i would like to be in your group also. I am 5' 10" and last wieghed in at 210 lbs (2 months ago. haven't weighed in since and kind of fell off the wagon due to a death in the family and business issues). Ready to get back into the routine. |

Yes it is possible. when I was working out at curves which is only a 30 minute workout, my highest calories burned was calculated at 714 and that was in 1/2 an hour. |

I have had the same problem. I have gone down 2 sizes, but only lost 12 lbs. when I was attending curves, the ladies told me that because of the development of muscles, the weight loss is les because muscles weighs more than fat. |

Just thought I would send a quick note to let every one know that I haven't quit the challenge. The past few weeks have been very hard on us. The first week my father-in-law was in the hospital and he was very ill. We got a call Monday the 18th that they found him on the floor by his bed and he had no heart beat. The did cpr for 21 minutes and got a heartbeat, but he was in a coma and on life support. We had to tell the doctor to take him off life support because his wish was not to be put back on it. He was on it once before. He passed away the next day. We were out of town for the rest of the week doing funeral arrangements and everything else. My children have taken it pretty hard now that Grandpa is gone. I will be continuing my weigh ins this week. On top of that, my husbands nieces and nephews were feeding my 15 year old alcohol behind my back, one of my daycare dad's yelled and screamed at me for taking time off due to his passing. So yeah, it's been a rough few weeks. hopefully this week we can get back on track.

Hi everyone. I would have posted sooner, but I was having problems with posting. A little about myself. I am 37 years old, Married for 5 years, 2 children, both girls ages 15 and 7. When I started I didn't realize how big I was until my husband took a starting picture for me. I couldn't figure out why everyone thought I was pregnant until I saw the pictures. I started cc back in February and then in March I started at curves. I haven't lost a lot of weight but I have lost lots of inches. I have gone from a size 18 jean down to a size 14 in 3 months. I work really hard at curves. I am burning at least 680 to 715 cals with each 30 min workout (thanks to the new curves smart machines). My start weight was 221 lbs. I am now down to 209.4. I would like to get down to about 160 lbs if I can.
Went camping with my brother and his family while on holidays and I wore a 2 piece bathing suit for the first time in my life. I know my husband is really happy with the progress I have made. He comments to me everyday how awesome I am doing. I didn't do a weekly weigh in because they do a monthly one at curves so I hope I remember to weight in each week.

I was born in Manitoba and moved to Regina when I was 8. Have been here ever since. winters are nothing when here that long. When it gets really cold (-30 c) we just make sure we dress up properly. |

the abs are my main target also. I started cc back in February. I work out at curves 3 to 4 times a week and I do ab work outs at home. I find the best time for me is between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. If I do them any later then I have a hard time sleeping. I tried working out first thing in the morning, and that didn't work. I just didn't have the energy for it. I am not sure how, but I have managed to get rid of a lot of tummy fat. To be honest, I looked like I was 9 months pregnant when I started. I started with size 18 jeans. I am now down to a size 14. I have pictures in my gallery from when I started and 2 months later ( February and April). I am going to post new pics soon. Keep trying and keep motivated. I find what kept me motivated was taking a before picture and then the next one 2 months later. I has been two months again so I need to take new pictures. |

Sorry it's been a while, things are starting to settle down, softball for both my girls are finally winding down. I have updated the weight chart. I haven't weighed myself for about a month. According to my curves weigh in and measure I have lost another 4 lbs and lost 2 inches off my abs and 1 inch off my hips in the past month. I was so excited to hear that. I have really noticed a difference in my clothing. I started with wearing size 18 jeans. I bought a new pair last week and they are a 14. whoo hoo. I am so happy. My husband is really impressed with the improvements. I am going to do another update for my progress pictures very soon. Now that I am done my class and ball is winding down I hope I will be able to post once a week again. I am glad to hear that everyone else is doing good.

weight chart is updated. I have a question. How do you keep on a healthy diet with such a busy life style. With both my girls playing softball, the youngest in Sparks, Curves 3 to 4 times a week and now preparing our yard for our new play structure (Home daycare), I am finding that I am slipping back into my old eating habits. I don't have time to make a good meal so we are eating quick fast meals that are not the greatest. I don't like making supper when the daycare children are here because then they all want to eat before they go home.

I am surprised that I lost this week. It has been a very stressful two weeks. I am running my a** off for my two girls. Between both playing softball and one in Sparks, it's crazy. I am really feeling it. I have felt tired all week. I can't get out of bed in the mornings and I am the type of person that as soon as the sun comes up, I am awake and out of bed.

Starting Weight: 221(Feb 4) total lost this week -1.4 lb total lost: 9.6 lb I am so shocked that I lost this week. It has been an emotional week. Talk about the ups and downs of your child being a teenager. They are so different now a days compared to when I was a teenager. We have been dealing with her behavior issues and it has been stressful on all of us. I pray every night that it will get better. As the week goes on I feel like I am slipping back into depression. I know I don't want to go there again. |

All I have been doing is going to curves 4-6 times a week. The days that I can't make it to curves, I do my dvd's. I have been eating more fruit and green veggies. Drinking tomato juice and cutting out the red meats, eating fish and chicken. I also have a home daycare so running after the children and joining in their activities has helped. When I am at curves, I push myself as hard as I can, I drink as much water as I sweat out. I also drink lots of water, cut down on the coffee. I have had this extra chub for the past 15 years so If I can do it, you all can do it to. |

I can relate also. I was approached by another church member. She came up to me and said " I just have to ask, are you pregnant?". I thought oh my god. But now that I look at my starting pictures and my updated pictures, I think to my self, no wonder people were asking me that, I looked like I was about 9 months pregnant. |

Thank you everyone, like I said, I didn't really notice a difference. The reason for the updated pictures was because my husband took me out shopping for my birthday and I was able to get clothing in large and XL instead of 2XL or 3XL. I have kept a log of all my weight loss and inches lost. I have lost a total (arms, legs, hips, tummy, waist and chest) of 20 inches. and I have lost only a total of 10 lbs. |
