Hello everyone!

pinkcobra - i will keep the faith!  =)

dalmalama - I too hate having my picture taken. I end up staring at my picture. Looking at all the flaws. How big I am? How small  they are?

watchmeshine82 - I feel you. Having PCOS can  really be a bummer. This week...I wanted to give too. =( But life goes on. We cannot give up on ourselves. So we must continue to fight! Congrats on the 3lbs. Don't lose hope. You give me inspiration. I see how lazy I am when I read your posts. I know I can do better. Thank you for always sharing your thoughts.

~My weekend was errr. Bad! I spent it with my boyfriend and we slept. Ate. Spelt. Watch TV. Tsk. Tsk. He too needs to lose weight. But he loves eating and yeah, he really does not control his cravings. So when I am with him I end up eating, too. Horrible. But I love being with him. Eating with him. Weekends... =(

Niltzsch - Welcome! =)

chelsealoney - Thank you for the info! I am sooo looking forward to the move. I will definitely make time to go around and see everything. I might just keep on walking - it might help with losing some weight. =)

pinkcobra - Thank you for the support. =) Yes, we should always remember that we ourselves are our first priority. I sometimes forget. I feel low. I feel sad. Then I eat. I forget to love myself. I end up loving food more.

watchmeshine82 - OH YES! It is sooo hard to lose weight with having PCOS. I can eat like 1200 calories and be working out like crazy. But my weight won't go down. I would even change my routine at the gym but still no change. That's why I lose motivation to exercise. But we have to go on. So I try to take it a day at a time... =)

weight loss pace - wow 3-4 pounds a week. That's great at the beginning. I would worry about sagging skin too. But I think...there is no way around it...i think when I lose all the weight i want..i will have some sagging skin. =(

clothes - before when I lost some weight - I re-tailored my clothes. But what dalmalama said - my pants are starting to fray around the thigh area...so I would end up throwing my old clothes away.

ALLI - I have not tried it. But I tried Xenical way back. It was uncomfortable because I had to wear a pad all the time as the oil would (sorry if this is gross) just come out. =(

Getting off track - its ok. We will do better on our next meal. That's what I always tell myself. And I really  try hard to be good on my next meal. =)
dalmalama - I think the same way. I don't buy more clothes until I am at least 2 sizes down. Saves money and closet space. And you will eventually fit in those jeans. We all will. =)

jpetty - 1lb is 1lb like watchmeshine82 said. We can do it. =)

chelsealoney - I will be moving to Downtown, Vancouver. I will be staying with my sister. I  am always on the internet during the week so it is easy for me to log what I eat but during the weekend I get really lazy to open the computer.

pinkcobra - really metformin is helping??? Thank you for saying that...it has given me hope. =)

bootser1 - hi! welcome. =)  and Happy Birthday!!!!

Karate-chick - WOW! Thats wonderful! =)

msjez135 - congrats on the 9 pounds. =)

mhartwig3 - great to have you here.

Hello everyone!

Argh. I did not log my food during the weekend. tsk tsk! And I still have not gone to gym since my last post (last week). eeeek...life! Busy with packing our stuff. I live with my mom and I will be migrating to Canada this April. So I need to pack my mom's things and move her to my brother's house as she is 73 years old. Still very strong but we just rent a condo and since I am leaving it's better she gets to stay with someone...just in case of emergencies. Also, she won't have to pay rent. So while helping my mom pack...I am packing myself. Very difficult knowing I wont be coming back for a long time. So will all that...I rather sleep and eat than go to gym. Sooo bad. =(

pinkcobra - thank you for the support. yes, we must not beat ourselves up if fall sometimes....but  I have been bad...no gym....zzzz...

ennazus520 (Suzanne) - I feel for you. That sucks! =( I am sorry you can't go on vacation.

watchmeshine: congrats! Yippeee! And yes, we are beautiful! =) I also have my eyebrows and my light moustache threaded as I have PCO...so I am bit hairy. And I feel better after doing that. We most love ourselves no matter what.

wellman25: Hi. =) Welcome. =)

Hi everyone.

This is my 2nd post. I really love this thread. Everyone is very nice and people here do support each other. That's fantastic.

I have been tired lately. I know I lack sleep but there is so much things to do. Now what I hate is that I crave carbohydrates like crazy this time. And in my head its like I give myself permission to eat because I lack sleep. Sounds weird?

Ohhhh...its so frustrating to convince your mind. It may sound stupid. But I am going through this mental debate with myself.

And I have not been to the gym this whole week. I rather sleep. Argh! What is wrong with me? I want to lose weight! I have to lose weight. It is frustrating. =(

Any ideas how I can get through this?

I am such an emotional eater and having PCO is no helping. I know I have to be on a low-carbo diet. But I love carbo and my cravings are crazy. =(

Weight Loss Fell off the wagon, off the path, down the mountain............ Feb 07 2008

Its horrible when we feel this way. I feel  that way once a month.  Usually when I am about to get my period.

I can't stop eating. Once I start eating anything sweet. That's it! I will crave and eat everything in sight! Horrible. Stupid, yes!

I feel like crap after. I want to cut of my hands so I won't put more food in my mouth. Hilarious! Dumb!

But I guess sometimes it happens we slip. We fall. We just get back up. Get on the wagon. Do something about. Try to stop. Drink a ot of fluids. Really control ourselves. Exercise.

I still fall down once in awhile. But I try not to beat myself up too much. It would be terrible to pick on ourselves. We must love ourselves. =)

We can do it. =)

Hi I am Blanca. I just been diagnosed with PCOS. Well it kinda makes me feel better that it was not 'all' my fault that I got this heavy. Whew! But of course I know it also has a lot to do with discipline. The doc advised me to eat very minimal carbohydrates and eliminate sugar. I can use splenda and only splenda. I am not sure how much I will lose with minimal carbohydrates. Also, I am on Yasmin (BC Pill) and the doc put me on Metformin. The problem I have with Metformin is that it makes me go to the bathroom. Is there a way to stop it? Or since I am just new to Metformin my body needs to get used to it before the side effect stops? Any info would be helpful.

My symptoms for PCOS:

  • irregular menstrual cycle - I would get my period like 3 times a year
  • a bit hairy
  • they checked my blood sugar (FBS test) - a bit on the high range
  • they did an transV ultrasound - and saw i have some follicles on my ovaries
  • and i am overweight - I was thin when I was a kid/teen but once I got my period I was getting fatter by the year. It was horrible.

Hi everyone. I am Blanca. I am 232lbs and I use to be 270lbs.  I would like to lose 100 pounds too. I am 5'4. Asian and middle built.

I would love to work with Suzanne. I really need motivation. There are times I want to  give up. Like it will never happen - me being healthy -sexy. Sometimes I block out everything and also, what I eat so I end up eating more and more.

I try to go to the gym 3 times a week. I want and should go 5 to 6 times a week. But I get lazy. I rather sleep.

But this week been to th gym twice. I notice I have mor energy despite my muscles are aching.

I am glad I join CC today.

Hi. I also have PCOS. My doc put me on Metformin. The side effect it has on me is that I go to the bathroom - pronto. I just wondered if this side effect ever goes away or am I stuck with it for life? =(
