I wanted to see her percentage.

tara started at 294 and lost 155 pounds.  that`s 52.72%

According to the Today show, she lost 139 lbs.  155 was her weight at the end for a percentage loss of 53.35%

I felt terrible for Tara, I know it was the moment where everyone found out who the winner was but she did an amazing job and was just left standing there.

It was a three hour live show, you might have thought they would have timed it a little better than to announce the winner and then end the show 60 seconds later!  I agree that Tara deserved a little more time on camera after her weight was announced.  I wanted to see her percentage.

My favorites were Felipe and Sione so I didn't really care if Helen or Tara won. I was not a huge fan of Helen's, but I don't hate her.  I didn't want Mike or Ron to win.  Like the person above, I just can't stand Ron and so I didn't want his son to win either.  I admit that it is rather petty of me, but I cannot help it!!

When Mike came out for the first time I thought for sure he would win.  He is so thin now.  How tall is Helen?  I am 5' 6 and cannot even remember weighing 117 lbs.  (I'm 38) or even imagine weighing that now.  She must be shorter than I thought.

Jerry was the only real surprise from the at home people.  I cannot believe he lost that much weight.  That is amazing.  I was not surprised that Joelle didn't lose much or the orange kid (not Daniel).

I'm assuming next season will not be couples unless Amanda is going to be part of an unrelated couple like Bernie was two seasons ago.

**I just looked up her height and she is 5'6.  117 seems a little unhealthy for that height, but as a previous poster said, for $250,000 I might go that low too!

Wow, we all make mistakes in our life.  I agree, Ron and his wife were primarily responsible for the terrible condition that Mike and Max were in, but at least he is trying to make amends now.  Some parents go through life in complete denial about what they have done to their children and never admit mistakes.

I'm just saying that I'm willing to give him a little slack.  Lord knows that I have made some terrible choices in my own life, hence the reason I was so fat!

I don't want Ron to win, but I do admire his reason for being there.

My anger is not at alll aimed at you.  I know everyone makes mistakes, as I have made plenty in my life.  To me, though, a mistake is one poor decision.  Yes, in many times it leads to a series of other events, however, in order for Mike and Max to become so huge many, many mistakes were made every day for years and years.  That is why I cannot stand Ron.  That and his lying and his need to control everything!

I know Ron is not a big favorite but I really do admire his devotion to his children.  He realized he made a huge mistake and is trying to correct it.  Aren't we all?  I hope he doesn't win, but I like him a little better than I have in the past.

His devotion to his children is great in front of millions of tv viewers, but what about the past 18 years?  Young kids eat what is given to them and then later eat what they have been taught to eat.  Mike and Max did not get extremely obese on their own.  Parents play a major role.

They are going home for 30 days now.  America does vote for the third finalist.  Then they go home for at least a month.  Maybe even a little longer.  Whoever has lost the highest percentage when they come back (overall-not just at home) wins.

.  Can pg or someone else explain to me why Ron is less of a threat than Filipe?  I don't understand.  Hasn't Ron had more weight loss AND in the last few weeks especially been dropping the pounds like mad, AND, doesn't he have a lot more to lose than Filipe?  I cannot believe that Ron has made it to the final four.  It really pisses me off.  Go Tara!!!

Ron has lost a lot of weight, but since he started out so big his percentage of loss isn't as big.  The prize goes to the highest percentage of weight loss, not  the number of pounds.  He has a lot more to lose, but I don't know that he will be able to lose much without Bob helping him.  I hope that is the case anyway!

I'm hoping Tara wins now.  Felipe was my favorite, although I know there wasn't really a chance that he could catch up to Mike or Tara.  I dislike Ron so much I just don't want to see his son win.  They are so cocky about Mike winning.  And Ron lied to Bob's face when he said he had no hand in the way Mike voted last week.

I think Tara will do better at home than Mike will.  At least I'm hoping she does so she can win it all.

I would like to see Nicole win the at home competition.

Felipe strikes me as a total joker.  I don't know why but I just really like him.

I do too!! It seems we are in the minority here, but I have liked him and Sione from the beginning.  I hope he wins, although I don't see it happening.  Mike and Tara have lost so much weight already.

oh, and i agree that kristen wouldn't have voted out mike.

I agree with this too.  She's too chicken to vote Mike off and have to live with Ron.

So Ron wanted Felipe and Sione to die a couple of weeks ago for voting for him and yet it is acceptable for him to tell his son to vote off the person he has sworn to protect?  Maybe it is because he didn't "write her name down", as he mentioned too many times last night, that he was ok with it.  In his mind he didn't lie or do anything wrong.

I still like Felipe.  I thought it was funny what he was doing during the challenge.  He fell before all the women so no one can complain that he sabotaged their efforts.

OK I love TBL and have been reading this thread for awhile now.  First of all, I HATE RON!!!  I've hated him ever since the "it's time for Mandi to go" episode.  I mean, who gave him the authority to make the call every week on his team whose time it was to go?  And then he kept coating his decisions in the whole "I think so and so has the support at home to continue, so and so still needs to be here" when it was 100% game play.  When he was saying that anyone who voted for him to go home the previous episode can DIE, that was way over the top.  He is in it to help Mike win, and that's it.

Speaking of Mike, I really need to break up some of this Mike lovefest that's going on here.  What is it exactly that makes him cute??   He seems like a nice kid and I feel bad for him and his brother obviously being raised by Ron the enabler who raised them fat their entire lives.  I wouldn't be totally mad if he won.  But cute???  Can we talk about the acne for a minute??  It's out of control.   He has no chin.  Come on people.

I would have liked to see Helen go home this week over Sione because I think she is annoying and snively and mostly weak-willed, but Laura would have been stupid to kick her off over Sione who was the #2 in the house behind Tara.  I like the Tongans both but I'm behind Felipe over Sione.  He just seems so genuine.  Yes, he can be annoying, but who isn't at some point?  But I have to say, my ultimate favorite is Tara.  She's tough, strong, determined, and very smart and strategic.  Yes, she can be a bit cocky.  But, she deserves to be...she's been schooling them this entire game.

jafried-I agree with you 100%! (except for the acne thing-I haven't noticed that)  Cannot stand Ron.  Don't really like Mike.  I guess it is dislike by association because of my intense dislike of Ron and Mike always agrees with him.  He has done some nice things, like giving away his phone call home, but I guess I cannot get past him being his father's son.  I actually would love to see Mike sent home while Ron is left there.  That would really piss Ron off and it would be great!!!  I've liked Sione and Felipe from the start and still do.  I was so happy to see Sione working to be a trainer.  I hope he is successful.  Would have rather seen Helen go, but I understand the decision.

Kristen really annoys me.   Can't say exactly why.

Hi.  I am Debbie and am also a BL-aholic and cannot stand Ron!!!!!  I cannot believe he has now been below the yellow line five times and they will not vote him off.   The only thing I can figure is that they don't consider him a threat so they keep him.  I really like Nicole and was sad to see her go so soon after getting back on.  I'm pretty sure Tara was smiling behind her hands when Nicole's +5 went on the screen.  I have to say there really isn't anybody on the show I love.  I guess my favorites are Sione and Felipe, but I don't love them.  They, at least, seem like nice guys and have not done anything to really annoy me!

My thought on Nicole is that she was doing mainly aerobics at home and the strength training she did with Bob gave her muscle which added to her weight.  I hope she wins the at home prize.

That would explain it.  Ron definitely needs help but he pulls such low numbers that we will see the blue team disappear rapidly.  Funny, they didn't think of that when voting. You would think they would save themselves as long as possible.

They did know that.  Dane pointed it out to them that he pulls big numbers.  They just chose to ignore him.  I think someone else mentioned it too.  Unless they were voting for pure selfish reasons-seeing that he is a high loser.  That is fine, except when their team loses week after week they will all be gone before the end anyway.

When there is a tie the person with the lowest percentage of weight loss goes.

I don't know why Aubrey voted for Kristen.  I don't see the blue team winning at all without Blaine.  Ron can't lose more than 5 pounds.  The mom lost a ton, but I don't see that happening too often.  Usually she has a low weight loss.  Kristen does ok, but not huge numbers, plus she is so heavy she really needs to lose a lot to have a high percentage.

I am giving up sugar.  Not all sugar, just obvious, bad sugar...cookies, candy, ice cream.  I did it last year and it helped me lose 20 pounds.  I am hoping for similar results this year (especially since I gained 7 back after Easter)

Why would the blue team vote off their biggest loser???  That was a bad decision.  I don't like Ron at all.  I can't look at him without his shirt off.

The only team I like this year is the blue team-Felipe and Sione.  They seem like nice guys.  I cannot stand the constant crying of the yellow team.  Did Aubry not know that if she went on the show she would have to leave her family?  I don't like the green team either.  The one who has been on the ranch all along(Tara or Laura?) reminds me of Vicky.  The purple and pink teams are ok.  I don't like the dad on the brown team.  I like the son, but I think he is fighting a losing battle with his dad as his partner.

.  As much as Tara tries to be tough, no one can touch Vicky when it comes to the Bit*hiest Loser on campus.

It's still early!  I don't remember hating Vicky until later in the season.

I am down one pound although I'm not sure if that is because I weighed myself later in the day last time and this time I did it first thing in the morning.  I cannot control my eating.  I love food-especially sweet stuff!  One of these days I hope to get back to my strict eating habits.  It doesn't help when it is 5 degrees out! Can't wait for the warm weather to come back.

Good morning.  I totally forgot about this yesterday!  It was a busy day.  I didn't get on the elliptical yesterday, but I did walk up and down a sledding hill quite a bit, so I'm going to count that.  ( I walked down to help carry the sleds back up for the little ones)

Have a good week!

When Jillian's team said it was about Carla too, that was total BS.  The whole team voted off Damian so Joelle could bring Bob's team down at the weigh ins.  Joelle will be the reason Bob's team loses the weigh ins.  The partners come back next week so I assume they are going back to Bob vs Jillian.

I agre with the others.  There is no "right" time to have a child.  It will all work out.  My husband was in grad school when I got pregnant with our first.  He wanted to wait until he graduated.  I did not want to be 30 years old and just starting to have kids.  It all worked out.  Somehow it does.

Nothing I do reduces them.

Last night's episode makes me not want to watch the show even more than the week before.  I fear that last night was the only chance to get Vicky off the show and she will now make it through to the end.  She usually loses enough to stay above the yellow line.  Wasn't she only below it because of the one pound penalty?  An evil, nasty person like Vicky does not deserve to win anything.

I agree with a previous post in that Amy was trying to make up to the blue team, but she has to know that she will be the first blue member to go if she falls below the line with any of the other 3.  Who cares about team colors now anyway?  They are all for themselves.  Vicky treated her horribly all week, why would she not get rid of her?  I think she made a huge mistake in letting Vicky stay.
