i seem to eat a lot in front of other people too. because they are obsessed with my condition. some people tease me with the word anorexia. although it's not true at all. and i know a lot of my friends think i'm an exercise bulimic. but really, exercise is just an important part of my life. and i love running. it's become a habit. and it should be appreciated. not looked down upon. good for you for not letting stupid asinine judgments change your eating habits that you've worked so hard to get to. |

long distance running. I absolute love it. i run all through out the winter and i wanted to do a half-marathon but now that track is coming up, i didn't want to mess up my season. so i'm definitely doing one over the summer. because i don't think a half marathon is gonna kill my cross country season. but anyways, that was a stupid ramble. i love running. good luck on your training! long runs are definitely my favorite. nothing like a good ten miles to sort out some issues and think about how the week is going. running is my thinking time. when i don't run, i can't solve problems. anybody relate to that? |

| I agree with your view on "starvation mode". The reason people are overweight is because they eat when it's unnecessary. Thank god you said it. I really don't understand starvation mode and everyone's obsession. Maybe someone needs to explain it to me? I don't understand calorie goals either. Do you only work for maintaining a calorie goal when you're underweight? Does it matter if you're overweight? Now this has really got me wondering. Please help me out here. | |||

Seriously, I have the same issue with overeating on the weekends. Especially today. Saturday was my birthday and so my mom got me this cake. And I worked out Saturday so that was definitely okay and I could forgive myself for that ordeal. But then today, I ate soooo many pretzels and had a piece of cake. on top of every other meal. and i didn't exercise, of course, because my mom couldn't drive me to the gym and she won't let me go running outside alone because she's afraid something is going to happen to me. it's so absolutely frustrating. any ideas about how to get back on track again? having this cake in the house is killing me and i attempted to throw it out but i'm sure it would insult my mom. =[ |

I know exactly what you mean with the only being able to do good at school thing. I have the same exact issue. It's like you have less access to all the unhealthy stuff at school. Well. I'm working on it. I'm also a cross country and track runner. My 5k time like a year ago was 21:22. 800 - 2:43? 3200 - less than 13. as of a year ago also. |
