My baby is almost 9 months and I've been doing CC for about a month now and have lost about 6 pounds. I'm eating 1950 calories a day and it seems like I'm eating all the time! Breastfeeding, since I've been watching what I eat, has been contributing to me losing weight. I wouldn't advice cutting much more calories from your diet. It can contribute to changing the fat content of your milk which I've found makes my baby less "satisfied" and she doesn't sleep as well. What I'm working on is eating "better" calories. My other advice is to get active, no matter what you do. Even walking with the baby for 10-15 minutes a day has helped. It also helped to put the baby in some kind of baby carrier and do light housework. Every bit helps (at least that's what I've found). |

Hi! I just joined this site about 7 days ago. I'm eating 1950 calories a day just to make sure my milk supply is not failing. From my experience, my baby (who is 8 months old) gets fussy and has trouble sleeping at night when I cut down my calories too much or cut out good fat. So, I've been trying to get "good" calories and "good" fat in my diet -- like pecans and walnuts.
Good luck!
