Hey everyone!  I'm a newbie - i've always hated running, but have been jealous of the people that go run just because  they love it so much  I did my first night tonight and think that this is actually something I can stick with - I felt like I was getting somewhere instead of running until i was out of breath and then walking being mad I couldn't walk anymore -

162 for me. Olivia it is on - However I can tell you right now, your muscle knocks me out of the water, I'm still "cuddly" or "fluffy" haha    Let me know what the challenge is!  I have my first day of inservice on Aug. 20 then start with kids the following Monday.  I'll have night class on Wed.  and I talked to my manager at the restaurant today and will be working on Thursday nights and Saturdays some time for awhile.  This will give me some time for myself during the week ( I hope)

To all of the other losers, I wish you well this weekend/ week -- I'm off for a little bar volleyball and a beer or two - it wouldn't be volleyball without it!  Here's to good choices the rest of the week, cheers! Cool

So I decided I was a bad kind of loser because I stopped checking in/ logging calories/ etc.  and started to get comfortable at 160ish.  Why make it this far to turn around and head in the wrong direction?   Being busy is no excuse for not taking care of myself I just need to figure out how to balance everything. I actually can't wait for school to start so I can get back in my routine and fit exercising in there somewhere.

I did get off of my ass today and walked 2.5 miles even though my feet hurt from working lastnight. (see I'm trying to not make excuses!)  and I weigh 162.  I have been between 160 and 164 up and down since June.  I feel like I may have wasted my summer vacation  but if I lost 18 during the school year last year, I can lose 15 more before my wedding day.  I loved the way I looked in the dresses I tried on, but wouldn't mind some nice arms in wedding pictures!

Sorry to hear about your car Olivia.  A woman I worked with got hers stolen a few nights ago. In a weird way, I'd almost rather have mine totalled than stolen, what a freaky violation ya know?

Ok I'm on my way to be a good loser!

Weight Loss Getting married? Aug 07 2008

I'm getting married in June 09.  I started CC in Feb and have lost 18 pounds -- it was a vacation goal more than a wedding goal at that point because I wasn't engaged at the time.  Now I have about 15 more to go to my final goal.  My fiance proposed in July on vacation, and that is enough motivation to get me to my final goal of 145.

I was at a bar with some friends a little over a year and a half ago watching the Cavs in the playoffs when I met my fiance.  I was talking to some old guy sitting next to me about the Cavs when my man came up and said something to the old guy. I misunderstood what he was saying (partly because of the loud bar, partly because of the beer ) so I looked at him like huh what?  We ended up talking the rest of the night and we are getting married next June!

Hey losers- just checkin in to let you all know i haven't fallen off the face of the earth.  Last week I was at an autism training all week which I really enjoyed. It got me motivated to want to get back in my classroom and get things rolling for the fall.  I worked pretty much all weekend with the exception of Friday night volleyball. This week I'm attempting wedding plans.  The date is official June 13 - so a little over 10 months away! We are going tonight to look at reception halls and are meeting with the priest on Thursday.   Olivia - congratulations on your anniversary! To everyone else feeling fat and bloated this week, join me on my couch because I haven't really moved much today.  I keep telling myself, I will get back in my walking routine. Which I will. I have been keeping an eye on my food but haven't been obsessive about the scale as I used to be. I need to get that back I think for more motivation. annnd.. I'm nervous to try on dresses...

I didn't intentionally work out today but I heavy duty cleaned my house and was definetly sweating my butt off then I babysat for the CUTEST 7yr old w/ autism and he loves going to the park so I walked to the park trying to keep up with him on his lil bike and then we took a walk to count cars later  i feel like it was atleast 1.5 mi. so I guess that activity is better than none at all right. Tomorrow will be my official how much weight did i gain on vacation weigh in.  I admit I have been a lil less OCD about my calories since I hit 160. I know I bounced back up again.  It's time to get ocd again to get the rest of the chub gone.   Olivia do you think its easier during the school year?  I feel like my routine is all outta whack!  I guess i need to work on a summer routine.

Good luck in the a.m. when the scale  is staring you back in the face all!

OK I wanna be a loser too! I will weigh in officially Friday morning because after my gluttonous vacation I know I went up a few pounds and have been avoiding stepping on the scale.  And I need a bunch of people to stay on me until I hit my final goal I'm shooting for 140, but will be pumped around 145 I think. I'm pumped now at 160something  but don't want to get too comfortable here!

Ok I'm back to get down to business! vacation rocked but unfortunately Jeffs camera broke day 2 so we went old school and got disposables!  My sister has a bunch on her camera and a few of the actual proposal.  I'm working on a picture of the ring as soon as I can get a camera that works to take it! My camera phone does not do it justice it just makes it look like a blur!   Another weekend rapidly approaching, and I'm going to my friends wedding out of town.  Which = hangover haha and hangover = hangover food!   I will do my best to do the old challenge of water for every cocktail. and there will be a whole lotta booty shakin goin on! Cool

Hey everyone - Welcome newcomers!! -- I am back from vacation and I have a rave!

I'm ENGAGED!!  So now I have new motivation to kick my ass back in gear for the final 15ish!  I'm not worried about the 3 pounds I gained on vacation because I feel like it should've been 40.  I ate alot of stuff - not all bad, just much larger dinners than I was used to.  We also did a lot of walking and stuff while we were shopping and enjoying the outdoors.  and of course I sat in the sun, with the tide splashing my feet, and read my book and got a tan!  It was a wonderful vacation, and now its time to get back to business.  I met my vacation goal so now I will work on meeting my ohmygosh I'm getting married goal!

I hope everyone is doing well and I will be around, just busy with work, friends weddings, and a training next week to get ready to go back to school! yikes!

I'm still around!  I have been working alot on the final crunch to get money for vacation!  I leave on Friday and of course mother nature has reminded me of the lovlieness of being a woman, so my determination of hitting 159 before the beach may be ruined by Flo. haha oh well   I'll check in the morning before we take off.  Who knows I may be suprised.

Congrats to everyone on their weight loss.  LR you are rockin!  I need to get my scale moving again.  Remind me when I get back from vacation!

so my hiking plan was foiled by the damn ohio rain. After the terrential down pour,  we ended up going to play putt putt and to the batting cages (who knew I was so sporty? haha)  I've always liked putt putt but I was cranking those balls in the batting cages!  SO I didn't get my hike in, however, I feel like jumping up and down with victory / touch down moves from beating jeff in putt putt and hitting up the batting cages was better physical activity than no activity.

Yesterday definetly got the water in, definety got the veggies in, definety got another monsoon of rain and didn't get the usual physical activity I hoped for.  I feel like this was one of my better weekends. But who invented pizza and made it taste so good??? ahhh he's the devil!

Just checkin in --

Last night was a lovely relaxing evening we made dinner in - and i think I ate enough green beans for everyone if they didn't get their serving in of veggies!  Then we hopped on Jeff's motorcycle and just rode for a while, stopped on the way home for ice cream but I had already walked earlier in the day for an hour  and my snack was well within my limit.

Today went shoppin with mom for some more vacation clothes. Shopping is so fun.  But now i'm trying to stop buying the inbetweenie clothes so I don't get stuck at this size and so I keep on going!!  Tonight another motorcycle ride planned to a park somewhere to get in a hike since my only cardio today was shopping haha.  I've been drinking water like crazy too so I think I'm well on my way to meeting this weekends challenge!

Good luck everyone -- what happened to Caro?

I'm a migraine sufferer too -  I would see a neurologist because you are having so many.  Some natural supplements are magnesium and feverfew to prevent headaches - sex is good for migraines, and look into Reiki.  Its a totally relaxing experience and most alternative medicine places would be able to send you in the direction of a Reiki Master. ( don't be fooled by the term, my reiki master is a mom of one of my students not some big buddah person - my migraines have definetly subsided with her help - I'm still trying to get the right cocktail of meds to stop mine all together! ) Good luck!

congrats on the 168!  wahooo and for the 30 total -  I agree with the its good being on your feet and running around after tables.  I don't usually realize how tired my legs are until I get home, or the next day!

here's my RAVE for the week -- I hit 160 finally which I haven't seen since the high school years and I think that was a few fleeting weeks around prom! haha so I went shopping for some clothes that fit and a new bathing suit for vacation - I'll be on the beach in less than a month.  I have lost 18 pounds since I started and wanted to hit 160 before I hit the beach. I wonder if i can walk the beach being in the 150s... even if it is the high 150s that would be pretty awesome! 3 more weeks to knock off a couple pounds Have a good week everyone

Hi guys -- just checkin in... aren't the weighted hoola hoops awesome... I tried those out at a gym I tried out a couple years ago. They were super fun! make ya feel like a kid, but definetly feel it after a short time!

Leopard where do you work with such crazy slave wages/ busy hours on holidays??  I just started waitressing/ maybe possibly thinking about bartending for some extra cash  and something to do while school is out for summer vacation  and I agree with the crazy hours and not being able to eat.  I when in today at 11. I ate my usual breakfast.  They asked me to work a double which wasn't really asking it was actually telling me I was working a double.  So inbetween tables I ate 3 potato skins. I had no time for any other snacks. I kept chugging water to keep myself alive while we were slammed, ate a chip here and there which I know was not healthy but the cooks were crabby and i didn't want to bug them for celery! haha and now its midnight and I'm home, drank a beer, and now I'm going to bed!     I could've stayed there and ate something else but didn't want any more restaurant food.  I could've packed something but didn't know I was working 2 shifts/ when or what I could scarf quickly between tables!

so there is my crazy work RANT!  RAVE  however, is the wad of tippage in my pocket.  followed by RANT - the damn bills in my mailbox when I got home from work Tongue out

Motivation Can't stick with anything... Help! May 30 2008

Stilltryin --- I'm middle school sped - my kids have been off the hook since spring break.  I definetly feel ya on the stress factor - and actually found that if I force myself to start walking when I come home, I feel more relaxed/ better afterwords because it gives me a chance to get some of my personal frustration out -- clear my head -- some days I've walked for 3 or 4 miles just because I needed to keep going!  Get through the rest of the year. But don't allow IEP season or stress to be a reason for you to get out of your exercise routine in the fall! Use your exercise as time for you and a stress reliever instead of another thing you need to fit in your day. I've always dreaded working out too, and now get mad at myself when I don't make time for myself to get a walk in.   Good luck!  ( I have 5 more days and I can't wait!! )

I'm with you all too. I'm only 25 and i've done jazzercise, curves, i have the firm dvds, hip hop abs,  power 90, ... who knows what else... 30 day shred (which i'm actually into doing now)   I love pizza and could eat pizza and pasta and wendy's classic combos every day of the week.  But one day I just got tired of my jeans getting tight and my shirts not laying right and my fat rolls sticking out over my jeans and enough was enough. I made a conscious decision that I would no longer shove things into my mouth because they were there.  I was looking online to see how many calories a girl my age/ size should eat a day and was planning on writing everything down and stumbled across CC.  This has been a Godsend for me because I have a computer on my desk at work and my laptop in my living room so there is no reason not to log in my food and keep track of what I'm eating.

Once I started to actually see how much thing were "worth" in my day it became like a competitive thing. It is me vs. the cal meter.  100 calorie packs are my favorite thing ever.  Rite bites chocolate chip cookies are delicious!  I now count out the tostitos and put them on a plate and leave the bag in the kitchen rather than blindly shoveling them in until I can't possibly fit another morsel in.  I'm consciously aware of what I'm eating and how much and that is what the change is.  I still eat my favorite foods. but now I ask myself, do I want 2 oreos or do I want a big dinner?  right now, the oreos just aren't worth it. I'm not a big fruit/ veggie person so this is extremely difficult for me. So like I said, I found that controlling the amount of what I eat and exercising has been the biggest factor for me.  I've lost 16 pounds since the end of February when I started.  I'm about halfway to where I wanna be.   Just keep in mind the reason why you started. Be consciously aware of what you are eating. Don't deprive yourself of eating what you have a taste for every now and again if it works into your calories.  Live your life! Throw away the "fat girl clothes" and refuse to by them in that size again!
