I think moderately active is correct. If you haven't lost, I'd trying upping your cals for a week or two. You might be burning more than you think. |

| Weight Loss | How big of a deficit is too big? | Jun 06 2008 02:25 (UTC) |

The maximum is 1000. I think you'll go into starvation mode if any bigger. And I think people who are really obese can allow a slightly bigger deficit. |

I've never had natural PB before, but I do know that people switch over to the natural stuff not because of taste, but because of the hydrogenated oils in the regular. Regular PB has trans fats which is the worst fat for health. Some people may say that trans fats will make you gain even when you try to lose weight. =/ (I'm not sure if that's true or not). Go and make the switch! I bet it IS more delicious. |

If the label says something like this:
That means it makes 15 cups popped.
That's for the orville redenbacher popcorn though. So your popcorn might have more or less calories. |

12 pounds in 9 days? That doesn't sound very healthy. Unless it was mostly water weight. I don't know much about excess skin, but there are a lot of threads about that subject. You can lurk around and probably find 5 on one page. :P lol, jk. |

| Foods | Question!! please read. | Jun 02 2008 07:08 (UTC) |

No. It's a new day. Your body still needs atleast 1200 just to operate it's organs. It's not like your heart is going to beat any less.
1400 is NOT over eating. You STILL have a deficit and will lose weight. It takes 3500 calories over your maitanence (which should be around 1700-2000+ for a woman I think) to gain one pound. |

You could BUT most people feel more energized after a light workout. So you might have trouble falling asleep afters. It's recommended that you don't exercise 3 hours before sleep.
(that's what my doctor said after I told him about my insomnia).

Yes, you might be in starvation mode. Or it could be like...I don't know how to put this into words...but you know how you eat a big feast like at Thanksgiving and then you get sleepy right afterwards? Big meals tend to make everyone tired. |

It's actually 20 calories per cup. I remember a long time ago I misread the label and I'd eat 2 whole bags of popcorn a day. xD |

espizh It's ok for the protein to be above 15%. In fact most people on this site aim for 50 carbs/ 25 fat/ 25 protein or 40/30/30. The RDA of sodium is 2,400 mg and the RDA for refined sugar is 30g. Sugars from vegetables and fruits are excluded. :) |

| Weight Loss | Okay, so now what?!?! | Apr 26 2008 16:23 (UTC) |

Hi, I'm a recovering anorexic. And hopefully I will answer your questions as correctly as possible. But please remember, EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT. So what will happen for some, might not happen to you. I'd say slowly add on the calories till you reach 1400. Add 100 calories every week. If you have trouble 'eating that much', then try just adding 1 tbsp of peanut butter or use low-fat instead of fat free. If I didn't answer your questions, then why not lurk in the Weight Gain and Health&Support forums on this site? Some of the people there are in similar situations. Also, you should talk to your doctor. He/She will know what to recommend and you can trust them. But most importantly: Don't pick being skinny over being healthy |

Congrats on your bra-filling too! I think a lot of us needed someone to finally brag about that so it would encourage us further. Teehee. |

Oatmeal (you can cook it in the microwave. Try not to buy the packaged/flavored ones like "Quakers Maple and Brown Sugar" those have a lot of sugar. But if you like your oatmeal sweet, go for it!) Someone mentioned frozen vegetables, but why not also canned vegetables? (Aim for no added sodium) Why just apples? There's lots of fruit you can choose from! Whole grain: bread, tortillas, wraps, english muffins, bagels, crackers!, cereal. |

That does sound a little low. But I guess it depends on the brand and size of the wheat wrap. But if it was medium - large I'd say the wrap itself would be above 150 calories. Have you tried looking at their nutritional info on their website? |
