Hello everyone! I was out of town most of yesterday, so wasn't able to post. Starting weight: 265.5 Weight last week: 262 Weight this week: 260 This week I am glad I lost anything at all because I wasn't counting calories as diligently, and some of my food choices weren't the best, but I was exercising, so that probably saved me. This week I will be back on track. |

Hello! I am 34 and apparently the only one here without kids. My husband and I are trying to adopt a child from China, and I have to get my weight down to qualify. I have been on here for a week, and I've lost 2-1/2 lbs, so I was happy with that. Feel free to add me to your buddy lists! |

| Yes, we did go to a fertility clinic. Unfortunately, we both have issues. I'm just praying that we have a miracle baby someday. | |||

Hello everyone! My name is Carmen and I just found this site a few days ago. Starting weight 264. I will add the rest of the categories next week. I have been trying to lose weight for a long time, and sometimes I succeeded, but then I would stop whatever it was I was doing and would gain it all back. This time I am motivated to keep going until I reach my goal weight. I think all the support on this site will help me as well. I'm looking forward to "meeting" you all and hopefully we can help each other through this difficult process! |

I just added a recipe for leek and potato soup that has no meat in it. I will add the recipe below. It is really easy and good. If you are looking to reduce calories, you could exchange the Half and Half with skim, 1%, or 2% milk. Ingredients 3 large or 5 to 6 small leeks 2 T. butter 6 large potatoes 48 oz. chicken broth with enough water to make 2 quarts 1 pint Half and Half Salt and pepper to taste 1 T. parsley (fresh or dried) Directions Wash leeks and discard green tops and bulb(at bottom). Cut in thin slices. Rinse again and separate into rings. Cook leeks in the butter until soft. Add potatoes and broth. Cook for 40 minutes or until potatoes are soft. Add Half and Half, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle parsley on top and serve. It really is good. |
