1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (you can use nonfat/light whatever) 1/2 cup milk (you can use nonfat/light whatever) 1/2 cup to 1 cup Ice 1 small banana 1Tbsp natural peanut butter 1 scoop vanilla whey protein dash of nutmeg tsp of honey (I use local fresh honey) Blend it all in the blender, I do all the ingrediants first eacept for the banana, then after the other is mixe dI through it in. Can be High in calories, but if you use light and lowfat stuff, and you can leave out the peanut butter. still tastes yummo! |

mine is 5 and she eats what we eat, if she does not like it then then she can have a sandwich, I don't make her something else, and she has to try what we are eating. howver that being said I try to make stuff she will like too. Kabobs - she loves these (chicken, veggies we add a few pieces of pinapple, and then cook some brown rice. Turkey Tator Tot Casserole - favorite around the house. about 400 cal a serving Chicken Tacos - grilled chicken, green bell peppers and corn tortillas, with balck beans Turkey Burger - Jenni-O premade patties, wheat buns, I like a tablesppon of bluecheese on mine and mushrooms DD likes fat free american cheese. Wheat pasta and Marinera sauce with turkey italian sausage servered with a salad, I usually throw in some broccoli into the sauce too. Subway one night a week. Turkey Chili (Crokpot awesome recipe!) Pot of beans. Hope that helps get some ideas

been there done that and it sucks, but just stick to your schedule and don't stress about it :) I find it better if I plan my day on CC out in advance! I keep all my snacks at my desk, I even have abowl of fruit. I bring my own lunch and I let myself eat about once a week usually CFA or Potbelly since I can do ttheir nutritional info on line. I stay between 1300-1500 calories during the week and on Saturday I let myself have 1700-2000 but no more. If you liek hot chocolate try buying the diet or try decaf coffe with the chocolate coffee powder way less calories. It is hard to make the right choices and I screw up all the time but it is about getting back on track :)!!! |

WAY TO GO!!! great milestone!!!!!! Disney can be a big trap we go once a year to WDW. BUt on the good note, disney chefs are awesome the will actually prepare you meal however you need them to, and their buffets always have salads fruits, and some healthy choices like fish (but watch the estras like how it was prepared). At the buffets remeber portion control! and even the counter service places have healthier options like wraps (no dressing). On of my favorites is at Hollyowood studio Backlot Express and the have a turkey sandwich on wheat with carrot sticks. Here is website that has all the menus might be good to go in prepared :) http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm

As moderators you all should have a little more courtesy, I am not talking about starving myself or doing anything stupid. I know it is your jobs to police the board but you all need to learn how to talk to people instead of jump them. Maybe get all the facts first before critizing and telling someone what a bad idea it is. MY ORGINAL question was never answered and yes I did talk to my Dr. after I posted this but I was waiting on a call back and I just wanted to see what other people had done. I have been a member for over a year on here and have never had such rude judgemental comments, for all of your info I DO get my blood tested every month. I do see and endocrinologist along with an acupucturist. I do discuss this with both. I have hormonal problems and Infertility. So thank you very much for making feel even worse, All I said was the word detox and you all ASSUMED I was starving myself, no one bothered to ask what exactly I was eating or not eating or what the plan entails you all just ASSUMEd that I have no clue what I am doing. Sorry for asking a question I guess I will just keep to myself, This is suppose to be a support board . |

yes I know all this and it is not a crash diet this is a PRESCRIBED DETOX by a licensed holistic doc. This is not for weight loss this is for medical reasons. I did not ask for a lecture. I asked if it was okay to run 1 or 2 miles once I start back on veggies and grains. Thanks anyway. |

Wes – thanks I am struggling this week completely with running, have no motivation at all , I think I may take this week off and regroup this weekend. Mds – YEAH, that is awesome, I could not believe how far I had run kept having to look at my ipod, when I saw my results I did a little dance out on the track lol people probably thought I was nuts lol Ktomkie – Awe cool I will add you as soon as nike gets done upgrading their system (or whatever it is they are doing) – way to go on the 4K! Oreo – Nike + was a big motivator for me I am a visual person I loved seeing my runs add up, and being able to join different challenges is fun and appeals to my competitive streak lol |

I am trying to get to a 10K too, I have never really been a runner did some in HS and that was pretty much the last time, but my SIL got me motivated and I need to lose weight so I figured why not. I started witht the couch to 5K I did not follow it exactly just more as a helpful tool. I went and gotthe Nike+ tool love that It keeps my runs online and I can compete in challenges (they have ones for beginers so it is fun) http://nikeplus.nike.com/nikeplus/?l=runners,runs,70801086 Started at the end of Sept 08 first time out I could not even run 1/2 a lap around the track. next time I ran 1 lap, and I jept up the walk run scenerio. I was able to run my first 5K Nov 17, 08. I am now able to run 3 to 4 miles consistantly and last week I was able to run my first 5 mile run ever (felt amazing) and I am a slow runner about 11 min mile but still I was thrilled. But for some reason this week I am struggling to even get to 3 miles though I was going to pass out. 2 steps forward one step back. I need. I need some push to get to that 6 mile marker. GOOD LUCK!! and If I can do this you can too!!! |
