and of course, if you are planning to tone up and gain lean muscle mass, then this would make you weigh more, despite being healthy (and the BMI wouldnt be fully accurate). it's weird, I just recently had a battery of tests taken for a physiological science course that i am taking and even though i weigh 153 pounds (which BMI says is considered slightly overweight), I have 72% lean body tissue (healthy for women is between 64 and 88%)...so you really cant go solely by the number on the scale! |

eat foods that rank high on the satiety index: http://www.diabetesnet.com/diabetes_food_diet /satiety_index.php these tend to be whole grains (whole wheat bread, brown rice, brown pasta, oatmeal), legumes, fish, and fruits. and ditto about the eating every 3-4 hours. also, thirst can sometimes mask itself as hunger. so whenever im hungry i try to drink a cup of water first and THEN see if im still hungry.
