Ok, here we go. A lot of my reasons will be echoes of what others have said, but I'm gonna say them anyway. 1. No more chub rub! 2. No more ruined jeans. 3. I want my husband to be able to pick me up without staggering or saying "really honey, you're not that heavy" as he sets me down quickly and tries to hide a limp as he walks away. 4. I want smaller boobs. My DDs make it hard to run, plus, I don't want my cousins to find my bras when I go over to their house and run around the house with my bra on their heads screaming something about being superman. 5. Fewer breathing problems. I have asthma, and I want to take some weight off my chest. 6. At age 16, I was diagnosed with an "insulin intolerance". I don't want that to turn into full diabetes. 7. I want to be able to take naked pics of me for my husband without looking like a big bag of pasty lard. 8. I want to wear the clothes in the front of the stores. 9. I don't want to hear the clerks in stores like Victoria's Secret look at me and say things like "oh, we don't have anything that big, you'll probably find something over at (insert plus sized store name here) 10. I want to wear thong underwear again. 11. I want to wear a swimsuit without a skirt on it. 12. I want to kill the extra chin(s). 13. I want stand up sex! (It's good if your guy can actually hold you up, really humiliating if he drops you or says "sorry honey, I can't hold you up any more" after about 30sec) 14. I want to wear the sexy lingerie for my hubby without feeling like the hippo in the tutu. 15. I want my boobs to hang out farther than my stomach (right now they're even) 16. My family is full of large people. There are people on both my mom's side and my dad's side with diabetes and high blood pressure/sugar. I don't want to end up like them. I love them to pieces, but it's way not healthy. 17. I don't want to be the token fat chick in the group. |

Stress makes you hungry, because there is some primal part of your mind that thinks like a hunter. If you can eat, you must be alright, cuz you're still strong, and still able to kick butt. Food is also comforting, mainly cuz you tend to eat the things that mom (or whoever did the cooking in your house) made when you were feeling bad (at least i do). We are conditioned to see food as some kind of security blanket (how many times did gramma give you a cookie after you skinned your knee?) Sorry to hear about the crud going on right now. Just think of this: it has to get better, right? It can't always rain. The sun will have to poke it's head out sometime. Good luck staving off the hunger beast. You can do it! |

| I'm actually hoping to lose a couple sizes off the girls. My DD's look proportionate (thankfully) on me right now, but I have about 75lbs to lose, and I don't want to stay a DD... That, and my husband prefers them smaller (go figure). I would be thrilled if I could get back to my B that I was in high school. | |||

| I started on the 24th, I am 5 ft 5 and approximately 210lbs (wince). I have a long way to go to get down to my target of 135, and I need friends to help me get there. I have virtually no friends locally (my best friend lives more than 1000 miles away from me (*cry). I need all the help I can get. I want to get as close to my goal as possible before summer. I'm eyeballing a sexy swimsuit for this summer and I would love to be able to wear it. | |||

Congratulations on only gaining 2 pounds, and having only 9 pounds to go. Sounds like you're almost there! I'm not sure how helpful my pep talk will be, considering that I only joined yesterday, and I still have a looong road ahead of me (I have 77 pounds to go. Here goes my smile-generating effort: GO TEAM TRIAXLETRIXY!!! You can do it, I know you can. |

Great job so far! Keep it up! I'm right there with keeping the goodies around. I have a tin of Hershey's Kisses sitting on my desk right now, so I can look at it and say, "ya know, I'd rather not". It gets hard sometimes, because my husband is sitting next to me with a bag of chips and dip, and I'm supposed to be on a diet, but my chocolate keeps telling me no. |
