jeslnn - No, he never has.  He knows that I'm the most stubborn person and I grew up Pentecostal Christian.  I do go to "memorial" services if someone he knows or his family knows died, and I did go to their version of easter this last year, but that was just to be nice to his family.  His family has never even really tried to convert me, but all of their family friends do.  Like asking questions about what I believe, then trying to convince me I'm wrong?!  It is crazy how much time they spend "witnessing" and going to "meetings" and such.  The hall that his family goes to is so.... weird.  Maybe they are all like that.  All the kids only play with JW's, they are all homeschooled, and the adults mostly hang out with only JW's.  They have it set up so that if you get in trouble and get disfellowshiped, you can't talk to any JW's, which means you can't talk to anyone at all cuz they are all that you know!  talk about depressing.  I think its totally wack.

I love this post.  My husband is a JW, so are my inlaws.  I try to explain to them how I feel it is rude that they knock on doors, disturbing what little sanctuary people get from the world these days, to let other people know what THEY believe.  Let the people come to you.  If someone wants religon, they will look for it.  Have a billboard or something.  Don't come knock on my door.  Outside of the door knocking they are pretty nice folk, but shoot man!  I don't want to answer my door to tell you to leave, I don't want to hear the door bell, I don't want you on my property uninvited, and that is my belief -- respect that foo!

On another note, I have corrupted my husband with the wonderfulness of holidays.  Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Halloween, Easter.  You know they eat turkey and such on Christmas and Thanksgiving, like the actual day, but since they don't SPECIFICALLY call it by the holiday name, they are not partaking in a PAGAN holiday?

My husband and I had been married only a few months, and we were visiting one of his friends I had never met before.  I can't recall what we were talking about, but it was light converstation, friendly and fun.  His friend started to say something, but he was stuttering.  I thought it was a joke, so I said, "Why don't you j-j-j-just spit it out?!?!"  His friend looked at me realllllly funny, and my husband told me, "Uh, Ophelia, he has a stutter.  That was hella rude!"  I felt like such a jerk!  The guy was nice enough to laugh it off, since he knew it was in good humor but man, I still get crap about that one to this day.

Another time, we were visiting a couple we had known for a long time, who happened to be pregnant at the same time as us, down to the due date.  We went over to visit, and the husband was playing some video games.  He made some smart comment to me, and so I looked up at him and noticed he had a huge kool-aid smile (like when you drink way too much cherry kool aid)  I (being my charming self) retorted with, "Ok, whatever you say KOOL AID MOUTH! HAHAHAHAHA"  He got a sad look on his face and was like... "its not kool aid.  I have really bad chapped lips."  I didnt beleive him so I went on with it until my husband explained to me that he really did have super bad chapped lips and it was not funny.  I kept my mouth shut for a long time after that.

I laugh about it now but I think a little bit more before I open my big mouth.

Late uncle was named Richard, who prefered to go by "Dicky".  Last name? Butts.

When I was a swim instructor, I had a student with the last name "****" Try calling parents by the last name with that one. Oi.

I like my middle name, I really wanted to change my name all thru school.  It's Alayne - like elaine, just spelled different.

Tristan is my son's name, and I love it.

Some people are just naturally really skinny.  My husband, as well as his older sister, are insanely skinny.  They have the chest bone that shows, and the thing is, they eat more than I do and I am still 30 lbs over weight.  Their entire family is just plain skinny, and there is nothing they can do about it.  Husband is usually about 6'2 and 150lbs, but at his highest weight was 170 but eating six fast food meals/protien shakes a day and rock climbing for 2-4 hours 5 days a week.  He stopped working out and lost all the weight.  My poor sister in law looks like nicole richie at her worst, but the girl can't gain weight.  Yeah she could eat gangloads of fatty foods and what not but that is not near to healthy.  The point is, she at 5'7 and 100 lbs and DH at 6'2 and 150 lbs are both healthy people who DO in fact eat what any other reasonable person would eat, often more so.  I think that picking on people who happen to be in the spotlight who are more than likely there because of their ablitly to maintain the physique required by their occupation is a waste of time.  People who are looking for a pro ana role model will find it, whether it be an actress, or their next door neighbor.

just a thought.

Charmin ultra with aloe - something like that.  not linty, strong, and cleans well. soft on the booty.

Try the Aquafresh extreme clean.  it gets all foamy in your mouth and cleans little nooks and crannies.

My parents have two.  One is jumpy, has attacked my son, my dog, and is just obnoxious.  The other is skittish, but very sweet and quiet once she gets to know you, but is jealous of my mother because the dog thinks she is the Alpha female - read: she pisses on my mom's stuff.

They are both rescues, so that could have something to do with it.  When we were growing up we always had some kind of Husky.  Wolf/husky mix - best dog we ever had, she taught me and my siblings how to crawl. no lie.  Husky/Swedish elkhound mix - great sweet dog.  super obedient, nice, never bit anyone.

I wouldn't get a full bred one.  They just aren't like our mixes were.

That is so sick.  It makes me cringe.  Its sad how these girls looked at someone else's life/face/whatever they saw when they looked at her as something that had so little value that it deserved not a modicum of respect.  The fact these young adults had NO remorse in jail, cracking jokes about cheerleading practice?  How sick.

If that was my kid beating another person nearly to death, and then putting online for the world to see as if it was a video of a science project or something innocent to be proud of, I would be ashamed of myself as a parent that I had not done my job to teach my kid morals and the difference between right and wrong.

I hope these girls at least get some time in a real prison.  They'll realize they aren't that tough after some of the women in prison hear about what they did.

I love to eat, and sometimes watching her show makes even me nauseous.  Bacon wrapped, deep fried macaroni and cheese?

Ew. I just cant imagine eating everything fried!  I used to live in the South, and even then it wasn't crazy fried food all the time.  She IS adorable though.

2) Its been said a couple times, but knowledge download would be awesome!

3) A limitless bank account, just for me, Ophelia Butts.

Bra can show a lil.  I wore a black tank top with a purple and black bra today, and rocked some purple eyeshadow to pull it together.  Am I white trash? No. BUT seriously, no strapless bra is gonna hold these puppies up, and I might as well add a little color rather than be boring.

Today I am 167.5 so I am down 2.5 from last week!

Way to go ladies!  I wonder how much weight we have all lost together.  It would be amazing to see!  I have almost "lost" my toddler (2.5 lbs to go!) and I have "lost" my dog 3 times over.

slenderbutts way to go!!! is that all you did to lose that much in a months time???

well I count my cals now too lol!  I was WAY overeating before.  I used to eat alot of fast food, and sodas.  I also used have an alcohol problem, and I drank 2-3 bottles of wine a night, which really slows your metabolism down.  I think stopping drinking has helped me ALOT. I eat about 1500 cals a day and I do cardio everyday in addition to play dates and trips to the park now.  My son has inexhaustible energy, or so it seems, so I hardly stop moving.  I just recently stopped working to stay home with him, so I am sure that is adding to it.  It seems that making lifestyle changes and sticking to a diet plan has made the pounds melt off!

I have lost 22 lbs. I dont have any pics but, I did stop drinking alcohol all together, no soda, and I drink a GANGLOAD of water every day, around 6 liters. I also do cardio for 40-60 min daily and I run around after my toddler all day lol..  I have gone from 190 to 167.5 in about a month and a half.

I will put up pics later today, so check tonight!

My 20 month old son is notorious for stealing my car keys/cell phone/other important non heavy stuff and hiding it.  Usually I can find the missing item in the trunk of his ride-on airplane, or in a cabinet, or in his toy box.  On more than one occasion, I have had to call in to work or change plans because A) keys are missing, and B) he cant tell me where he hid them!  Well, one day I called my husband pissed cuz I could not for the life of me find my keys.  I thought maybe, just maybe I wasn't crazy and he accidentally took them.  Of course he had not.  So I call in to work, and get yelled at.  Later, I was doing laundry because I was stuck at home, and GUESS WHAT?

My keys were in the jeans I was wearing the night before.

Bad Mommy!  Although it CAN be exciting finding out the new places that he likes to hide things.
