I'm currently in a young adult lit class.. We read "The Catcher in the Rye" which was really great. Originally intended for adults. Now we're on "The Silent Boy". Out of class readings include "Confucius Lives Next Door", "Wicked", and a boat load of Vonnegut novels.

Yeah.. I'm really rethinking the slimfast diet. Good thing I didn't go out and buy any :)

It really sucks working as a secretary since you aren't able to control who comes around you.. I had the same problem when i was a secretary-- it seemed all the really good looking guys who were my age didn't seem stop by and chat, but all the older, creepier guys did.. Totally grossed me out. I got really good at looking busy at my computer (while playing solitaire) and totally ignoring the gross, old guys. Since there's probably no way of avoiding them you should probably just stick with telling them you're too young-- and definitely cut the conversation short when possible- some guys don't get the hint :)

Yeah, i don't blame you.. besides that was just that show's suggestion- I'm sure eating 2 hours prior isn't a big deal..

I think it's better to eat a light meal at least 3 hours or so before working out (thanks to info I learned on BBC's "You are what you eat").. If you're eating at 6 and working out at 8 I'd either go with the shake and banana or the yogurt and granola-- those sound the most delicious to me too :) To avoid cramps I think you should probably go with something light.

Try some lemon juice in your water.. It will add some flavor to your water and to me it is far better than the crystal light flavorings. Lemon juice works well if you hate the taste of artificial sweeteners.

I've heard of some people adding apple sauce too to cakes-- I'm assuming instead of oil as a way of making it more healthy.. I've personally never tried it, but from what I have heard it's not too bad
