You are doing fine, we all have setbacks and issues with motivation from time to time. The key is to never give up on yourself. There will be times that you weight loss will seem to stop or that you even gain some weight. The best thing to do is to keep a food journal so that you can see what you are eating and when, make some small adjustments and you will be back on track. Keep exercising and your head up. with a little effort you will be at your goal before you know it.

It is important to remember that you shouldn't try to gain weight by eating alone. You need sufficient calories from a healthy diet and weight training to add muscle in the areas that you want it.

If you are gaining in the middle then you are probably not eating the right foods or too much of the right foods without exercise.

If you are trying to gain weight then do very little cardio and mostly weight training to shape your body. But don't get discouraged...this will take some time!! Muscle take longer to grow than fat storage. With patience and perseverance, you will get the body that you want.

Fitness Stretches for shins? Mar 25 2008

There are very limited ways to stretch the facia of the "shin" muscles. I have been playing rugby for the last 18 years and have recently started getting pain in my shins from running. This is a very common thing for those that run or walk over time.

In October I went to a sports specialist at the University of Virginia, and was told to goto a running specific store (you can find them in any city) and purchase a "STICK". You use it like a rolling pin on your muscles before and after workouts. I was sceptical at first....but it works.
