Think of your future do you want to live like this always ?

I was pregnant when this first happened to me . So I put up with this. Now it's going on 21 years .... not knowing if this is the night that he won't come home. My husband may only do it 2 or 3 times a year  NOW, but you never know when. He knows he has a problem with beer. He drinks everynight which is okay if hes home. We can't go anywheres because he has to be drinking. I'm a real fun sucker to his friends.  My drunk doesn't turn into a monster he falls asleep. He's spent a few nights in the woods quading drunk.

And I always thought drinking and driving was when a person drinks then drives...My husband seldom drives without a beer in his hand unless he is going to work.
The Lounge What do you call your mother-in-law? Jul 13 2007

I was  close to my mom whom died when I was very young so I feel strange calling someone else mom, so I call my MIL  by her first name unless on paper than it's mom but then I sign all our names. My MIL asked to be called NANNA by our kids but my husband told her we already had a nanny goat whom the kids loved and called NANNA. So she's Grandma. Grandma leaves far away and nevers calls or writes and only has seen the kids maybe 5 times.  I grew up hating the word DAD no love between us... so I got  our kids to call their father PaPa and he really likes it. Our kids are 15 and 19 now and still calling him PaPa.

I actually thought the buttons were cute. you pop them in the holes on the top of your shoes . But I like funky things. I made a bracelet out of the metal parts of broken wooden clothes pins for my teenager to wear.

Sounds like fun. I too was too shy to try one out in public ... figured for sure I would break it or just look like a stupid fat lady on display. I think I'll get myself one for Easter.

I have a brother in law that has to grunt whenever he lifts anything. We all have a good laugh at him . Get him to lift one end of a couch and he is grunting . Oh yes he works out... I can't image being in the same room with him when he is working out. The funny thing is he may be strong at lifting weights but when moving other things he's a joke. He was helping my husband move a freezer and I had to take over for him AND he thinks he's in better shape than everyone else.

The Lounge Costumes for Halloween... what are you going to be? Oct 04 2006

when I was around 20 and fairly thin  I went as the fat lady at the circus. I made a short dress with wires in it to look big and I wrapped quilt batting around my arms and legs with flesh tone panty hose over top I wore gloves to cover my hands and a scraf around my neck. A group of us went as circus performers it was fun . I think I weighed 135 pounds and no way was I dressing in a skippy outfit I felt way to fat for that !

This year I am going to dress rather scary ...I am having an extreme halloween party for my teenage daughter I 've been busy turning my garden into a graveyard...I even turned my scarecrow into the grim reeper.
