Hi foxylady- so glad you got that sorted out! Hopefully this unwanted house guest has finally got the hint!

You are so lucky you don't pile on the pounds after a good night - I always do and have to compensate for it for days after.

Good luck for the move!

Hi Paige

I just read through your previous few posts and really feel for you.  It's really good you are keeping active but as everyone else has said, don't stress yourself with weighing - you've got far too much going on at home without worrying about that.

Whatever you do, do it for yourself - you sound like a great person and really don't deserve what your husband did.  Is all that sorted out now or is he back?  I hope things work out for you.

I too had a Wii - great exercise and fun for all when the weather is nasty, which is quite frequent here in the UK!!

Keep up your positive attitude to life mate - everything will be fine.

x

Hi foxylady - if i were you - i'd nip the problem with the house guest in the bud! Not only is it going to ruin your diet, but think of your wallet too - feeding an extra mouth for another week!  It is nice to have visitors now and again but as you say once a month is a bit intrusive and to want to spend a whole week with you 24/7 is a bit much! I would wait until nearer the time and perhaps say that you have got other plans with relations or something or just tell her the truth! At the end of the day, you obviously are good friends with her, but it will only result in you resenting her if you don't sort it out sooner rather than later.

Probably doesn't help you out much but truth is usually the best policy in the end.

LOL and good luck!

Weight Loss Calorie Counting! Mar 14 2008

Thanks mlclay - I wasn't counting cals before but when I first started I must have been eating around the 2000 mark, but since I joined, have been trying to keep below the 1800 as can't do too much high impact exercise because of my back.  That's the biggest problem until back sorted, have to be really careful as had slipped disc.  So concentrating on lowering the cals as I obviously don't need as many.  Glad I lost a bit more this week - given me a bit more motivation to stick to it!

Thanks for the suggestions guys - nice to know I'm not the only one feeling a bit crap!!  Lost 2lbs this week - yippee! Feeling a bit brighter today for that.  I'm sure the exercise has a lot to do with it - as I work in an office from 8.30 to 4.15 only get half hour for lunch but have been using that over last couple of weeks to get out and walk so that really helps.  Have noticed that my back not twinging as much as have been more mobile, so hoping that eventually will be able to add in some more exercises just have to be careful!

Thanks for all of your suggestions - amand111 - you say you lowered your sodium - what foods specifically did you avoid to do this? I am only a novice at this calorie counting business and have not quite grasped the rest of it yet! Good news tho' - weighed myself this morning and lost 2lb this week - yippee!  Feeling a bit better today - obviously the daily walking is paying off and the constant counting.

Hi,

I am 31 and am 5'5" and my start weight just over a week ago was 159lb - only lost 1lb in a week.  I'm not grossly overweight but did my back in last year and as couldn't move around a lot put on well over a stone.  Still in recovery but am managing walking and other light exercise but am desperate to lose the extra pounds as they have all piled on around my middle!

Nice to know there are people out there about the same age feeling the same as I do - just hoping that weigh day (tomorrow) doesn't end up being too depressing as hoping that will have lost some more (and more than a pound) this time round.

Anybody got any suggestions for low cal meals and snacks so not feeling so deprived!! Aaarrgghh!
