thank you so much. this helps out a whole lot. I think that this is an eating plan that I can stick to. I am so use to just staying on the low calorie diet all the time, and sometimes this can actually lead to bingeing. Thank you again so much...Smile

Thank all of you for your help. When I say that I have been watching what I eat like crazy, I am saying that I have only been eating between 1600-2000 calories per day. I am 29 years old, and I currently weigh 243 lbs. I probably could stand to drop my calorie intake by a little more though. I did bring out the tape measure, and as of right now, I have lost 3 inches off of my waist. In the past, I never took into consideration anything outside of the number that shows up on the scale, but I am starting to find out that it is about more than that. I'm gonna try to decrease my calorie intake a little more, maybe by a couple of hundred and see how that works out. Thank all of you for your help......

You know, I really expected it to be a lot more, but I have been working out like crazy so MAYBEEEEE that has got a little something to do with it. Great job to all of you, and keep up the good work.....Smile

Weight Loss losing weight and regaining it...What am I doing wrong??? Jan 03 2009

Thank all of you for your responses. Overeating is hard to cope with, and regaining all of the weight that you have lost is no fun at all. Someone said that I might should try eating a bigger breakfast which is something that I haven't ever tried before. My breakfast lately has only been around 100-200 calories. I am going to try this and see how it works for me. Thank you....

Thank you both for your response. When I am losing weight, I am eating anywhere between 1600-2000 calories per day with excercising. When I gain, I am just excessively overeating like around 3000-4000 a day. I feel starved after doing so good all day long, and then at dinner I mess it all up by eating everything in sight. Maybe I am trying to restrict myself too much by I definetly would not thing so if eating 1600-2000 calories per day. I am 29 years old, 5'5, and 249 lbs. I know I do not need more than 2000 calories if even that much.....

Hey everybody.  I hope that I am doing this instant messaging thing right, but as of right now, I do not think that I am. I went to yahoo. com, and I put in my email address. I do see on there where it has whether or not you have any new mail. I also see a place where it says messaging, so I was wondering should I be doing something with the mail button or the message button. This may seem like a crazy question, but I honestly do not know what to do on it. Is there another way to go about doing this? Or should I just not worry about it, but the only thing is that if I do not get instant messaging, I think that I can only send like 2 messages per day and that sucks..... Will someone please help me out with this. Thank you in advance.....

Newlook08, of course it is not to late to get in. You are more than welcome. This group is all about support, and I know that together we can do this. The weight loss battle is not something that you can easily win, but with support and with a made up mind and self discipline, we can do it. For everyone that wants to join, it is never too late. If you did not get a chance to weigh in on Saturday, then just weigh in as soon as you can. Then we can all weigh in on next Saturday. I am going to be also writting all of you personally as soon as I figure out how to do the instant messaging. Well, welcome everyone and good luck on this weight loss journey...Smile

Hello everyone. I am so glad that all of you have joined. I noticed that someone asked how do you go about getting the instant messaging, but I am going to have to let someone else answer that question because I personally would like to increase my message sending limit also, but I do not know how to do it. Can someone please help us with this. Hey yall, but until then, we are currently weighing in every Saturday, unless someone wants to do it more often than that. Well, welcome All, and I am so glad that ya'll have joined.....Smile

Well, there we have it. A weight loss buddie group. Welcome everyone, this is just an idea, but I think that it would be great to go ahead and start posting our weight first thing in the morning, and from there on be sure to post in every week, which in the case if we start tommorrow would be every Saturday. Does this sound good to everyone???

Hello, well first of all, I also have instant messaging and I would love to talk. Secondly, I think it would be good if we just start off fresh tommorrow. I am 29 years old, 5'5, and I currently weigh 245 lbs. I think that it would be so fun to actually have some weight loss buddies. It is always easier to me if you have someone to share your weight loss journey with (well, if you can anyway).Smile Thank ya'll for responding and I would love to start this thing right on up. If you would rather start on Monday, then just let me know. I know how it is to want to enjoy your weekend, but if you would rather start on tommorrow, I am all for it because to me, the sooner the better. Well, ya'll just let me know.....

Weight Loss Should I do a "Cleanse" - Sacred Heart Diet... Dec 09 2008
18:51 (UTC)
1

Well, if you want to do the diet, I'm not going to say that it is just the worst thing that you could do. I have tried it a total of 3 times, and each time I tried it, I lost between 13-17 lbs. The one thing that I will say is that the diet states that you will feel more energy around the third day than when you started, and this is just not true. I felt like I was going to pass out and my heart kept skipping a beat. Honestly, the diet does bring off the weight, if you can just make it through it. One key factor is not to overeat after the diet or else the weight will come back....

Weight Loss Is there a way to get full on a diet or do I have to feel like I'm starving??? Dec 07 2008
21:14 (UTC)

Well, I certainly thank all of you for your help. Someone asked me how old I am, what is my weight, How much do I excercise, etc. I am 29 years old, and I weigh 246.0 lbs. In a typical day I do quite a bit of housework and I usually try to work out 3-4 times a week. I try to eat around 1600-1800, but definetly not more than 2000 calories per day. I was actually wandering if I should be eating more or less. When I mess up and binge at the end of the day, sometimes I wind up eating around 3500-5000 calories a day which winds up adding me on an extra 2 or 3 pounds the next day. But when I am doing a good job on my diet, then I stick to about 1600-1800 calories per day. I think that part of the problem is that a lot of the food that I eat consists of high calorie foods. For example. For breakfast, I may have a sausage and biscuit for about 400 calories. Then 3 hours later I may have a 100 calorie snack. Around 3 hours after that I will have lunch which ususally consists of maybe a sandwhich and a few chips usally adding to around 400-500 calories. Then I may have another snack around  100-200 calories. All of that sounds okay (i know it could be a whole lot better) By dinnertime, I am usually starving and I mess up and consume around 2000 calories. I am 5'5. What can I do differently to stop making the same mistake over and over again???

To tngardengal: I agree with G.I. Jane. She is absolutely correct. Do you think that maybe you are trying to lose too much weight? Wow, this feels so much like I am being a hypocrite because I gained all that weight in just a couple of days. Well, the truth of the matter is that I do know how to lose weight, it is just that I got tired and fed up, but me gaining 15 pounds was just not called for, and now I have to do all that work back over again. I do realize that this type of behavior is just making it hard on my own self. Now if you do happen to binge, then just try not to go over that certain amount of calories that you know that you will burn in a single day. oh, and for a really great tip, do not go too long without eating. When I am really on my diet the right way, I try to make sure that I do not go for more than 3-4 hours without eating. That way my metabolism will stay boosted up and I will be able to burn more calories. Whatever you do, if you do happen to mess up, try not to eat more calories than you know that you will burn, and don't go any longer than 3-4 hours without eating. Don't deprive yourself too much because at the end of the day you will be starved and will want to eat anything, and then all of work will be in vain.  I hope that this helps. Just speaking from experience.....

Wow, I must say that that is pretty impressive  streetrcr4u. You lost around a lb. per day. That is a very good job and you should feel very good about that. Right now I am about 5'5 and I weigh 236.5 lbs. I was 225, but as you all know, I gained a lot of weight by being foolish. You're right though, there are several ways that I can burn extra calories, I really have to just get up and do it. I walk all day long at work, and I have never been a lazy person, so I really should be taking advantage of that. I also think that I will take your advice on cutting down some on the calories. I really just need to eat some healthier foods and I am sure that I will be full that way.
