wsamemoon, where did you get the 5' plus 5/6 lbs for every inch?

from a MD. Please note there are +/- depending on body built, race, etc which is also determined by your MD (this is estimated body weight)

this is how your MD got that 120 lbs. 5' is 100 lbs for every inch add 5 lbs for females and 6 lbs for males (5' baseline is 106).

I hope this helps..

hi guys,

How is everyone doing with their respective weight loss? I'm hitting my 3rd plateau. I'm kinda bum about it because it take me forever to break plateau. The last time, it took me 2 weeks to break it.

I'm actually 9 lbs away from my goal weight.... any suggestions? Oh yeah, can not fit any work out... 2 kids and studying for my boards keeps my day full.

I'm hoping my continued breast feeding and limiting my caloric intake should do the trick.

it's not a bad idea to vacuum your mattresses at home every so often (like two or three times a year)

i'm not a germophobe, i'm more of a germo-wiselycautious

and yes, it would be very unlikely that dried body fluid flakes would find their way into my body through an open sore while still carrying active disease, but still --

other peoples' dried body fluids = WAY ICKY!  yuck!  no thank you.

i strongly prefer to know the people (well) whose body fluids I choose to come in contact with... but hey, tha's jus' how i roll

Cool

THANK YOU!!! same thoughts exactly........

okay guys well said, I hear all of you... honestly, I do not call myself a germaphobe.... but after being given a room, with nice crisp sheets......... body hairs.... passing it off a cleaned room. It makes me think ... how many times have I gotten in these nice "clean" crisp sheets... which they might not have been changed at all...........

But all thought and points have been noted... And I thank all of your for your honesty!

I had a scheduled induction for my 1st child. I worked until the day before my induction date. I too worked in NYC but lived in NJ. I worked at the hospital where I was to deliver. I was better off being at work than being at home.

Since I was a 1st time mom I wanted to spend all my allowed time when she came out.

GOOD LUCK!!! Enjoy your baby!!!!

Beta- hCG which maintains the pregnancy, produced by the egg causes the nausea and sometimes vomiting (N/V) you feel during the day, noon and night. Vanessa is right that this too will pass because b-hCG eventually decreases (because placenta develops takes over in supporting the baby) in amount once you go into your 2nd trimester. Well, unless you have Hyperemesis Gravidarum- a totally different.

I too had the same problem for both my previous pregnancies.... but eventually goes away on your 2nd tri.

1. grazing - Cheerios i ate 1 piece at a time if i felt N/V

2. drake allotof water

3. sucked a dried fruit e. dried mango, apricot

hope this helps

Pregnancy & Parenting grapefruit, ok while breastfeeding Apr 09 2008

its been a week from the last time I had anything citrus (grapefruit, orange, tomato etc.), I have not seen any change in the frequency of her BM's. She has 5-7/ day (I included the times when she passes gas and poops comes out too). I really don't think its diarrhea. No other associated signs or symptoms.

I know Breast fed (BF) babies have a more watery consistency than formula fed once. I failed to mention that this is my 2nd child and I have not gone through the same experience with my first daughter. I ate everything with my 1st daughter. I think I have been patient enough. If within another week nothing changes (I read some where it takes 2 weeks for complete elimination of substances from breast milk) I'll have her poop tested.

I just hope that I'm just 1 paranoid mother and all is well........

you're absolutely correct on that thought linablue. I am thinking more of the acid content of the grapefruit than the fiber content. I have read on the web articles that there is no definite list a mom cld not eat while breastfeeding. They did mention it all depends on the hypersensitivity history of once family that 1  should be cautious.

Gassy baby? not really! Other than the increase in BM she is totally fine. Increase weight by 1 lbs from last month peds visit. my peds wants a little more weight gain than just a pound.

I'll definitely, keep you guys posted.

Cool

thanks for sharing guys! lap21, my daughter 51/2 months when I started with the grapefruit in my diet, she is now 6 months old.

I'll do my little experiment and see how it goes. I am completely eliminating anything with citrus from my diet for 2 weeks and see if her bowel movements (BM) improve. Yesterday she had about 6 BM (maybe from the grapefruits I ate before yesterday????)
