Great job again!  I counted around another 25 pounds lost this week. (since I last weighed in)

I'll confess, I haven't been on CC since last week.  (I do journal on my Weight Watchers journal, so I've been on track.)  But I just noticed the additional exercise challenge.  I think this is just what I need.  Next week when I log my weigh-in I will also note how many minutes I exercised this week!!

1.4 pound GAIN this week.  4.6 total lost, 11 more to go!

Although I did gain this week, I think I noticed a pattern of my gaining once every four weeks.  (Sound familiar, ladies?)  So, I'm going to keep my eye on that and hopefully I'll show my loss next week.

Good luck everyone!

Sorry, I don't have much in the way of motivation to exercise, I'm struggling with that myself right now.  Hopefully you'll find what works for you soon.  Wink

OK...I have been lurking on this site for literally months.  Not really intentionally lurking, that's just how long it took me to read the 141 of pages of hysterics.  I'm so glad I caught up just in time to join you in your celebration!!!

A HUGE congratulations Molly!!!  You truly are an inspiration!!  You not only met your goal, but you hit it out of the park!!!!  Now, sit back and enjoy being the new "you" as you transition into maintenance mode.

Now I must return to lurking land to catch up on the Haiku thread, the scale thread and the 100 reasons why thread that I tagged after hearing about them here.

A truly inspired lurker,

Misty

Congrats Team Three!!!  And A Super Duper Congrats to blanedrops & zinkity!!!

I sense that at least a few of us (including me) are getting pretty frustrated that the scale isn't always behaving the way we think it should. BUT, I just want to point out that of the teammates that are still weighing in, every single one of us has lost something during this challenge.  Now, that is something to be proud of!!

Hang in there, your hard work will show up on the scale eventually!!

It may sound crazy, but you can spread peanut butter on a raw cabbage leaf and roll it up.  We called it a "walking salad" at camp.  It tastes very similar to peanut butter on celery.

I know this wasn't really your question, but you could also just eat peanuts (or other nuts) to boost your protein & fats.

Congrats team on a good week!!  Extra congrats to ghostplanet & zinkity for making the biggest loser list!! Smile

wildntaken - I'm sorry to say that I don't have much advice, it looks like everything you posted should be working for you.  A can offer empathy because I know how frustrated I get when I'm doing what I should and it's not working like it is supposed to.  Hang in there & hopefully you'll get some good ideas / advice.

austj020 - that is wonderful that your mom stocked the house with the good power foods!!  It's nice to know that someone cares enough to help!! Congrats on reaching your goal, I hope you celebrated in a way that made you proud!!

Good luck on this week's weigh-in!!!

WOW - I think we are on a roll!!  We're overflowing with inspiration and motivation now!!

Congratulations kjmadill & austj020 for making the top 5/7 biggest losers!  And congrats to all of team three!!  We may have had a tiny setback, but lets chalk it up to Sodium, TOM, sunburn, birthday cake, whatever and get on a roll for this week.  We're still all working hard and deserve to pat ourselves on the back.

Papa3169 - I, for one, really appreciated your "Pump you up" reference and I don't care if it ages me a little.  Last night I tried to do my best Chris Farley "Living in a van down by the river" impression and my husband looked at me like I'd lost my mind.  At first I thought that my impression was that frightening (which it probably was).  But then I realized that when I was in college watching Saturday Night Live at the fraternity house every Saturday night he was still in middle school & didn't really get to watch SNL.  OOPS!  Sometimes I forget just how long 6 years can be.

cristin - I'll throw out today's menu in case anything is helpful:  Breakfast - 2c puffed kamut cereal with 1c unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze, Mid morning snack - 6oz Dannon Light & Fit Yogurt & 4oz Lite mixed fruit, Lunch - Leftovers - 3oz Chicken, Teryaki noodles (from the Knorr-Lipton pasta/rice packets), stir-fry vegatables & raw baby carrots, Mid afternoon snack - apple, Dinner - I haven't quite decided yet, but I think it will be shrimp, baked acorn squash, and green beans.  Hope that helps!!

I'm losing weight because:

I don't want diabetes or heart disease, both of which run in my family.

I want to be able to buy "normal-sized" clothes.

I want to have the energy to keep up with my 4 year old

I want my daughter to learn how to live a healthy lifestyle.

I want to "eat to live, not live to eat".

Congratulations to midnight mocha & cristin and all of team three!!!

wildntaken - I don't have any new ideas to offer, but I can offer some company in your situation.  I've lost a whopping 0.4 pounds in the last two weeks.  I know for me that my body has a "set point" where my weight likes to stay for a while.  It just so happens to be right around 230 lbs, which is leaving me stuck here at 234.2, just begging to drop below 230.  I know for me, I just have to keep on keepin' on and try not to get discouraged.  Easier said than done, though...this morning I threatened to throw the scale through the window.

kjmadill - thanks for the game!!  I ran over my neighbor because that's how I roll.

Hi everybody!  Thanks for the pats on the back & way to go team three!!  I think we are all doing great & I love the great tips I'm getting from everyone!

Papa, No "if I would haves" from you!!  We are a team and no pointing fingers, even if it is at yourself!!

letsgetitstarted, Thanks for sharing about the Wii Fit.  Although I'm completely jealous because I have to wait a while longer I'm excited to hear that it is entertaining & calorie burning!  It's available here right around my wedding anniversary, so I'm trying to talk the hubby into us buying it for ourselves as an anniversary present.

wildntaken - I hope you feel better soon!

kjmadill - Thanks again for posting our results and taking good care of our team thread!!

Congrats to kjmadill, zenasavvy, and all of us "losers" on team three!!

I'm sorry - I'm a little confused. Are the next weigh-ins due today (as in says in the post) or on the 1st (which is a week after the last due date)?

Weigh in day is every Tuesday, but you have until Thursdays to post your results.   That gives people a couple of days to get weighed in and post it in case they weigh in on a specific scale at the gym, can't get to their computer or life just gets in the way.

Good luck!!

I get up at 6:30am and I don't have to be at work until 9am. So i thought that if I ate as soon as I got up it would make me way to hungry before lunch, which i usually don't take until at least 2pm. Am i wrong in my thinking? I eat an english muffin for breakfast.

Angel

I usually split my breakfast up into 2 or 3 small meals and practically eat all morning.  I have a meal-replacement shake about 6:30, a serving of oatmeal about 8:30 and some fruit about 10:30.  Then, I have my lunch at 12:30.  Maybe some healthy snacks could help keep you satisified until lunch.

What a great idea for a thread!  Thanks!

I made myself proud yesterday because I tried yoga for the first time.  It was only 15 minutes of the beginner's stuff, but it wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be.

So far today I'm proud of myself for drinking my first glass of water already.

A big congratulations to everyone!  Great job @ this week's weigh in!!  Also, thank you kjmadill for posting the results to our thread.

I may not post all that often, but I do come here and read up every day.  Reading about the "family" is inspirational and motivational, not to mention the good tips along the way.  I just may not have much to say that hasn't already been said on most days.  Embarassed

Today though, I do have to tell you that I owe all of you a big thank you.  Thinking of all of you helped get me through a pot luck at work today.  First, I filled half of my plate with the raw veggies and topped them with salsa instead of the dip.  Then, I added some fruit, olives, chicken salad on lettuce instead of the bun, 1/2 of a turkey sandwich on wheat and 1 spoonful of the whole wheat pasta salad.  My "splurge" was a couple of pickle roll slices (dill pickle covered with cream cheese & wrapped with corned beef then sliced).  I successfully avoided the meatballs, crescent rolls all three kinds of cupcakes, tiramisu, deviled eggs, punch, chips and all 3 kinds of dip (fruit, veggies and chips).

I also have to add that after the party over most of my co-workers were sitting around talking about how full they were and how sleepy it made them, but I felt GREAT!!

Now, don't get me wrong, I do have my "splurge" days, but today just wasn't one of them.  Laughing

I did my part to help team three this week!  Cool

I just posted & was down 1.2 pounds.  I was kind of hoping for a little more, but a loss is a loss.  I weigh 1.2 pounds less than I did last week, 2.6 pounds less than I weighed 2 weeks ago and 38.2 pounds less than I did on Jan 4th when I started my journey.

Good luck everyone!!!
