| I hate spending time on meals, so here's the quickest one I've found- takes 10 min max.
here's a super easy, super healthy soup that every vegetarian should know about! it has all the nutrients we need and often lack at only 200 calories for a filling serving.
Makes 1 serving of Black Bean Soup 1/2-3/4 c canned black beans, drained 3 tbsp boiling water 1/4 boullion cube 1/4 tsp ground cumin 1/4 c chunky salsa 1. dissolve boullion in hot water 2. put all ingredients in blender and frappe 3. heat mixture on medium heat in saucepan you can top it with light sour cream and chopped green onions if you like, or just eat it as is. I really like it as is, but I'm sure there are tons of variations that can be done. If anyone has any suggestions etc please share =) roughly 500 g serving, 200 Calories, 9g Dietary Fibre (35% daily intake), 13g Protein (30% daily intake), Vitamin A 45% • Vitamin C 54% Calcium 5% • Iron 7% *Based on daily values for 2000 cal diet I have mine with a boiled egg (protein) and some veggies on the side- keeps me full for hours, and at only 300 cals for the whole lunch |

| EGGS! it sounds like you might be slightly lactose intolerant, so maybe try eggs- they are one of the only foods human's can completely digest, are high in protein and verrry nutritious. if you're worried about cholesterol etc try egg whites. maybe 2 egg whites and 1 egg in a scramble/omelette? i just started eating them, and am already seeing the difference in my hunger/ protein intake. i used to get terrible acid reflux for no apparent reason, but since i started eating eggs and cutting back on spicy foods these problems have dissappeared. but definitely see a doctor in the meantime. hope you feel better soon =) | |||

| hey thats definitely a good approach, but have you tried eating almond butter? i used to have major pb binges, and could not give pb up completely, so i tried maranatha almond butter- its soo good! peanuts are extremely high on the glycemic index scale, and so they induce cravings, whereas almond butter is lower, healthier, and does not make most people crave, but is rather more satisfying than pb. its worked for me, so maybe it would work for you too. | |||

| yes! I know exactly what you are talking about- everyone being unable to finish firsts, while im up for seconds. first, teenagers require more food due to growth, so double check your estimated calories burned on a site specifically for our age group, then if you are still getting enough it may be due to lack in nutrients. I recently started taking a multivitamin due to a lack in iron (vegetarian) , so I'll let you know, but in the last 3 days I've doubled my protein intake and been stuffed along with everyone else! Instead of some toast with jam for breakfast, try an omelette made with one whole egg, and 2 egg whites, 1 tbsp grated cheese and some spinach, salt and pepper. I top mine with ketchup and have it on a slice of wholegrain toast. It totals at just under 300 cals and gives me 40% of my daily protein intake, keeping me full for quite some time. | |||

| today will be binge free day 1, i really hope. the last 3 days have been disgusting- i ate all three days whenever possible, even when i was at the point of feeling like throwing up from eating so much. ive had some serious issues to deal with friends over the last while, from feeling ostricized by my group of friends, to having a close friend confess he really like me and not liking him back, to having my closest friends begin experimenting with hard drugs. i dont want to be specific, but it seems like my only escape is to dive into food. ive literally gained 2 pounds from eating 2500 over maintenance EVERY day. holy crap. and on me it shows immediately on the face. wow. just backtracked 2 weeks of weight loss. today is day 1 and im hoping to make it to 14 this time, because i got to 13 last time and then the 3 days of bingeing started. | |||

damnit, im on day 2 of bingeing.. i think ive just cancelled out all the progress i made in 2 weeks, and i feel gross both in my stomach and in my mind- if you get what i mean, its like i feel sick and dont know if im hungry, plus im really dissapointed in myself. i think i need something more in my life if im truly going to kick this habit. i mean i binge on things i dont even like- crackers with whatever smears we have (butter, jam, pb, almond butter, honey and even sugar!), boring tea biscuits i dont even like that much with spreads/ tea, chickpeas, juice, lots of granola/ raisin bran with full fat yogurt and sugar which makes me feel queasy, but i just keep going. I DONT GET IT! its not even that yummy, just comforting- i need something to replace comfort food that makes my stomach uncomfortable maybe volunteering would have a good effect. maybe a job? any ideas? so starting tomorrow i am aiming again for 14 at least, its just hard to stop overeating once ive started. aaaaah!!! im so frustrated and kind of grossed out with myself. ive just been having serious mood swing/ boredom problems, like im just trudging through each day, not with any purpose or lasting satisfaction in anything. sorry, this is a bit off topic, but i really need to get it out and dont want to burden my family/ friends with annoying rants on my lack of self control. frickfrickfrick, what is wrong with my life thats making me do this? |

creedy23, don't beat yourself up! You look pretty damn inshape to me from that little thumbnail, and if you stayed in your calorie range there is NO way you gained 3 lbs fat in one night. its probably from an overconsumption of sodium which causes your body to retain water (you might already know that), but I'd suggest just watching the sodium and drinnking looots of water. I know how you feel about the pics- my friends take loads and theres always some that make me feel ****, but w/e theyre just pics, and we're here to get in shape. i use them as motivation :P Good job on the minibinge that stayed in your calories. Today's my family's easter celebration day, so I saved my cals for the chocolates and feel pretty queasy right now from those cadbury eggs, but hey- I don't feel like eating anymore :) I really want to thank you all for your input :) |

| Drink lots and lots of water! Go for a walk, have a bath, or do anything that makes you happy that does not include eating food. Then, later if you're still really hungry try eating low cal fruits such as strawberries, or veggies like celery/ asparagus etc. If you don't have low cal fruits at home walk to the grocery store and get some. It'll keep you busy, burn calories, and get you those low cal fruits. If you're temted to buy other snacks only bring a small amound of money and buy only fruit. As for not going over- drink water (and I mean loooots of water), substitute veggies and fruits for breads etc. This way you can eat more and still be at a low calorie intake. are you a snacker? If so try to eat a 300 cal breakfast, a 100 cal snack, a 300 cal lunch, a 100 cal snack and then a 300 cal dinner. That way you still have 200 cal for snacks. If you like having a big dinner have 50 calorie snacks and a 200 cal lunch so you can have a 500 cal dinner, plus the 200 cal fruit snack afterwards. Just juggle it around according to when you like to eat the largest amount during the day. | |||

swimchick_123-- you don't have to give waffles up completely! I have mine with blueberry sauce (made with frozen blueberries and a tsp sugar) or with pb and banana- way more filling and healthy. If you really want that sugary kick, why not try honey-- its high cal, but you don't need as much for a lot of flabour and it boosts your immune system |
