Weight Loss Is it slipping away? Sep 05 2009

I have lost 100lbs and did the last 50 plus with CC.  I hit my goal last X-mass.  Since then I let thing slip and get totally out of hand and before I hit bottom. I had gained back 25 lbs in 8 months.

I finally Have gotten back into the swing of things and have started losing again.  "Only" 20lbs to go.  I am still disgusted with myself that I allowed it to happen.  I had to find a whole new direction and out look.  But this time I will reach my goal and will not ever be more than 5 lbs from it again.

I follow a different diet now (I do not have to count) but I still think CC is the best site and I still track my calories on occasion just to make sure I don't completely over do it.

How ever it comes off it is a way of life.  I will always have to stick to a plan or it will come back.  I Keep my goal pic on the fridge and above the scale.  I will be there again.  I like being thin too!  I am at a healthy weight now but when i drop 20 I will still be in a healthy weight but I'll be thin.

You have done wonderful!  Stay with it!

Sorry I rambled back, thanks.

Hello everyone I hope you all had a good week.

I completely fell off the wagon.  I have had pizza twice and a angry whopper and many nights of beer.  I was ovulating.  For me that means massive bloat and wicked hunger's.  I also means pain, I wouldn't care so much but my pipes don't even work, twice a month misery.  Any way my weight went up to 138 yesterday! and I know it is not "real" but it sure does suck to see.  This morning I was back to 133 so at least it's heading down.  I'm sure my eating spree has cost me a real pound or two but I hope to be back to at least 130 by next week.

I'm back,  On track as of today and not so bad yesterday.

Suzi  WOW!!  Windrine I hope the next week brings you what you want.

Welcome to our newest people I hope you'll do well. Kckatl  If your plan works I'll be following you.  I am an evening eater!

I am up 2lbs over my start weight.  I'm not worried too much.  I have had a weekend full of ham and cake and chips.  But not enough to gain almost 3 1/2lbs.  I was at 128.6 on Friday.  I'm sure it is just bloat.  I didn't go over my calories that much. For the week I still had a nice deficit.

My goal for next Monday is 127.8  I plan on clean eating and lots of salads over the next few days.  Well maybe just a little cake.

Welcome mammerma!  It's never too late.

I hope everyone has great plans for the weekend and sticks with mostly healthy choices.

I am a daily weigher myself but after a nice meal of ham last night as in a NE boiled dinner and then topping it off with popcorn before bed....  I forgot to weigh in this morning.  I will continue to consume the ham over the next few day so I am going to try to keep my water intake up.

Stick with us lovin.  It happens all the time (that it went up)  You can start again today and make it go down.  I am here because after I hit my goal I allowed the scale to go up 15lbs.  So I restarted and only have 8.6 to go. AGAIN!!  Oh well this is life we are living and it is not always by the book.

Tod WOW!  You are kicking!!   Look out 130 here you come!

hello.  Andi WW pasta is better for you because of it's whole grains and nutrient levels.  It also tends to fill you up more and stay with you longer.   Kind of like brown rice vs. white.  It is just a little less processed.

I hope everyone has had a good week.  I'm ready to just try and maintain this weekend.  I have company coming and a baby-shower and a birthday party....  I will be strong.

I will try to check back later.

It's Friday!  I have actually worked all week and have today off.  I need to play catch up with the housework and do some food shopping as my folks are coming to stay for the weekend.  It's my daughters 3rd birthday on Sunday.  I have a babyshower to go to tomorrow...

I had a good week eating wise and I did have pizza one night but I kept it to a minamum amount and had salad first.  I am so happy to be below my goal this week I hope it doesn't bounce back after the weekend.

I find when I'm having a hungry day I just cook.  I might make some soup, I like very hot foods so I'll simmer some garlic and hot peppers in some chicken broth.  A cup is 10 calorie satisfaction.  Also drink a full glass of water before putting anything in your mouth.  A cucumber sliced up makes for a filling muchie buster if you add some lean protein ie, chicken breast or hummus it will stick longer.  Air popped popcorn is also low calorie and gives you something to crunch on.

Maybe if you went through some recipe books, find something that you have the stuff for and try to lighten it up.  Weigh everything as it goes in so you'll know how to divide up a portion.

I hope your girls moods get better maybe they take nice long naps.  I know it must be stressful to be trapped with 2 little ones when they cranky.

Welcome to everyone new!

Shapeshifter I hope you had a fantastic birthday!!  Drink lots of water and just get back to it and you'll be fine.  We all gotta live!

Everyone is doing super great. One more week over.

I think I'm having pizza for dinner tonight.  I keep going back and forth about when we are having it.  I just can't decide if I want it tonight or tomorrow.  Most likely I'll just make something when I get home and then I won't have to even worry about it.  I think I'll make a pasta something instead.  It still will be kinda high calorie but at least then I'll be in control.  Ordering a pizza is just so easy.  If I get something out tonight I can put it in the crock-pot in the morning.  (my problem is I'm normally home to cook but this week I'm at work every night till 5 and by the time I get home it's almost 6 and by then the child as well as myself is starving)  I don't know how people do it.

Welcome lozzle!

Great job tink and twilight! Twilight you did great this week!  A 2 pound loss is a perfect target!

I have a baby shower to go to next weekend myself.  I'm hoping that there will be some light foods there but we'll just have to wait and see.  Life goes on around us and we just have to make the best choices we can and if we don't...  We just start right back up where we left off.

I only lost a .6 of a pound but I'm very happy with that as all week I've been bloated and have been up to 132.  I'm hoping for a larger loss this coming week.  At this rate I'll not make my 10lbs but any pounds off are great.

Just popping in to say hi.  My bloat came off yesterday so it makes me want to stay on track this weekend.  I needed that just to say no to the beer.  I'm off to do some chores then I think we'll groom the horses.  They'll ejoy it and it will be a family thing to do with Hallie.  (We have a mini so it's just her size)  At least we'll be outside.

I think we should edit copy and paste our original post.  We have new people spreading out over all the pages so for me it will be easier to keep track of.  I'll make a master copy for the first page then it will make it easier if you just want to add a new weight.YKWIM?

Yes I started my weekend early and had 3 beers and 300 cals worth of peanut M&M's last night plus I had too much real mayo on my crab sandwich.  The whole thing put me over my calories by about 900!   I weighed in today and I'm up.Cry  I intend on grilling and having a wonderfully light veggie filled weekend.  If my TTOM would just end I know I'd feel better.

Amy You have a great attitude I'm sure you can do it!

It is a new day and my mini goal is to at least get back to 130 before weigh in on Monday.  I hope to be pleasantly surprised.  I'm going to play fish and drink a ton of water the next few days (weeks) and try to flush out the extra sodium and crap I know I'm retaining.  Back on track!  I really want to lose this weight!!!!

Have a wonderful Long weekend everyone!  I'll be at work tomorrow but I'll be checking in!

Welcome to jsgarvin, jlendermo (Jessica) and san4sic!  I hope I haven't missed anyone.  As of right now we are at 21.

I'll make a master list after Monday depending on how many we still have with us.  If we miss more then 2 weigh ins in a row then the names will drop from the list.

It's Friday.  I was so excited about weigh day yesterday that I ate 300 caloris of peanut M&Ms and had real mayo on my sea-leg sandwhich plus 3 beers last night.  I don't quite know how it all happened but hey it's life and the day goes on. The good news for me is that I still am at a loss from when I started this group.  The bad news is that I am at a gain from my low this week.

Butternut, I peel it with a vegetable peeler then  I cut off the round end first with a big knife!  Then I half it, both sections, Then I just go to town trying to make them as uniform as possible.

Tomorrow is weigh day!  Yes I look forward to these kind of things.  It is still TOTM but I very hopeful for the drop.  I also weigh on Mondays  so I'm sure to catch it one day or the other.  I'm working again this afternoon a few extra dollars will help pay for the new sundresses and sandals I bought 2 days ago. LOL

Keep up the good work everyone!

Thanks we think she a keeper.

The 5 lbs is just because it is the first week back to eating healthy for me.  It's mostly water weight but at least its gone.  I lost all of my weight just from dieting with a little exercise just to keep from losing all of my muscle.  I prefer pilates with a exercise ball and dvd's and weight lifting.

I really like "The new rules of lifting for woman"

I count everything that goes in my mouth.  Even the "let me just have a taste" of it bites.  I very rarely eat sugar and most of my carbs are from whole grains.  Although I will eat a greasy slice of pizza every now and again but I like to do that on weigh day so I have a week to work it off.LOL  Oh yeah and my main way to lose weight it to stop drinking beer.  Now if I have one I poor it into a tall frosty glass and really enjoy it.

Good morning!  Welcome windrine!

Alex, and/or anyone else struggling who would like a plan written out for them or just a few healthy tips.

This is Dr. Joey http://drjoey.com/site/home/index.html I have read a few of her books and it sound right up you alley.  In fact, I might need to head back to the library and see about getting a copy of "The last 15".

I have read the make over one and it really works. Meaning you lose wieht and feel great, but I love red meat!  I have finally gotten used to being satisfied with a "portion" but I'm not ready to give it up completely.  Don't get me wrong I love boca burgers with all the trimmings at lunch.  Or a low carb, low cal wrap with a mound of fresh sprouts and a tablespoon or two of hummus.

Okay now I'm kinda excited about getting back to a clean or at least cleaner diet.  Although as it is my ladytime and I'm still crampy and crabby I think I'll go ahead and order http://www.amazon.com/Hungry-Girl-Under-Recip es-Calories/dp/0312556179  This is HG's 200 under 200. Low calorie, not that unhealthy  junkfood.

Hi everyone!  Alex, Thank you.  I was 120 in my pics at Christmas last year.  I'm happy to maintain about 125 though. (I'm 5'4 how I look realy depends if I'm lifting weights or not.  I have slowly been getting back into the swing of things.

I see that you eat fish do you eat beans or lentils?  How about veggies?  I guess I mean when you say no carbs do you just mean processed carbs or all of them?

I've done a mini cleanse before that had no red meat no dairy and no grains but that was only for five days I think it was Dr. Joey Shulman (or something) It was a good book.  I'm not good at restricting myself.  I like too many foods.  I think that's why I like calorie count so much, nothing is off limits.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow I hope it's a good day!

You'll either have it or you won't.  I have it, but I would rather have it empty than full.  Someday I'll have it removed but until then It's just a part of me and I know that it used to be full.  (I did have a C -section with my daughter and that didn't help the cause)

Best of luck!
