Oh Meg I envy you...going to breakfast at the beach!!! That sounds so relaxing! I am feeling better since "the flood" but not with my weight I am up 3 lbs. I just can't get myself back on track and I think I am in trouble with the holidays coming and all........ I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am still FANNING my bathroom and hoping for the best!! Will check back in later! |

Well girls I had such a horrible day that I did the ultimate bad thing. You know Pizza Hut has the deal on a large Pizza for $10.....well.....I just polished it off this morning. I told you guys how I am when stressed and boy was I stressed and still am. Today is the 5th anniversary of when my Daddy died and I tell ya it really doesn't get easier you just manage your emotions a bit better. So anyway I had planned on watching a movie and getting lunch with my poor little Mom but as it is I have to wash and dry about 1000 towells that I used to suck up water until I got the wet/dry vac but I swear the towells did more...anyway I left a fan going all night long and this morning it is still very damp. I know this all will have to be replaced if nothing else Mold could develop and thats all I need with Asthma. I am so sore from all that freezing cold water so my hands neck back and legs are killing me this morning.....THIS TO SHALL PASS... right ladies? lol Lucy hope all is well with you hon. Even with all this FUN I am dealing with I do have you on my mind. Oh Meg about the menopause, I think I am now over it. *crossing fingers* I haven't had a hot flash or a night sweat in months....good luck with that believe me I truly understand and I also did it hormone free. I did go on paxil I know that sounds odd but it really helped. Suz, You are right about the best thing is that we are all ok ! It is tuff and stressful when this sort of thing happens. I was thinking yesterday about the families that lose they're homes to floods tornadoes and such. Bless them all for being strong and restarting they're whole lives from nothing. At times I feel so weak the way I let things stress me out so very badly. Like I said before it definitley could have been worse...what if I had not been home! Ok friends I am through rambling and hope to be back soon with something amusing and carefree to chat about! Love ya all! soggycatwoman! |

Hi Everyone! Lucy, I hope that you made it through the weekend with peace in your heart. I know working will do some good in helping get your mind in another place if only for awhile. I have talked and thought of you and your family all weekend long. I wouldn't worry about the losing weight problems for a bit. Hugs to you and your family. Maybe soon I will ramble you into some laughter K? Ok girls on another note I was reading about this cinnamon and honey diet aide...It says you just boil a cup of water pour it in glass add a half teaspoon of powdered cinnamon and then add a teasppon of honey (after it cools). You drink half before breakfast and then the other half before dinner and or bedtime.... This is supposed to help decrease your appetite somehow...I thought yeah sure but then saw something on GMA about cinnamons effects on decreasing hunger so now I am curious, I mean what could it hurt to try it. I don't usually go for these kind of things but wondered if any of you have heard of this before? Have a good week everyone! |

Lucy, many many hugs coming your way. I am so very sorry for the sadness I know you are feeling. Take comfort in knowing that your Mom is truly in a better place and as I have said before don't you know Heaven is even brighter right now. Aly, no thanks I also have the hickory NUTS that are such a pain but luckily my Honduran wonderful neighbor Juan got ALL those up for me.....i wouldn't have been able to even write/type today had he not!!! LOL On the other side of my house the squirrels get them all but they would be suicidal squirrels if they tried on the front side with all the little strays that i care for..........since Cats don't eat nuts.....I had 2 tons of the things to roll across everytime I walked out to my car!!! Its a cold rainy day today just like they promised...good napping weather but since that luxury escapes me I guess i will go try and not MELT!!! Oh I can only wish!!! Can't you just see all of us if the rain could melt us.....One thigh out then the next thigh...then the belly....ooops no not the boobs.....lol Have a great day girls! |

It was 74 here yesterday so I had to get off my lazy behind and blow and rake leaves....my arm was so shaky I coudn't even take a sip of water for hours with my right arm...yeah boy I am in great shape huh? LOL Its supposed to be about the same temp today and then tuesday turn into storms and get back to colder more "normal" weather....I am already spoiled!! I like it colder though actually. Are you successfully over your H1N1 flu now? Hope so. Hope your family excaped catching it too. Axe, Miss Axe, it is so good to FINALLY hear from you. We missed you! Hi Jazz! I have been cleaning some today and sweeping leaves off my porches...no yard work .....yet....if ever...i mean YET! My allergies kill me and the asthma, well it seems like the singulair and inhaler aren't doing what they once did. It might help a whole lot if I would QUIT SMOKING! I have cut down considerably so cross fingers that I do it in time(she says as she gains 20 lbs just at the idea!) I still want to know where everyone else is.....should know the 2 RAMBLERS would be LOYAL! LOL Oh and thanks for the ice!! Have a great afternoon! |

Hi Everyone! Suz it is so good to hear from you. You and your family are in my prayers as well. The concert sounds like alot of fun and you need that right now! Lucy is right your Dad would want you to enjoy your life. I do so understand and still miss my Daddy so much. Nov 18 will be 5 years since he passed and it is still so hard to really believe. I try to keep the wonderful happy loving memories in my head and heart. That brings some peace. Tammy poor poor Tammy Bless your heart! I too have asthma(like your son) and had decided not to get the H1N1 shot but now I am wondering if I should?????? I do hope you are better very soon girl! I am also very afraid of bringing the germs in on my Mom....although I have heard it is harder on the younger folks but how could someone in they're 80's deal with such a flu? Get better and let us know how you are ok? Heck I would buy and eat all the halloween candy I wanted if I felt like it after all you have went through flu-wise but you stay strong and maybe that will be the only GOOD thing to come from it is lbs lost!! Lucy I stepped away from the halloween candy.......since I had a handful......have you tried those hershey cordials??? they taste like a chocolate covered cherry. I did check out the calories cause I gotta have something so you can have 9 pieces for 180 calories and 7g fat....not good I know but if I count it in????? Just for Halloween?????? SOMEBODY STOP ME!! Well Girls got on the scales this morning and UP yet another lb! Then Thanksgiving is just around the corner and then Christmas...... Jazzzzzzz my duct taping isn't working cause I cant tape my hands to keep them from jerking the tape off my mouth apparently!!!!! lol Where the heck are all my supporters?????????? Welcome Disney! You will like this group. We are very supportive and silly and serious all wrapped up together! You know I think we all know HOW to lose the weight and that it definitely gets harder with age but just getting that discipline back in our eating habits is the hard part! Good luck and do keep track of your calories (every morsel) and I found that when I checked in here every morning I did a whole lot better...NOTE that i have not been doing that so..... Connie Jazz hows your duct tape sticking????? We have a NEWBIE even with our ranting yesterday! yeah Disney!!! lol Hi to everyone! |

Hi Girlfriends! I love that Jazz has gotten my ramble gene!! I really needed a laugh and got it Jazz!!! I am not the one to stop that fridge opening habit...I just did the closet switcharoo cleaning and getting winter stuff all cleaned up and ready to wear......IF I COULD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot fit into the jeans I could fit into only 2 months ago and I dont know what is going on with me....at one point yes for about a day I actually got to 128 but then went to my goal weight of the between 130-135 and stayed there for months now I am at 143 and stuck which is still considerably smaller than when I started losing but my body shape has done one of those 50 year old things and my belly and hips seem to have switched places with a neighbor or something and my clothes are still here!!!!! I have had a migraine headache for 2 days and that is the only thing that has kept me from eating the house like a termite!!!! Now Jazz do you still want inspiration from ME???? lol Lucy so glad that YOU are losing sweetie! No I am being sincere!!!! I am too! Ok for all the newbies this is the rambling you hear about but this is actually the RAMBLING RANT....K? Love ya'll Conniefatcatamous! |

Hey I really like that Aly..."QUEEN CONNIE" much better sounding than drama queen! Tee hee hee! Pednisone is causing me to eat everything and drink tons....Bobby brought me cheese cake and just made spaghetti and garlic bread dropped it off at my door and called when he got up the road!! He is so so sweet but I am going to be up up up the scales before this is over... Hope everyone had a good weekend! Lucy thanks for the advice! I think I'm gonna change you from Lucy to Doc!!! I will do the ice cause I am hurting still so bad in my neck. The flexeril has helped the muscle but boy I am having trouble with the top of my neck and my arms keep going numb depending on how I am laying sitting or even standing. I am so tired from all of this. I have to get off this computer it is agonizing.....for real...not being a drama queen on this one!! I know thats a first!! lol Have a great weekend everyone. Hi Lucy! Thanks for asking. The shower (hot water moving my neck etc) was helpful and great advise. I did however have to go to my doc yesterday. I was literally in tears. I was hurting so bad anyway he said the disc in my neck was giving some problems but I have severe inflammation in my muscles (neck and shoulder) so he put me on pain meds anti inflams and flexiril (muscle relaxer) i'm sure you are familiar with them. It is helping some this morning but still in alot of pain (not crying though) I told him that I had been doing the hot shower and all and he said PERFECT and to continue that and moist heat as much as I wanted. No ice this time though unless I concentrated it only on the top of my spine only not on the muscles. So hey girlfriend other than the meds you coulda saved me $100! lol If this doesn't work for me he wants to put me on that damn PREDNISONE I hate that stuff (have to tke if sometimes for respiratory infections) It makes me eat like a horse!!!! Yeah thats REALLY what I need! Ok my book has ended! Happy days to everyone. I still have to tell the patrick swayze story but will wait till I can sit here longer....xx |

Searay I did check some into the acai berry and although it might be good for you like any other berry I read quite a few reviews from others that said it was a waste of money for any other purpose! Cat Moms have excellant hearing ya know!!! Does anyone have suggestions on how to help with this neck and shoulder that is absolutely killing me. I am even feeling like I have an earache due to it! The heating pad seems to make it feel better for a bit and then it seems to hurt even worse....could this all have come from the flu shot?? REALLY? Note: between all the rainy weeks and now it has turned instantly cold I am inside more and of course PITAFUL now due to the flu shot....I have gained 5 lbs! Have any of you ever taken a flu shot and had a less than pleasent reaction? i had my flu shot (not the swine flu) and for the first time my whole shoulder is so sore and stiff and yesterday had terrible stomach cramps and ..ahem...all that goes with stomach cramps...I've never had a reaction before so was just wondering. I feel much better today but the arm and shoulder are still sore. Have a great day all! Its 49 here this morning and i swore I would not turn my heat on till october but well i just had to!!!! |

Hey to all you "almost empty nesters" REMEMBER all the stray children i have on my front porch (especially right now with all this flooding rain).....if you adopt a few Kitties you will never ever feel lonely and will always have things to do....also they don't leave EVER...don't ask for the car or to go to college.....just I thought...my address is.....LOL! Hi Lucy! Just a little trivia for you on Patrick Swayze and the movie Dirty Dancing. It was filmed at Lake Lure (N.C.) which is only 25 minutes from me and I visit every summer! Bobby (my boyfriend) is a retired police Lieutenant and a long time ago he was security for Patrick and said he was the nicest person you could possibly meet. There is a story but its too long to get into tonight that i will tell you that is sooo heart warming about him. Hope everyone is well! Connie |

Oh my goodness Suz! Here I was hoping you were having a blast for the summer and my goodness what a time you and your family have been through. My prayers are always with all of you and I am so sorry that you lost your Dad through all of this. I just wanted to cry when I read all of that. I also wanted to come through my laptop and give you a big long heart felt hug! It is wonderful that you are going to have your daughter with you especially now honey. Does your Mom have anyone staying with her? Bless all of your hearts. Just know that Heaven is an even brighter place now with your Dad (and mine) up there watching over us and that we will see our loved ones again one day! ! Well just knowing you are Austrailian. I have always loved the accent! Um I think you meant Lucy was in your thoughts BUT I must say if you notice the time it is 4 a.m. here and I was awakened to water rushing wildly in my bathroom...
. I don't know if my insurance covers such things and I of course am not working due to taking care of my Mom and don't really know what I am gonna do if Allstate doesn't pay for it
My Mom has doctor appts. tomorrow well um later TODAY and I am going to go crazy before it even hits daylight......ok thanks for listening ladies...can't say I actually feel better but I guess some. I always try to be an optimist so I am thinking Thank you GOD that I was home...my whole house would have been flooded in no time if not!
Pray for me girls......I need a nerve pill at this point!
