Last Week 136 :( This Week 133.5 :) Loss of 2.5 I am getting dizzy from all the ups and downs over here, but I'll take the loss. I just need to keep my focus this week. I tend to cut myself some slack after a big week and not count. I am going grocery shopping after work, so I should have tons of healthy options again. Happy belated Birthday Cordie! Congrats to all on their losses - especially Oakmommy for hitting goal! Glad to see you back and making that tough first weigh in post, Rob. You should have a big loss next week. |

Sigh... Last week 134.5 This week 136 Up 1.5... This is only 1/2 pound lower than when I started!!! The good news is puppy and I went on a one hour walk yesterday morning - in the cold, and wind, and snow. And....ta dah...we're okay! My fingers didn't freeze and my nose didn't fall off! LOL - I am definitely a fair weather exerciser. But let's not forget that I have a gym membership...argh. You're right leanne, no exuses! I will start reading my "New Rules" weight lifting book tonight and get my hiney in there! |

Awesome pics oakmommy! I really need to still do this. It makes me sad when I think I didn't take any "before" pics and measurements. It would be so motivating! Not so much that I want to gain it all back and start over...but it sure would have been nice... |

Last week 133.5 This week 137.0 Gain: *%&%$ I am bloated, cranky and all together, just bitchy. I have never once used this excuse for weight gain and I'm not using it now. It's just....COME ON. Okay, I'm over it. If I'm really honest here, I didn't do that well the last couple days with eating. And, I only went to the gym once, but did tons around the house for this remodel that will probably be over when I turn 100...sigh... Jett - we will miss you, girl. Please check in occasionally and let us know how you are doing. Cordie - I hear you. I have been letting my journal posting and reading slide lately. I am much better focused when I use every aspect of this site and it showed with my loss last week. Thanks for the reminder! oakmommy - your first gain??? That's amazing. No worries, okay? Diva - you are awesome! It is a lot of food to eat more and still keep it healthy. Everyone else, way to go on those losses. And if you're on the plus side today like me, shake it off. It's all good. Let's not beat ourselves up and just get back on track right now!

Last Week :137.5 - I know, I reported 136.5 because I was claiming sunspots or some type of alien intervention, but since I have a loss I can post the real number now ROFL This Week: 133.5 Loss: 4 POUNDS!!! So, trend line is my friend again. It says 134.5, but it's moving in the downward direction again, so that's a good thing. I am really focused to have a good week. The gym bag is packed and in the car. I plan on running and then weights - woo hoo! Oh, BTW, if anyone knows Mother Nature, tell her to keep her flippin snow flurries! I am so not ready for the cold... |

Way to go Oakmommy! Woop! Glad to hear from you Leanne. Sounds like your trip is going well. I will look for an update in your journal. saarap - your trip sounds great! Where do you live (sorry, you have probably posted, but it escapes me at the moment LOL)? Okay, I have a question. I'm trying not to freak out about this, but I have lost 5 pounds since Monday. Part of me is doing this big happy dance, because I haven't seen 132 since mid October. The bigger part of me is saying hold on there, Missy, you'd better go eat a Snickers bar or something, that's way too fast. I am worried a big disappointment is going to come out of this, and I barely made it through the last 3 weeks of plateaus. Any thoughts, or advice? |

I guess I never answered the Halloween questions - sorry! I had no problem with it whatsoever. I didn't buy candy because I live out in the boonies and get no trick or treaters. My son is 15 - and too old for that don't you know LOL. So I guess I lucked out. Thanksgiving is quite another story. My mom makes these wonderful homemade pies - pecan and pumpkin. And the sweet potato casserole is to die for! So anyway, here's the plan: My bf and I are making a turkey this weekend. It's a huge 15 pounder and I had to get it out of the freezer. So we are going to split up all the leftovers into small bags and use our new handy food sealer thingy. Then I will freeze and have lots of meal options handy for future weeks! Turkey sandwiches, turkey salad, turkey enchiladas, I will get creative. Then for Turkey day I should be able to turn down all take-home leftovers. I also have a Turkey Trot 5k in the works for Thanksgiving morning, so I will just enjoy my day in moderation. |

My post never posted :( Okay, Starting weight: 142 Ending Weight: 136.5 Total loss for challenge 5.5 pounds (4%)! Not anywhere close to my goal, but I have learned alot about myself over the last 12 weeks and I know I have made changes that will stick. I know I would have given up weeks ago if it wasn't for all of you. Thank you so much! Thanks to Rob for taking so much time to organize the group. See most of you in the Christmas challenge! |

Noooooo Diva! Come back! Please stay! It's not just about losing the weight, it's eating healthy and being active. I too have been stuck for weeks, but I refuse to give up and just allow the pounds to come back. If this were easy we would all be healthy, skinny people to start with. Just re-focus and please don't give up! |

{{{meryl}}} I am so sorry you are having such a hard time. It must be very frustrating for you to feel like you don't have any control right now. I hope that you will be feeling better soon. Just try to stay focused on healthy eating right now to fuel your body. The weight loss will com when it can. Your post has reminded me that I am here to do other things than reach some magical number. For that I thank you, and I am sending you healing wishes. |

Last week 136.5 This week (Sunday) 135.5 Loss 1 pound. Scale was as low as 133 last week, so I am confident we are on a downturn. I am not posting what I weighed this morning as I believe there was an eclipse, possibly sunspots, or perhaps alien intervention happening. Exercise program is going okay. I had 4 workouts last week. Didn't do anything but work on the house over the weekend :(. Now that it gets light early again I need to start running in the morning - therefore no excuses! Way to go all of you losers - hang in there everyone else! |

Love my Ron Popeil Ronco rotisserie cooker! Just "set it and forget it"! Also love my Bare Minerals mineral make-up. Oh, almost forgot Slim in 6 is pretty good too. And can't forget the Magic Bullet. It's a dream for making smoothies. The smaller size is a lot easier to clean. I usually google the product, read up on it a bit, and buy if I am still interested. I never buy straight off from watching the infomercial - only after I have "researched" LOL. |

Last week 134.5 This week 136.5 Gain of that stupid 2 pounds again. Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was distracted with actual work (grin) and couldn't lurk as I normally do. I cannot believe that this challenge is winding down. Wow and congratulations to everyone that stuck it out to the end, even if some of us did not reach our goal. It is quite an accomplishment for me to stick with anything this long so I am patting myself on the back. |

I worked hard all weekend - we are remodeling - drywalling and cleaning up all that dust. I got runs in on Friday and Sunday - yeah me - but I used that as an excuse to overeat and drink. As Cordie would say, Let me zee, here. Methinks I zee a trend happening. Just becuz we exerzise does not mean a free pazz at ze all you can eat buffet... Back on the wagon again today, but my butt has some serious bruising from falling off lately... |

| The Lounge | Once a cheater....always a cheater? | Oct 22 2008 22:37 (UTC) |

I think it is very easy and over-simplified for a person to say that they would never cheat or that they would never tolerate being cheated on. My ex-husband once cheated and we divorced years later for that and other reasons. But we never did anything about it - it was that skeleton in the closet never dealt with. I always thought that I would never, could never do that to someone. However, I did. I am still with that same person. Like others here have said we both had to work to save our relationship which is stronger now than ever. Do I wish I had never done it - every day. But I am grateful every day that he is not the type of person that some of you are to close yourself off to the idea of salvaging the relationship. He didn't think he could, but he worked as hard as I did. It is indeed a very personal decision and I don't think that anyone should rush to say "always a cheater" or that they would never do that. You just never know sometimes where your life might lead. Sorry for the over-simplifed, over-sharing. This topic is just very close to my heart |

WOO HOO! I got up this morning at 530 and did my 30 minute run/walk! I feel so much better about myself the whole day when I do my exercise first thing. If I hit the snooze I beat myself up about it, then end up eating poorly by the end of the night (Last night was no exception |

Anybody else itch when they get up a good sweat?? Diva - don't know if you've found an answer on this but I do if I am working in the yard in jeans. If I am on my hands and knees the back of my knees itch terribly! I think there is something in the denim that I am allergic to. Maybe try again in shorts (weather permitting) or a different type of pant. Let me know if you figure it out! |

Leanne - I so want to order PB2! Please let me know as I am a peanut butter addict (recovering). For the mini challenge I am going to commit to 3 days of running per week. My girlfriend just completed her 2nd marathon and she has been such an inspiration. I have done a couple 5k's, a half, and a 25k, but it's been a couple of years since I have really commited to a running program. We kind of have this cyber running/email group with a bunch of us from around the country and now they want to plan a 2010 marathon for all of us! I'm not sure if I can do this (bum knees) but I really want to try! |

It must have been terribly hard to come to this decision. You are in my thoughts and I hope everything works out for you. The horse club sounds like a great idea. I love my "boys" very much and caring for them and riding is very theraputic to me. This cyber community is wonderful and very supportive. Please know that we are here if you need us! Hugs |
