Your Max is 198

50% is 99

70% is 138

so your range is 99 to 138.

You don't want to over exert yourself because then you may get discouraged.

I eat them everyday - just plain. I eat the black pitted lindsay olives.  They are like 75 calories for 12 olives.  They are quite filling.  I hope they are healthy - I'd hate to have to give them up!

Fitness Target Heart Rate Issues....HELP!!?? Mar 12 2008

This helped me.

a person's target heart rate should be 50 to 70% of his or her maximum heart rate.

This maximum rate is based on the person's age. An estimate of a person's maximum age-related heart rate can be obtained by subtracting the person's age from 220.

For example, for a 50-year-old person, the estimated maximum age-related heart rate would be calculated as 220 - 50 years = 170 beats per minute (bpm). The 50% and 70% levels would be: 50% level: 170 x 0.50 = 85 bpm, and 70% level: 170 x 0.70 = 119 bpm Thus, moderate-intensity physical activity for a 50-year-old person will require that the heart rate remains between 85 and 119 bpm during physical activity.

You can purchase weight workout DVDs and work out at home using the weights you already have.  I have been working out to Jari Love's Ripped DVD as well as doing cardio on my elliptical trainer or stationary bike. You really don't have to join a gym to work out. Good luck to you!

I have an elliptical trainer and stationary bike. I also have various weights, exercise balls, resistance bands and a step platform (from the firm)  I have always worked out at home.  I tried joining a gym once and it just did not work out for me.  I like exercising in the privacy of my home and it is so convenient. I also have various work out DVDs.

 Thanks
