Weight Loss Military Spouses? Mar 20 2008

Military wife here too! My husband is in the National Guard. Like a lot of you, I found it a lot easier to lose weight when he was in Iraq and have had the hardest time losing since he came home (He can eat anything and still be thin, so naturally, he wants cheeseburgers, pasta and french fries) We are trying to start a family, however, so I am more determined than ever to be healthy. Sometimes I find it hard to keep up with my husband's career, even without kids, you are all an inspiration. Its good to see that there are women who are taking care of large families and dealing with the military side of life. Thanks! I feel more confident now. Good luck with your weight and health!

I am about 185 right now... although my scale just likes to change it all the time. I got down to about 160-165 in college and I loved it.  I know I could go lower though too than even 160. This time I am going for 150. I think that will be pretty much perfect. If I get there and think I can do better... than I will. But pretty much I would be sooooo excited to just get to 150.

I just started this a little over two weeks ago, I already had a fairly healthy diet and exercised 3 times a week, but found out it wasnt good enough. I have high cholesterol (I'm only 23... yikes) It's genetic, but I cant take the medication because my husband and I are trying to start a family. So I am trying to bring it down naturally. I figured getting my weight in check would defintely help on that end.

If anyone else struggles with cholesterol due to genetics or whatever, I would love to talk to ya and find out if you have had any success! Thanks!!!

Weight Loss Lost 25 pounds and still D cup size!?!??! Mar 04 2008

I lost about 35-40 pounds in college. I have always been a double D (probably bigger, just didnt want to admit it) Anyway, my size didnt change at all. I looked extrememly disporportional and had a lot of trouble. I could never wear normal clothes, it was just awful. I finally made the decision to have a reduction. I will never regret it. My insurance paid for it and I am now a comfortable D and they gave me a lift :) So life is great. It is a HUGE step and the recovery isn't easy, but to have it off of my mind was worth it all!
