Good morning. Congrats JMH, your soup did sound yummy!

I'm down almost as much as I was up last week. 165.5 still up .5 but whatever. I'm still eating well but have to figure out how to cook when eating with my man. Before I met him it was just me and the kids. I would make 2 different meals. My light meals wouldn't be enough for him. I'm moving in with him in about month so I guess I still have time to figure it out.

What motivated me to lose weight...After marrying a loser and having 3 kids my weight was up to 204. When I figured out how unhappy I was with my weight and my husband I decided it was time to lose them both! I started running. When I got down 10lbs I told him it was time to move out. Still not divorced, after 4 years, because I couldn't afford a lawyer. Now we can agree on enough that we can divorce without a lawyer.

What has kept me going...knowing how great it feels to be thin and healthy. I got down to 154 last year(been at least 15 years since I'd seen that weight) I felt so good. I will see the 150's again

Hey guys sorry I haven't logged in much.  Busy busy you know. I've been eating well but still not enough water or exercise. I'm not going to beat myself up over the exercise because chasing my 3 kids around is an all day workout. I' am going to make more of an attempt to get on the elliptical this week. I'm aiming for 3 days.

Keegan, I've never heard of your beach ball workout. I'll have to give it a try.

JMH, took me a lot of pounds lost to notice a difference but since I gained back 10 in the last last year, I can see a huge difference.

Marlies, right, 30 minutes is better than nothing. I'm still struggling to get in 30.

Today my son's scout group marched in the Remembrance Day parade. I was cold but nice. I've never been part of my towns ceremony. We walked a bit but kids have little legs, they walk slow. I'm in the middle of folding mountains of laundry. I hate it but somebody has to do it.  Gotta figure out what I'm cookin for dinner tonight too...Guess I should get back to it.

Morning everyone. Congrats to Crazy! I weighed in today. Apparently I've gained 3lbs since Thursday. Not possible. I had a great weekend and calories were good. TTOM due to arrive today so the cause of weight gain maybe. Hope weigh in goes better for you Keegan.

Marlies, I'll have to think about the prize question. Not sure, Did have a wicked seafood salad this weekend.

Morning! Just dropped 2 kids off at school. My 5 year old only goes 3 days a week so she is here with me. For exercise yesterday I spent 4 hours moving everything in my living room. Not sure I like it, might have to move it all again today. Have been doing well eating just need to find time to exercise!

I live in British Columbia(furthest province west). Canada's only dessert. Brrr  can't tell that right now. About 20 minutes for the Canada/US border. I love it here. I haven't been very far travelling in Canada(Alberta and Saskatchewan) and in the US through Washington, down the Oregon coast and just the very tip of California. Many places I want to go but it will have to wait till my kids are older.

Marlies, I hope your day gets better.

Way to go on your 40 minutes Crazy! Finding the time to exercise is always a struggle for me. Never enough time in the day. I don't work tomorrow and the kids are all in school so it's a me day. Hopefully I'll find time to do something.

Only exercise for me yesterday and today was work. Not working up a sweat or anything but on my feet for 8 hours straight gotta burn a few calories right?

Hi from Canada

I'm 32. A single mom of 3. Love them to death but they drive me nuts sometimes. I have fallen head over heels for a wonderful man. I've never been this happy. He's great with my kids too. I'm 5'9, 165lbs. Trying to get down to 150. See how I feel from there. Will most likely want to lose a bit more. Been losing and gaining for the past 4 years. Highest weight was 204, lowest 154.

Hardest partfor me is be consistent. So hard to be healthy all the time. I'm going to try my best to stick with it. I want to lose this weight

It's not pretty and it's my own fault. I'm in it today for good. no more slacking. I want this. I need to stop saying it and do it. Calories today-1500 NO MORE. Elliptical immediately after work. no excuses. I will log what I eat, period.

My free day, no kids no work. It's raining but I am stressed! $$$ I hate it. Never have enough. But at least it got me out. was going to go for a run but there is construction everywhere. I went roller blading down a path by the river...till I found more construction. Anyway, I got in about 30 minutes and cleared my head a bit. I feel like I can do this. hopefully this feeling lasts

I have completely lost it. Not in a good way. 170 this morning. That sucks. I need to do this. How do iI get my motivation back? It should be back, seeing that number. Just makes me more frustrated than anything. Canadian Thanks giving :( Another turkey dinner tonight. I love hanging with my family, I need to stay away from the food.

I'm not completely miserable today. I'm totally head over heals for my man.

Off to work. I guess being on my feet all day is burning the calories right and paid time and a half today is good too.

did pretty good on my goals today. half a$$ed my way through 30 day shred and bailed on the elliptical completely. But, calories were good protein and fibre are pretty good too. watered all day now wine.

I went to the dr. today because my jaw has been hurtin for a few weeks. Apparently I have tmj syndrome. He gave me anti inflammatory meds. hopefully once the swelling is gone I will be able to chew again.

Life is crazy and I'm enjoying far too much. I need to find the time to exercise and plan my meals ahead. I'm just so happy with everything else around me that I let the "diet" slip. My bf is coming over later. He's done school so is now back in town. I am filling out the paper work to file for divorce. We've been separated for 4 years.I'm sooo happy that it is finally happening.

Tomorrow I will 

  • drink water water and more water
  • elliptical for at least 30
  • 30 day shred before the kids wake up
  • 60g protein minimum
  • 25g fibre minimum
  • aim for 1600 cals

Hey ladies, thanks for the happy birthdays. It was good. Too much drinking while camping this weekend. Too many calories the past 2 days. And now a bladder infection...Not exercising right now. Going to the dr. in a bit. Never had one before. Ouch.

Yiscah, your pumpkin bars sound good. May have to try them

Lynn, I'd miss my kids too if they were so far away. Where do you find you protein water mixes? I've never seen them. the boot camp sounds fun. Wish i had something like that here

Hey ladies

I'm back from camping, it's my birthday and I'm only up .5 a pound from Friday. 164.5 YAY! Camping was so much fun. Too much beer but hey, was my vacation.

Goals goals goals

Well, protein is my most difficult lately. Will aim for 80g daily. 100+oz water. exercise of some sort at least 3 times this week. I will lose at least 1lb this week. I can do it!

lynn- I need to get a DVR  so i don't miss it again. I hadn't seen my guy in a week so he beat out watching BL. 831 burned wow. I really need to get my butt moving

so didn't make my goals today but still not bad. steps-5650 deficit-622 water-104oz protein was only 56g need to figure out how to work that in. Maybe I'll pick up some protein powder on payday. sodium was a bit on the high side but could be worse. I did get out with the kids tonight. They rode their bikes and I kept up! Fun!

I keep sabotaging myself. I'm still 166.5. Same as last month! Better than gaining i guess.

I'm ready for BLC. I found a step counter. Came from a cereal box. Not my good one, don't know where that one went. hopefully the cereal counter works

I'm aiming for 7500 steps, 750 cal deficit and 100+oz water.

morning

After 3 days of eating 2000 cals and too much sodium I'm up 3lbs. 166 today. I have been bailing on all my plans to lose the weight. Seeing the weight go up kicked my @ss. Did 30 day shred(I will be sore tomrrow) and elliptical. There will be dancing later today too. My cousin is getting hitched today. gotta watch my food but It's gonna be fun

gonna have to find where I put my pedometer. Gotta be here somewhere.

my ideal came up as 146. was aiming for 150.  The lowest number I've made it to was 154 and I was happy there. Felt good but I couldn't hold it. Seemed I gained 6lbs over night then I kept gaining instead of losing. That's why I'm back in the 160's now. The 140's seem so far away...

rebel, your lunch idea sounds yummy. I've never thought of wrapping up cottage cheese.

rebel- my scale is hard to trust sometimes too.

cricketro- I wish I could lose and not count. I suppose it will happen like that someday. and thanks for the tip. will try that next shopping day

amandie- I drank the same thing at a bbq this weekend. first time having vanilla vodka. YUM

Lynn- I like your exercise plan. My problem is sticking to one. I'm gonna try this week though.

Maybe something like this is doable for me

  • 45 minutes elliptical 3X
  • 30 day shred 5X
  • 100+ crunches
  • 50+ push ups
  • 100 squats

I'll try anyway.

kids started school today. Yay. The end of summer fighting was driving me nuts. Gotta go register them for dance classes tonight. Keep em busy. no time to fight. Had so much fun with J this weekend. His birthday in a couple days. What gifts do you give when it's a new relationship. My bday is the 21st. We are going camping with some of my friends the weekend before. Can't wait.

I'm trilled with my weight. bout time i see some weight coming off. I've had a very romantic weekend. Seems to be going well with J. I met him(again)at his brothers wedding in august. We have a lot in common and have fun together. He has a job and goes to school.
