Thanks for all the advice and making me feel better. I thought my cat hated me, haha.

Well good news though. When I woke up this morning her personality totally changed. She meows whenever i leave the room..and she comes up to me to be pet for ever and letsm e pick her up now. We even napped today. She was on my neck while i was lying down.

Maybe she just needed the night to cuddle with me to start trusting me.

She's so silly though. I bought her SO many toys and she only plays with a pen she found on the floor and chases her tail..lol. She will chase her tail for like 10 minutes.

ahaha its always the cheap toys. shipping boxes and balls of paper are my cats favorite. Also there is the laser light addiction.

Its not that bad really. Yes your cheeks will get a little puffy but an ice pack takes care of it. Also buy a big bottle of ibprophen. The pain killers will make you sleepy so the ibprophen helps when you need to stay awake. Slushies and italian ice will be your friend too. Just some other advice the gauze that you have to keep in your mouth tastes awful. Normally dentists are very generous and will knock you out or will numb you up pretty good.

^aww thats too cute. My brother moved across the country and he was taking his cat Slappy with him. Hes had her since she was a kitten. Well I spent most of my time with her and let her sleep on my neck or Id lay down and nap with her when I was home with school. Well anyway the day he was leaving I picked her up to say bye and she was in a mood and wouldnt cuddle me like she usually would. She just pushed her upper body away from me. It was so sad. Now when I visit she is her old self and I carry her every where w. me.

I have 9 cats and each one of them are different. I have 2 kittens and their mom, let me tell you the Missy (mom) and Boogie are the biggest mushes and lovers. Milo (boogies brother) is hysterically scared of everyone. Now Ive had them since birth and I held both all the time when they were little. When they were babies Milo would always cry when I held him, no matter what. Milo now will run away but every once in a while on a good day he will come over to be pet only if one of the other cats are there being pet then he'll butt in.

She will warm up too you. Make sure she see you put food down and when she is eating give her a pet on the head. Let her know who is there for her.

Edit: also an ice breaker are toys. Get a multipack of bell balls and mice, a toy on a string and a laser pointer. see which she likes

Yea i find that the Kashi hearty oatmeal isnt close to being as sweet as Quaker oatmeal. I would say its equivilent to adding a tbsp of honey to plain oatmeal.

I just made a huge pot of soup that I plan on portioning out and freezing (after I ate 2 bowls ;) )- It's totally healthy, high fiber, high protein, high anti-oxidant, low calorie, tons of flavor... I don't use recipes, but here's what's in it (i didn't masure amounts of things...) Vegetable stock, olive oil, lentils, spelt berries, extra firm tofu, carrots, celery, onion, diced tomatoes, fresh garlic, fresh ginger, turnip greens, fresh parsley, thyme, cumin (lots), cayenne pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, sea salt, black pepper, smoked paprika (lots), oregano, cilantro, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, agave syrup (small amount), tomato paste...So good!

Next week I plan to make a huge pot of chili...again, no recipe, just lots of different veges, lots of different beans, tofu, lots of spices, dark cocoa powder, etc...

that sounds like something i would make. lol. I have no concept of measuring items out. lol.

And guess what, the kid was hiding in the garage attic in a cardboard box. ahaha

you deff wont be dissappointed with the kashi oatmeal. Im amazed that I like it that much. I honestly can say that it would taste great with just some cold fat free milk on it. Like it says on the box, its hearty. I always hear about people putting PB in their oatmeal and I always though about pb in the quaker cereal and it really turned me off but with the kashi I have the urge to put a tbsp of natrual pb in it. I deff need to try the vanilla flavor.

well once I started my full time job it was no BF or if I did eat BF it was usually a pork roll and cheese on a bagel (i still get this once in a while), Lunch was always a cup of ramen noodles, dinner I usually went out w. my b'f to get food at a fast food restraunt and Id match him in eating. Usually it was appietizer/meal/dessert. That was my normal day. I think for a good 1 1/2 - 2 yrs I ate like that and gained about 27 lbs. It was awful. I tinkered with this site at the beginning but never really understood the actual math of calorie counting.

Weight Loss Flat stomach Oct 14 2009

Original Post by anniepook:

If you enjoy swimming, this is a wonderful way to strenthen your torso, your lats, and your abs, and it's painless. Doing laps will naturally use the torso muscles, and you burn calories at the same time. i agree that the flat stomach thing is defined by one's diet and body fat, but while you are losing weight, you can feel better about toning your abs by swimming - if you enjoy it, that is.

I wish my gym had a pool. Im tempted to join a Y so I can go swimming.

Fitness Convinced on HIIT, But How Do I Change Over Oct 09 2009

you can start HIIT with 30sec of sprint/vigorous workout/ 90secs recovery w. moderate/light workout. do about 20 minutes of this and you should be out of breath when your done.

I do 30/60 on a tredmill. sometimes for my 60 i'll jog lightly.

Foods Smart Ones - Are they really? Oct 07 2009

If you dont have sodium problems or blood pressure its not bad and I wouldnt worry about it. Smart ones are actually my lunch of choice this week cause they were on sale. I like the mini pizza and I have the ravioli florintine to make still. They did fail with the mac and cheese though that was completely tasteless but filling. All the prepackaged meals usually are high in sodium you cant escape that.

Foods Who else here HATES the taste of natural peanut butter? Oct 07 2009

Original Post by samanthasuerte:

Lucky for you and all of us that 'hate' something good for us or are trying to 'quit' something that our taste buds are constantly changing. Sounds like a solid case of sugar addiction that you have. You can beat it in three-5 days of kind of sucky days if you want and then your new taste buds will be revealed within 10 days to 3 weeks. By 10 days to 3 weeks, you will munch on a lettuce leaf and TASTE what you couldnt before! Natural peanut butter (DO buy it organic and freshly ground at a place with many customers fro freshest taste if possible). Check n make sure NOTHING that you buy in a package contains high fructose corn syrup- breads (try Exekiel breads and toast!) and stick to dried fruit when you are really needing a sugar fix. After a few weeks, even dried fruit will be TOO sweet to your new taste buds.

Good luck! (Look more into sugar addiction- its VERY interesting!)

I kind of like this theory, I absolutely cant stand veggies. They come off as being too bitter. I can eat things like cooked carrots, corn, green beans, and spinach but anything eles is just gross to me and I instantly gag or throw up.

as to the subject in this post, I find natrual PB the best thing ever. Cant even compare to commercial crunchy pb.

It sounds like you have just started exercising. As long as you have an elevated heart rate and you are completely drenched by the time your done then you should be fine. Later when the elliptical seems to not be challenging enough for you try something new like running if you dont have knee problems or spinning. You said you take kickboxing? Do you belong to a gym?
