It was Campbell's Select Harvest light Italian-Style vegetable. I even copy/pasted it (again) from the foods list here, including the amount/measurment a 38oz, but no luck!

I'm trying to analyze a recipe that used 2 cans of soup...details here not important. However I could not find a way to add them so that the rcipe analyzer would recognize it. I even copy/pasted the item from the food search and entered amounts as cans, and as oz...any ideas!!!???

Hey Naturally, haven't posted in a while. Embarrassed to say that I've not only fallen completely off the wagon, but I haven't even been keeping track of where the wagon is. I'm back up to 179.4!Cry The whole reason I joined this thread was to gravitate to some folks with the same goals and difficulties as me (and you all have been wonderful!) but I can't seem to stay focused for more that a week or two at a time. My kids are back in school so you think that would give me more time to work out and such, but alas it is not to be. As the PTO pres. I've got more on  my plate than I ever imagined, and less time to do it in. I feel completely exhausted all the time. I know exercise would help all that, but I don't have the energy to get there.

OK so woe is poor poor me! Thanks for letting me vent and I'll try to catch that darned wagon!

you just stick to yer guns there naturallyd. You CAN have your cake and eat it too as it were. It's not what we do once in a while, it's what we do each day that sets the standard...and as far as I'm concerned, birthdays are for celebrating for at least a week!!!Laughing

don't let it get you down mcjenny, I've been struggling with "baby weight" for 4 1/2 years now and I can't seem to break that almighty plateau, but I figure with all the great support that I find in here....I'm not giving up until I'm a healthier weight and I've made some permanent positive changes.

hang in there.

Hey Val...I feel ya! And you were right, TOM was right on time....(little bugger) and I can now say that I can record a loss from last week.

weight 176.8 (Down 1.6)

B 42 1/4 (down 1")

W 39 1/2 (up 1/2")

H 45 1/4 (down 1 3/4")

Now...that's not a real weight loss from where I started 2 weeks ago, but I didn't exercise really at all this week (TOM really kicked my butt!), but I'm back on track starting tomorrow and I've got to say I really appreciate all of the support here...(could I say really any more????really!)

congrats for the losses...keep your eyes on the prize to those who's check in wasn't what you were hoping for.

I have had scale problems in the past..sometimes it even depends on where it sit on the floor (soft spots?) any way...I have weighed myself 2-3 times and taken an average if I find that I'm having real scale trouble. I currently have a new scale, and as long as I stand fairly evenly on the weighing surface, it appears pretty consistent.

well I'll tell ya kilijo..I'm in a similar boat to you...no hypertension, but I do have high cholesterol. My health is a big motivator for me, for me and for my kids...I want to help my DD pick a wedding dress someday. Food wise, looking at things from a nutrition stand point and again focusing on health helps me  a lot (except for today of course)Wink hang in there...this is a pretty good support group.

Thanks for the support ladies. and I was thinking TOM may well be on "his" way...I wish that bugger made his visits a little less intrusive!! LOL

Thanks for the "chin up" Bella. I'm trying very hard not to be too much of a whiner, truly I am (too late?) I do most of the things that you have suggested already . And I really enjoy fruits and vegetables...veggies more than fruit. I don't really during enough fluids though. My discouragement is in the time frame though...I didn't expect to loose 15, 10, or even 5 lbs...but I was hoping for a lb or two in the last 2-3 weeksCry Thanks again for the support though...it really does help, and I didn't jump into that sundae (just yetWink).

OK...so what the MOO!!! ( Absolutely no pun intended.) I would like to know why when I have been counting calories faithfully (1350-1500. About 80% of the time close or right on the 1350 mark), and watching the fat intake (always less than 30%), and walking at least 4 days a week has ended up gaining me weight and numbers!!!

178.4 (Yikes!)

B 43 1/2  (up from 42)

W 39 (well at least that's down 1/2")

H 47!! ( up from 45)

Seriously? I know I had a bad weekend, but I've been genuinely committed to calorie counting and  exercise, for a solid 3 weeks, and this is what I get to show for it? I'm about to dive into a huge ice cream sundae if the results are going to be the same!Yell Seriously! Can anyone save me from a nose dive off of the wagon!?

I was 123 (although not recently) and I hated it! I did feel boney and tired and unhealthy. I think somewhere between 130 and 140 for a 5' 6-7" person is about right. In my opinion, a size 8 is just about perfect. When I was in my smaller phase (many moons ago) I felt great at an 8. not too skinny but slim enough to turn heads. Lets not loose sight of the healthy figure ladies.....

Welcome to you mate!

I feel for you both Tink and Bella...I've had grandma troubles  too both in the past and ongoing. You will feel better soon no matter what happens Bella and Tink...time heals all wounds. sounds trite I know, but it will be ok.

Just a quick log on. shouldn't have weighed myself, but I did...DD had her 8th birthday and we partied for 3 days, cake, ice cream, chips, burgers....soooo good! I didn't exercise either, 178 yesterdayCry, but I'm back on the wagon...walked for an hour today and plan to keep it up again (weather permitting) Logging calories and activities and all is well again today..we'll see what the Friday weigh in bringsUndecided

Good morning all! I got a new scale this week and it weighs heavier than the old one..(old one really sucked, but it was kind with the numbers). Weigh in this morning...176 not bad considering the old scale read 175 (it was 5 or so lbs off)

measurements....

B: 42"

W: 40"

H: 45"

thighs: 25"

OK so there's work to be done but we're together in this right?

I can sympathise with not wanting to eat your lunch at your desk...however here is something I used to do and it helped me burn off nearly 40 lbs...I would walks for 20 mins at lunch (I was blessed to be able to walk in a neighborhood setting but if that's not available to you the mall could work) then I would go and eat the lunch at my desk (in about 10 min) but it was a light lunch also, I could sort of eat and work at the same time to an extent. a sandwich from home is good, also, and you can make a couple of these ahead and keep in the fridge, "bake a couple of potatoes in the microwave...pierce them and nuke for about 5 min, than put into a covered bowl for about 15 min. Cut in half and break up the inside (1/2 of a potato per srv) drizzle in a little skim milk for moisture, add some frozen veggies...peas, broccoli, spinach... a tbs of cheese and maybe a little dices ham or turkey...from the deli...S&P. put it in a plastic container and nuke it at work...tasty EASY! and nutritious...as for fast food a six inch subway isn't too bad if you avoid the cheeses, mayos and other heavy fat toppings....LOTS of veggies! These types of things were my lunches and the walks did wonders...I hope this was helpful

OK so I know it's late in the day but I need all the help I can get...I've been working (not too dilligently) at this since last November and las I checked it was only a 7 lb loss :( . But maybe you guys can bouy me up. Today I weiged in at 172...but that's about 5lbs higher than the doctor's scale...but I'll have to take that number because it's the scale I use at home...also, it makes for a happier weigh in at the doc's office:). I don't have measurements today, but I'll try to get them in next time. Looking forward to getting to know you all and to reaching our goals together.

I've been doing serious food monitoring for only about 4 days now and I too am struggleing to fit in my calorie requirements. I feel like I'm eating more now...but then why am I so overweight, and does this mean I'm going to gain rather than loose?
