really long. Ah well, I did fine this week, here is hoping for another good one!

Quick shout out to Imhoff for getting below the 100 lbs to lose mark not to mention losing the most last week with 3.2, awesome work!

I know I am a couple days late, but I actually have my weight from Monday, was just trying not to post it, wasnt happy with it.

Starting Weight(Feb 04): 280

Weight last weigh in (Feb 18): 267.4

Weight this week(Feb 25): 267.6

Weight Lost this week: -0.2

Weight lost total(3 weeks): 12.4

Like I said, not to happy with gaining .2 back so I delayed posting, but I weighed myself this morning (I know I shouldnt have but I have been trying really hard to off set that .2 gain) and was at 261.0 so I figured it wasnt as big a deal. Challenges: Grandmother's funeral/wake, and family being in town led to peer pressure eating.

Thanks goes out to knitchick for the support, I am sorry for your loss as well, hope you are doing better.

I am with you there. I just bought bagels yesterday and I made sure the serving size one 1 full bagel, the hell if I am eating half.

Back on topic, I just had this problem yesterday actually. I was eating soup, Progresso I think, and it said 110 calories per serving, and I figured "ok about 2 cups so 2 servings", wrong! After looking again it was something along the lines of "about 2.2 servings" so it was 240 - 250 in all instead of 220. Granted it wasnt a huge difference, I am just trying to be supportive ^_^

Hi people!

I actually just found this website today and already I have found it to be of great help. I lost about 80 pounds 2 years ago dropping from like 300 to around 217-219. I was happy but I became complacent, lost time, all of the excuses and stopped working out. Recently I started again because I have reached a staggering 280, until 3 weeks ago I was running and twisted my ankle severely, and havent been able to since, so I figured cutting back on the calories would help. And I am always up for a challenge.

 Current Weight(February 04): 280

 

First week, other than just getting started in general no real challenges.
