| Health & Support | Really nervous. No period. Helpppp. | Nov 03 2009 03:05 (UTC) |

Went to the doctor... she said that it's probably my pill. Apparently the one I'm on stops your period after about half a year. I'm glad my old doctor told me that when she started me on it... Anyway, thanks for the responses! Much less freaked now. |

I used to get ear infections literally every time I had a stuffy nose and beyond-- I had tubes twice because of it! My issue with nasal spray is that when I squirt something up my nose and it drips down my throat, I get really nauseous, sometimes to the point where it actually makes me throw up. I'm going to to try the neti pot, though, because my doctor said that it isn't like the spray at all. Boo, it's blizzarding outside so no walk today. Thanks for your helpp! |

facebook was so much better before they sold out and started letting anyone have one. now that sketchballs and potential employers can get on and pretend to be anyone, facebook has gone so downhill. not to mention the applications, stalker news feed, and gross new layout. |

okay this is totally off topic, but your post reminded me of a story. a few years ago, one of my roommates came up to me with a bowl of oatmeal and asked me to try it because she thought it tasted weird, and it did-- like alcohol. well, i turns out that the water bottle she used to make it was actually filled with vodka. whoooops.

also, height, of course, plays a huge factor. if you are tall, 200 pounds will look slimmer than if you are short. |

no offense but it could be denial of your true size. there are plenty of people wearing the wrong sized clothing. (hence the muffin top being so common) |

i usually notice the same thing with hard alcohol. weird thing is, i know it's not dehydration because i'm always double fisting with a glass of water and have a bf who always makes me drink a liter of water after i drink and before i go to bed. sometimes the weight actually stays off for me :D |

thanks for all of your suggestions :) i'm pretty terrible at keeping a fully stocked kitchen, so i don't have most of what you guys suggested, but i did have a piece of dry toast and some egg whites, which are the blandest foods i could find. i also drank about 3 bottles of water. you guys were right, i was really dehydrated and once i started drinking i couldn't stop! i'm definitely not making it to class today, but i am starting to feel a lot better. thanks again! |

i just got the voyager and i love it. unlike the glyde, the touchpad is really sensitive and easy to use and the keyboard is nice and big. my only real complaint is that i wish it got louder. the glyde is cute, but i found the touchpad to be terrible. it might have just been the phone i was playing around with, but it's very insensitive. also, i kept missing keys and bumping the edge of the screen when i used the keypad. the verizon guy also told me that the voyager was far superior between the two. the env2 is really ugly, idk :/ |

i ended up taking it and getting sick halfway through. the lights and noise and actually taking the test was just too much for me :( i did finish, though, and hopefully I did okay. I don't even really remember what was on it right now, much less what I wrote. thanks for all of the suggestions. |

you can get eyelash extensions, is that what you mean? otherwise, mascaras and products that promise longer looking lashes have been on the market forever. as someone born with very long lashes, i can promise you that they're not as awesome to actually have as you may think. think crushing them against your sunglasses every time you blink :/ |

i've always been a reaaaally slow eater (but a really fast drinker... i can go through a liter of water in about 3 minutes) and one way it's caused me to eat less is that at restaurants, everyone is already long done by the time i'm 1/3 of the way through my meal. haha, and at that point, no one wants to wait for me to finish so i'm forced to eat less! |

Original Post by wsamemoon: i've never seen them, but there were a few isolated cases in one of the building i lived in. the memo they sent out said that they're these flat, light brown bugs that are visible if you're looking for them. they're awful and terrible and apparently horrible to get rid of and a growing problem; a place doesn't have to be dirty to have them. never get a used bed (one that you find outside, get on craigslist, etc) because once you have bedbugs, you're screwed. and like i said, if you put your luggage on an infested bed, they'll come home with you. |

never put your bags on the beds. easiest way to pick up hitchhiking bed bugs. |

i'm going to go against the grain and say that i somewhat agree with this statement for myself. at my size, i gain on 2000/day, but i always took the "based on a 2000 calorie/day diet" on nutrition labels to mean that that was what i should eat. i didn't count, but it was always in the back of my mind that as long as i ate under 2000, i would be okay. i do think, though, that 2000/2500 are good general recommendations. it would be too difficult to individualize recommendations, but most normal sized people would be able to maintain on those numbers. that is, though, if they paid attention and had any sort of idea of what they're eating. |

| Weight Loss | Intakte Question | Aug 11 2008 20:26 (UTC) |

no, my doctor arrived at this number by having me breathe into a machine. i actually had my metabolism tested. 1661 seems extremely high for me to eat when my nutritionist told me not to eat more than 1300/day to lose weight. i don't think that 1510 is my bmr, based on what other people have said and on how it correlates to the numbers that cc gave me (which is my daily burn at lightly active being around 1600). there is no way that i am burning over 2000 pounds/day at my height, weight and activity level. thank you for taking the time to comment, though. and if i am reading what you said wrong, please let me know. |

my puppy is going to be 15 in a month! he's aged so well though; most people who don't know how old he is peg him at around 1 year. he's just not as fast as he used to be and can no longer endure really long walks (but he's a tiny six pounder, so long walks are triply long for him anyway). my dad also thinks he's going deaf, but i just think he has selective hearing. |

omg when i was like 8, i was making rice crispy treats with m&m's (yummm) and i dropped half an m&m on the floor and my puppy pounced on it before i could do anything! i was so terrified for him because the way it had been described to me, chocolate=INSTANT DEATH. but he's celebrating his fifteenth birthday next month, so it was okay :) just avoid letting them have it if possible. |
