I'm finding it hard to eat healthy with my family around. :( I eat wonderfully until it comes to sweets. Fast food/snack foods/decandent meals don't bother me at all to try and resisist... it's almost always the sugar.
Weekly Goal: 500 cal deficit a day. Excercise every single day at least a little bit. |

It's okay, just keep doing what you're doing. When I was most motivated a year ago, counting 1200 every day I was losing pretty regularly and got stuck at 178 (from 195) for about 2 and half weeks. I know how you feel, I felt like such a failure, it was very frustrating. I just kept telling myself that calories are science and I kept with it. And sure enough... after 2 weeks of waking up to 178 I woke up to 175 and some change. It's my understanding if you've been steadily in a deficit your body will take it's own initiative and stall weight loss in case something is wrong with the rest of you (a disease, famine, etc). Just keep doing what you're doing, it'll drop sooner or later. I been there. If it gives you any encouragement at all I started at 195 and I'm at 146 now... so close to 50! Don't let that little plateau get you down, just keep on keepin on!! |

Well other than eating all my food groups and walking to campus today I didn't do too much. I ate really good, though! I'm gonna try my darndest to get that 4 hours end before next thurs... I've got about 45 mins of it done haha. and floydh77, I'm with you on the sweets front. My sweet tooth is so mean sometimes it could scare attila the hun. Tomorrow I will: eat no more than one designated "treat" item and get 45 mins either running or on the tony little glider. Good luck guys, don't give up! I'm weighing in the morning! 5 days successful, only 26 more left this year! |

We're up to 4/10 of our group on here, we're kicking butt! I feel you, Sam. I love watching those .2 deductions in weight! Keep up the awesome work as well. You're keeping me motivated. and vandijb, I'm all for a weekly challenge, just say the word! As for me today, you guys actually kept me to my word. After reading what ya'll were gonna do I felt obligated to keep my word and took a good run around the block in the 50 degree weather! That's cold for San Antonio. I also resisted going back for 2nd fudgecicle. I try to keep my calories between 1200-1600 everyday and I'm ending today at 1345, a pretty darn good day, I'd say! It's only Dec. 4th and I'm already enjoying this challenge! How're you guys? |

| Weight Loss | Going to bed hungry-Does anyone else find... | Sep 26 2008 06:36 (UTC) |

I go to bed hungry almost every night. :( It's kinda hard and really annoying. If I have a "on-track" day I finish my calories by 630pm or so and just cut myself off the rest of the day. If I eat after I've had my allotment I tend to binge so I just deal with the hunger. But, yeah, I feel ya. I keep telling myself to think of the new low number I might see in the morning. |

I've had my digital sunbeam for about a year and it's done me pretty good. I've heard of other people's digital scales fluctuating to the point of frustration and mine always give me a solid number. Good luck, regardless! take care! |

I FINALLY BOUGHT A SHIRT DRESS!-- :] It sounds funny but I've always wanted a shirt dress, they look so elegant (sigh) but unfortch don't hide much. Well I went into a store yesterday, saw one, no hurt in trying it on, and it looked wonderful! I'd been telling myself I would be able to pull it off in 20 more pounds (down 36 as of right now) but nope! It's all mine!!
That, and the coy smiles from guys on campus becoming a little more common. ;) Oh! And I actually want to go to the gym now!! Who is this person!? Haha, good health feels good. |

| Weight Loss | If you could offer ONE piece of advice you've learned the hard way to someone, what would it be? | Apr 20 2008 08:17 (UTC) |

Original Post by white_sakura: Well, unless you're going to get a refridgerated courrier to in fact send that food to Africa, that food is already wasted. So the big question is is the excess food going down the disposal or on your butt?
My advice- eat when you're hungry. there's no since "saving" calories if you're going to binge later. It's better to eat reasonably all day and if you happen to run out calories... run around the block to make up for it. :) |

Lots of the people on CC suggest taking a day or two off and eat a little more to kick-start your metabolism. Kind of to reassure your body it's not starving. Other than that, idk. But congrats on the loss so far! |

| Weight Loss | Green line | Apr 01 2008 01:44 (UTC) |

The green line is pretty much an indicator of your weight, taking in daily fluctuations. Because your weight can go up or down a few pounds daily depending on whether you're dehydrated, retaining water, or have just eaten the green line is giving you a more likely indicator of what your true weight is. It's taking your previous weight entries with current ones to ease out the jumping of the scale. |

Molly I think you and I were cosmically connected this morning. I went up 1.5 this morning as well and needless to say after a great week last week it was absolutely disheartening that mr. stubborn in the corner of my bathroom refused to play nice.
Btw, I loved your rant, it was hilarious. |

| Health & Support | period troubles.. | Feb 24 2008 02:38 (UTC) |

It's definately possible that it's the change in your eating habits. I know i've lost almost 30 pounds and as I was losing the first 30 mine went from a very regular 28 day cycle to a complicated 23 day cycle. Now it's coming even earlier and I think it's because I've been cutting back a little too much lately. Have you been sticking to your calorie intake? I think trying to keep it to a regular number has a lot to do with it. But you're not alone at least irregular periods are a common side effect of dieting. Try getting back into your regular habits and see if it doesn't return to normal. |
