Ahhh Carol.  I'm sorry.  I know exactly how you feel.  I am with you, I would love to get off 10 by Christmas, but I'm not naive enough to think that will happen.  I'll take 5.  We can do it.  Hang in there!!

I am exactly the same as last week.  I will take it I guess since I did indulge 4 days in a row in my boss's leftover halloween candy that was sitting in my office.  I didn't even try to resist.  I was BAD.  Oh well, today is a new day and I will do better.  I sent the rest of the candy home with one of the guys so it won't be there to tempt me next week.  Didn't do much working out this week either.  My knee has been bothering me so I took it easy.  I did unload about 50 pieces yesterday and went for a couple of walks. 

Kate - pizza is fab isn't it!!  I indulged in a lovely slice myself last Friday night.  It was really good.  Oh yeah, and a piece of cheese covered garlic bread.  Oh my.  You and Danielle with those long runs, impressive ladies.  We are headed to Cabo.  We have been down there a few times at Thanksgiving and really enjoy it.  While you guys are eating turkey and dressing, I will be eating fish tacos with my toes in the sand Innocent.

Carol - I think you are doing the right thing....take it easy and listen to your body.  If you are up when you weigh, you know what to do to get back where you want to be.  Good luck on the job hunt.

KBella - Did I miss something?  I thought you had found a job.  Maybe I am delirious from lack of nutrition, ha!

Danielle - I am with you on being back in the game.  I just realized that I am going to Mexico in just over 2 weeks!!  Urgh!  I will be fine and will wear my bathing suit no matter what, but really, losing a couple pounds would be great!!  I have been SOOOO bad this week that I am scared to step on the scale tomorrow but I will, I need the slap in the face.

Well, lets start with the good news.  I did a TJ workout T-W-Th this week and went for short walks all three of those days (I have to get the dog back in shape before I can take a long walk with him).  Loaded up trucks one day and unloaded beds one day.  I also ate VERY well every day with no junk.  Now the bad news.  I am up one pound.  It's OK, I will continue to eat well and exercise and the scale will do what I want it to.....eventually.

I actually managed to load 2 trucks at work today (have been stuck in the office for the last few weeks) AND I came home and did a new Turbo Jam ball workout.  I probably won't be able to move tomorrow....I haven't exercised in months! 

Kate - You go girl.  I don't know how you can give up your diet soda.  It is my friend and I refuse to give it up.  Is it bad for me....probably.  Do I care, not in the least :).  I have one every morning when I get up to kick start my day and often have another one at lunch.  The rest of the time I drink water so it works for me.  I figure I lost 80 lbs while still enjoying my diet soda so what the heck.  As for eating, so far so good, of course I am only on day 2 of being good again.

KBTN - good for you on the loss and the running!  That is great!!

Danielle - I think you should just bite the bullet and get on the scale.  You will either see that you are on track and know that you can continue as you have been or you will see that you need to watch the snacks better (cuz you can't kick up the exercise, you are already a freaking running machine!!).

Glad you are feeling better KBella!  How was the chocolate festival?  That sounds like something I would LOVE!

I was near the top of my range on Friday morning, 137.6.  I am back on the wagon this morning and will make a good effort for the week and see how it goes.

Monkeyfish - welcome back.  I also need to add in some exercise.  I haven't been doing much at all.  My weight is stable (need to drop about 8 lbs to get down to my low goal that carol has inspired me to) but my measurments are going up, up, up and I can feel it in my pants.  So, that is what I know I need to do.....and maybe I will find the inspiration to actually do it!

Hi Ladies.  I will be out of town tomorrow attending my hubs grandfathers 100th birthday party so I am posting now.  I realized that I didn't post last week....I was stunned by the number on the scale and had carpet being installed so I was swamped.  Last Friday when I weighed in I was up 10 lbs to 144.  I had hoped to never see the 140's again, but I knew there was no way I had gained 10 lbs of fat....I hadn't been drinking my water (bad, I know), it was TTOM and I had eaten pizza the night before.  All this on the heels of a fabulous week of vacation and then a week being a little piggy with my birthday as my excuse.  As of today I am back in my comfort zone at 137.  Hopefully I will keep heading downward to get back to the lower end of my range in the next few weeks.  I hope you all have a great weekend!

I will admit that my protein is low sometimes and I have to work on that.  If I am hungry when I get home from work I will eat 7 or 8 almonds and that will tide me over for the hour or so until dinner is ready.

I'm pretty sure my dietary habits should not be duplicated...but here goes for the work week:

Breakfast - Fiber one chocolate chip bar (yum!!)

Snack - 100 cal bag of popcorn

Lunch - Huge Veggie Salad with Red Wine Vinegar & RF Club Crackers & often RF cheddar cheese

Snack - Apple

Dinner - Chicken (normally), squash, zucchini, onion, green pepper, tomato...maybe some marinara sauce or parmesan cheese

PM Snack - oatmeal with pb or baked fruit with a little brown sugar and FF reddiwhip or some other sweet thing

I normally eat 1400ish when I am trying to lose and around 1800-1900 when I am not (that doesn't happen very often Embarassed

Happy Friday everyone!  Hubs and I are still in Boston so no weigh in for me.  I will not be getting on the scales again until next Friday.  I need a week to try to get some weight off.....I have enjoyed myself this week.  I am happy to say that the first time I thought about calories was this morning.  That's pretty impressive I thought, usually I am making a mental tally of everything I put in my mouth.  Who knew that fudge would be everywhere up here.....penuche fudge is the absolute best thing ever.....I hadn't ever heard of penuche so it was new to me.  The really funny thing is when I make fudge, I taste it and then it can sit there for a couple of weeks and I never touch it again.  Go figure.  Hope you all have a good weekend.  We are headed home to get the doggie tomorrow....I've missed him!!

Hi Ladies....well, we drove in to Boston this morning and spent the day walking around the Freedom Trail.  It was VERY cool.  I forgot the list that Danielle prepared for me but we are going to go back Monday or Tuesday and follow her instructions to areas off the Trail.  We ate some good Italian food for lunch and then had chowda and bisque for dinner (we shared).  It was a great day!  We are considering some day trips toward the end of next week, we just don't know where to yet :).

Welcome to the new ladies.  Danielle - enjoy your Mom being in town....let her spend lots of money on you!

Yeah KBella!!!  Welcome to the 130's!!   Thanks for the vacation greetings, I am looking forward to seeing more of the US for a change.  I haven't traveled that much in the states so we are trying to change that.

I was down 1.6 this morning to 134.4.  I'll take it.  I am at the airport now headed off to Boston.  Danielle gave me a great list of things to do so I know Hubs and I are going to have a great time.  I am looking forward to cool weather and lots of walking!  It is really great being healthier.  The airport security checked my ID and looked at me and said, you've lost weight, good for you.  I love that feeling!

I was going to recommend what Vcarrie did.  If you know you want to snack in the evening, just save some cals for the end of the day and then it isn't a problem.  I always have enough left for a dove promise or a cup of hot cocoa or something in the evening.

Danielle....you might weigh 158 but you are 158 lbs of toned muscle, not jiggly fat.  I think I would take your toned 158 over my jiggly 135ish any day! Enjoy your chips and salsa and beer guilt free!!

I love candy corn too!  I saw some at the store yesterday and somehow resisted buying it....they had some weird flavors that looked like they were worth a try too, toffee, chocolate, caramel.  Yummy!  If I go to a Halloween party this year I think I will take a variety of kinds in a cute dish and then I can try them and leave the rest there at the end of the night.

Carol - I know how frustrating it is to eat right and see the scale go up.  Hang in there, it will get better and Danielle is right, other people don't notice 4 lbs on us at all.

I was down this morning as well.  I was VERY VERY good over the weekend and hope to be all week this week so that I am down again on Friday morning and then I can start vacation with most of my buffer in place.....

Great job ladies!  I'm impressed that you are making progress.  I am up 2 lbs, but I deserve them.  Had a lovely 4 day weekend last weekend with the hubby and ate like crap, it was wonderful!  I was also not very active.  I was hoping the peiod weight would leave me, but no such luck.  So, I am back at the top of my happy zone.  On a positive note, I did pick up a dozen or so pieces from the tailor yesterday that I finally had altered.  I figured since my weight had been stable since last November (within 5 lbs) that it was time to salvage what I could of my favorites.  I have to be good this weekend and next week because we are going to Boston for a week next Friday so I have to get down a couple of pounds so I can relax and enjoy myself while we are on vaca.  Have a great weekend everyone!

The best fudge I ever had was creme brulee fudge that we got from a little town outside of Melbourne Australia.  It was fantastic.  I rationed it out for a week to make it last as long as I could!

It was NOT a good weigh in for me.  I am up 2 lbs from last Friday.  It is TTOM and I am sore from unloading 3 loads of beds yesterday.  Hopefully that is most of it.  I haven't eaten crazy so it should go away in a week or so.  I hope so.  Very frustrating!  I hope it was better for the rest of you!

Carol - I feel your pain on the boobs.  Mine have been coming out of my bra for a few days and I couldn't figure out what was going on....it never dawned on me that it was TTOM.  I thought I had another week, alas, I do not (sorry if that was TMI).  At least I know what is going on there....now I don't want to weigh in on Friday, I know it will be up a pound or two and that is SOOO discouraging!

Edit to add:  It also explains why I was on a carbfest all weekend Laughing
