Hi there, Count me in. This will be my first on-line experience with weight loss. Just found the calorie counter on About.com and I was thrilled that there was some place to track calories (as I've realized that less is more, and the only way to weight loss) and makes it so EASY. <> My goal is to lose, once again, the same 20 pounds I've been struggling with all my life. Keeping it off once and for all would be the ultimate goal, in the end. <> I'm 42 years old with a 9 and 4 year old and have definitely noticed the increasing my body has to dropping weight again; age, yo-yo dieting, and poor choices, sometimes, as everything to do with it. I work-out 4-5x/wk and am fond of saying, that for all the running, swimming, stair climbing, and weight lifting I should be lighter; yeah, I know, I know...muscle weighs more than fat. <> Last year I did the Atkins thing and lost 20 but promptly gained it back. I definitely need more protein but as a way of life, not a diet. I've really worked on my addiction to weighing myself, incessantly, and not giving myself a hard time for being heavier than I like to be; trying to grant personal permission for being human, eh? I am 180 lbs and would like to be 160 lbs. by May 12th. That works out to be 1.5 lbs/wk. @ 15 weeks. How does this work from here?
