you can be the CEO and ill the the VP! how fun would that be! i hate when people say to figure out what you want to do in life, just figure out what you love doing best and try to get there. HELLO! i love shopping! maybe ill be a secret shopper when i move to arizona and im just trying to find jobs here and there. but i want to do it all day long! lol. oh well. we might just have to find really really rich husbands! your right! i used to work at a shoe store and these rich ladies would come in and buy stuff all the time, but we had really good prices on designer shoes....anyway! a couple of their husbands turned it into a real job, they had so much but they didnt want to make them to stop buying sooooo they had the ladies to look for good deals and then sell the stuff on ebay. or sell the stuff in their closets that they were over or didnt want to wear after they got it home. i  could sooooo do that! they did it all the time!

i agree with waiting until next week to get back on track. its too much to deal with right now! you know what to do to get you back down IF you gain anything. so its okay if you do! and then youll have a little more time (maybe) being home so you could do more workouts to bust some booty!

its friday! so let me know how you think everything went.

ihearsin:

this seems like such a good workout! i think im going to try it in that order. i do all of those things but its kind of just ill do however many whenever and i think adding structure to it will help.

lealea123:

i dont have a video to recommend but ill give you a run down of what those exercises are like. i hope that helps, if not you can google them!

lunges are the ones that are like a really big step in front of you and then come up and then take a big step with the other leg.

squats are like your going to sit down in a chair but before you touch the seat you stand back up. put the pressure in the heel of your foot when you are doing them. keep your chest up and your abs flexed when you do them. repeat 25 times. or however many you can do.

crunches, im sure you know so ill sound a bit silly saying it lol. but you lay on the floor with your hands behind your head in the shape of a diamond (with your thumbs touching and pointers touching) and then you use your abs to come off the floor a bit and come back down. repeat 25 times. take a break and do 25 more.

butt lifts are kind of interesting, i think the ones she's talking about go a little something like this: stand tall and then take your right leg and point your toe out behind you. lift to the ground and then raise as high as you can. repeat 25 times holding it up behind you for 10 seconds the last time. do the other leg. repeat for your second set.

push ups, im sure you know those. you can even do the girl ones to start off with. which is on your knees. make sure to keep your hands under your shoulders, thats a tip my pilates teacher gave me.

plank pose is kinda the start to a push up....only you dont go down into a push up. you stay in that position the whole time. its pretty hard to do when you start but it feels so good as you get better with it. make sure your flexing everything, butt included. and make sure you dont let that thing stick up into the air, if you do then you arent doing it correctly.

i hope this very long post helps!

Im very sorry to hear about your Grandfather, times like that is when you deserve to stray away from the calorie counting and such. comfort eating is never a good thing, but your mind has so much to deal with that im sure habit will come in for the healthy eating. if it doesnt then your body is stressed enough to burn more that i feel like you dont need to worry about it that much. esp now that you have the finals. your so strong to be going through all that and keeping that good head on your shoulders. i hope when you get home and your done with your finals, that you should just chill for a week or two or three before you start working. how are you parents dealing with it all? again, im sorry for your loss.

that cup cake sounds amazing! i wish i didnt think it sounds amazing b/c now i want a peice of cake. im trying to not do sweets. i think thats my downfall, im blaming that on my not loosing more weight. its making me crazy to know im not loosing so i think im just blaming what i can to keep me sane. and that really could be why! lol.

how did physics go? that shouldve been this morning right??? good luck with the rest of them, its almost over for this semester! you can do it. what are you going to school for again?

my weekend was good, just had my friend in town visiting and we went shopping like crazy. i wish i was a shopper for a living!

OHH! i didnt even T-H-I-N-K of a monokini!!!!! infinite is sooo right! and they are so hot right now.

....with your shape that would be soooooo good. but you have to kina look for a quailty one or youll freak out at how short the torso is. if you find one thats a good quailty one your going to look like a moden times 20! lol. im soo glad that she thought of that, when your home let me know what it was like when you try it on. i think they have a few at target too, and they seemed like pretty good-ok quality wise.

how exciting! i cant wait until i look like you in your swim suit pics....well, minus a couple of inches from the height :( lol.

i found a new place to reply to! lol. i like the black one better on the bottom and i know what you mean about the tie for the top. i bet that helped a lot!?!?!?!?! ive had a couple walmart swim suit, my first bikini was from there (when i was 16 i got it and it STILL fits and it STILL is a good suit...and i wore it at the lake every weekend for a full year and on/off the next year. so you got a suit thats unbeatable, even if its from wally world! i do roxy now, but i still throw that walmart one on and work it! hehehe)

anyway! i also 100% LOVE LOVE LOOOOVE the black and pink one from target too though. ohhh, buy them all! lol. esp since the black on you have looks so cute already and your thinking abuot the target one. i liked the cream one too,  but that color can kinda drown girls sometimes.

either way, congrats! you look great and dont listen to your mom AT ALL. but listen to your bf. he's right. you do look great.

im glad you talked to someone about it that is/was inside that world! im telling you, youd be perfect for it. im sure your feeling icky about the tummy jiggle, but you know your doing something to help it and the sitting up crunchys are a really good thought for it. if not, hell, youll be wearing atleast a swim suit when you should up to the model place! and you look great in that pic so flaunt it if you got it, hide the stuff you dont want them to see! lol

i hope you and your boyfriend work out and 10 years down the road have some tall kids!!!! they will be the perfect models and sports players. i only hope to have giant kids myself....i just cant seem to find tall boys in new mexico! they are hiding out in all the other states. lol.

hehehe. dont you love when they go well in your brain. doing a little brain excercising! hehe. but good that you ran, do you like running? i hate it but im trying to make myself like it so when im allowed to run again i start. i mean, hell, its free! lol. no gym fees involved just you feet and some free roads. lol. your pants falling down story is too funny.

nothing is new over here.....sadly. lol. im still not allowed to do as much as i want at the gym. just the bike. and im up and down with my wieght which sucks. im trying to stay at like 1300 but since i got myself used to the 1500 its kinda hard....emphasis on kinda. apples, raisins, chicken breasts, pisachios, apple sauce, yogurt, trying to eat nothing too bad so i can get to where i was before surgery and then waaaay further down. i try not to let myself realize how frustrating it is at times, but it can wear a girl down!

hope you had a good day!

i think its all about designer and how they size. but if you add some muscle tone or whatever then i should help all around, i think. okay, soooo i heard this thing (ive heard it a lot) that said something like for every pound of muscle you gain, you burn 5 more calories then you did when it wasnt muscle. so youll be burning more if you start doing the silly little sqeeze in excercises (sp, again! lol) and maybe that will help with the little problems you feel that you have here and there. i know the modeling world wants people to be thinner but with europe trying to ban anorixic models maybe that will work here. i would be pissed if i heard anyone say you looked too big, you look like perfect and your so pretty. oh! AND your the right age. i wish that back when i was your age i took this stuff more seriously because i really wanted to do it but i didnt think i could ever loose a significant amount of weight to do it and i felt short lol. now ill just have you do it for me and live through you and your CC account! dont leave us when you become a model! lol.

oh, my mom was a shorty. shes the one that made me a not giant. im so mad a t her. lol. she is 5'6 and my Dad was 6'6 so i tell her that she basically ruined my dreams of being over 6 foot. lol jk. she thinks im crazy but my sister got 6'1 so grrrrr. shes at a normal size now but i see her pics and im like man, you couldve given me your skinniness instead of your shortness! lol. im sorry to hear about your mom not being able to eat gluten, i hope she goes to the whole foods market! my friend says they have pretty good stuff for that. it must be so hard for her!

hope you did good editing your papers. let me know how the lunges and squats went!

enchantedraisin:

as long as your slow walk involves no bouncing. i took the extra cautious way and did the sit down bike, i tried walking on the treadmill but im so used to strutting my stuff when i walk on there and going really fast so i got scared. with those sit down bikes your not bouncing, your not jiggling, you can control your heart rate and take it easy. but your dr's right. nothing TOO much because your body is still trying to heal.

i go to see my dr at the 4 week-ish mark and see what he says then but i was allowd to do the bike or walk thing until then.

good luck with the new boobies!!!! :)

hi! i just got a breast aug 2 weeks ago.

i hate to say it, but your not going to working out for a while. theres no "bouncing" for quite a while. theres DEF not lifing or carrying 4.5 pound anything. i had to down size my purse and everything. you really need to follow everything your dr tells you because its not just to be cautionary, its because you HAVE TO...and to make sure you scar stays pretty. lol.

BUT good news, im able to ride the sit down bike at the gym so i atleast feel like im getting something in. you need to wait until your body heals though, so it depends on how invasive they have to go. im sure it will be a bit longer because of the lift. its more of an insision i hear.....

good luck! new boobs are so fun :) i love mine. woohoo

i really think you should try it! you have such a pretty face and the perfect height for it and a good shape even if you dont think so! you've got some curves and your waist is tiny. designers would love that, way better then straight up and down looking like a boy. i left you a comment on your other post about little not full on work outs to tone and i think that will help.

about the stretch marks, everyone has them! thats why spray tans are for, lol. they hid them like nobodys business! lol. oh and i know people think its a myth, but cocoa butter will help. my mom used it her whole pregnancy and she NEVER GOT A SINGLE ONE, she was a size 0-2 when she got prego the first time. she still doesnt have any, the lucky punk. anyway, ive been told it helps for people that have them. and theres this stuff named Jafra that sells 'royal jelly' and that helps scars heal and fades stretch marks. ive heard it works wonders. just a couple of the little things ive found here and there.

oh! im excited! you HAVE to try it. youd be perfect. i hear its hard at first but i think theyd jump on top of it....and you seem to have such a good head on your shoulders that you will do fine in that aspect. yay!

ive followed you here!

if you make sure to sit up straight all day long and do like sitting up crunches that might help. i had a pilates teacher that told me, reason why is because she knew i couldnt attend the next semesters class and wanted to make sure i was taking care of my core until the semester after it. she said just to try to all day long pull your belly button in and out and she also said to kegal all day long......it helps lower abdomen.

for other ones you can do just here and there are lunges when your just sitting and studying with flash cards or whatever you use. i put some heels on when i do it sometimes because i think it helps more, lol. my sister says im crazy, but whatever! hehehe. oh and squats when your just stand there doing nothing. if you have a table/coffee table/couch arm/anything sturdy you can do dips for your arms. they will all engage your core and help you be more toned!

OMG! i think you look Perfect! you should even be a model at this point. im not even kidding you. you have a really good shape and your legs look good. i think you could even go into maintenence (horrible spelling, wow. lol) mode now if you really wanted to. but i think your doing good with what your eating now, you have such a busy life over there its kinda like what else could you do!

you need to walk by a modeling agency window....they will coming running out when you walk by, tripping all over themself. no freakin kidding! do it! at 6'1 they will be begging you to come work for them.

oh, i still havent gone to the store to get the chips. but i keep thinking about them! same great taste, no icky shiny greasy nastiness. lol. if im not busy today, ill go get some. ive been on this yogurt kick, i has was less dairy in it then any other dairy product so it doesnt make me sick...but i think its helping me get back to my weight before surgery. its so weird to me that you can gain this much from anesthesia (sp again! lol) and pain pills. stupid pain pills!

congrats :) doesnt that time of the month SUCK!? i know i want doritos usually and i cant even try to talk my mind into making them seem gross. maybe ill try harder next time....i watched that show on TLC with the dude named paul something about how thin people stay that way and he teaches you how to train your mind into thinking something tastes nasty. its funny. but it was a pretty interesting show. i liked his ideas.

i have NO idea about the olestra BUT im really excited to try these new fancy ruffles! i think ill go buy some when i get back (im going out of town this weekend, arizona here i come!). ill let you know how i like them! im sure ill talk myself into thinking they are delish, even if they arent. lol. esp since they are only 70 calories!

well, i did have surgery but not for anything major. i actually got a couplf of new additions. lol. so they are whats new. ive been sucking at my diet or at anything! no working out because im not allowed to yet and eating kinda crappy or not eating enough. did anyone know that pain pills really can do a number on your tummy!? well for crying out loud, i didnt know! so ive been having, um, issues with it. and it sucks. i hope to get it all figured out now that im off of the major pain pills!

i bet the 5 pounds will come off easy! atleast im hoping! im right there with you, only mine is 6 pounds and 7 pounds and even 7.5 one day! lol. but im really glad that your going to try to stay at 1200. its like youll be doing that zigzagging thing that i hear is really good. keep your body guess...but just not pre-planned!

im glad you had fun with your family though! good luck with school now that your back :)

thanks for the replies! even if they were replies to correct my grammer! lol. im not so good at checking my spelling when im venting like that. when you have the last straw, well, you have the last straw!

either way, im really glad im not the only one out there that cant stand terms like that or idiots that decide they need to tell you about it. because weather you have a large frame and your short, or you have a small frame and your tall....its just not nice. and its none of their business unless your taking a survey on weather other people think you have them or not! lol.

adrieu: i hate the "big girl" thing! even as kids it bugged me. my sister got it more then me and she was a little stick child! i used to get so protective of her and my little 5yr old self would correct the adults, TALL not big. lol. we've gotta stick up for our own kind!

the brand lactaid did not work for me at all! i wish i would because they sell that everywhere! for a while, the only thing that worked was from whole foods market that was $21 for 30 pills. i then found the stuff i use now.....the one from above that has the link....it was great!

i've never tried the drops, i wonder if they'd work for me! one day when im feeling strong, ill try them. a day that i dont mind looking like im about 6 months prego. lol. it makes me THAT bloated!

i hope to get an actual bike pretty soon, or atleast mid-end summer. but im doing the stationary right now.

if you dont mind me asking....what moves did your trainer give you for the inner thighs. i know this is probably a question for a different forum, but i want to loose some (or a lot) there and since we are talking about it! lol.

also, you know whats funny. i LOOOOOOVE when my legs are sore but i cant deal with it when my arms/chest are sore. isnt it funny how different we all are!?

i agree. there is no such thing as spot loss. BUT one thing that really did help me was the bike. i didnt think it did much until i started wearing my heals with capri's or skirts and actually SAW them. i had been trying for years and years and years to get calves and loose thighs. im still (and always will be) trying to loose more thighs, but they look soooo much better now. my little secret behind it is THE BIKE! i use the one thats sits down, instead of the sit up one, but i think either will do the job. infact, the sit up one might be best for thighs. it really really helped me. for the first time in my life i actually love my legs! and i have definition in my calves. its exciting!

i do it on random, not sure if thats part of it. but i think it helps with weight loss to do random/interval.

let me know if that helps or if you've already tried the bike with no result....

i think what did it for me (ive lost 20lbs) was just jumping into it, with everything i had. i did research like crazy and calorie counted and went to the gym.

id say what helped at the gym was doing 20min incremints (SP???) for cardio. nothing more then that, i hear you body is more likely to get used to it and bored of it if you do more then that. but while doing my 20mins, i did it at different intervals. i aimed for 40-60 mins and would somtimes get all the way up to 90 mins a day. when im on the treadmill, i put it on random hills and i walk pretty fast. and i like to walk like im strutting it, because i feel like it hits more muscles. lol. i tried the regular ol' gym walk, and its just not fun! another thing i do is the walk for 3 mins and run for 1 min thing. thats supposed to really help. i do the bike (which gave me really nice calves/legs) but i do it on random while staying at a good rpm. OH! and i also tried to get into that stupid stairmaster, but i have such a love/hate relationship with it, i don think ill even get "into" it ever. anyway, there you go!

you can do it! good luck.

that cake that your aunt made, well it sounds really really good. my aunt does something similar, but not so similar at the same time. hehe. she does angel food cake circles (low fat/low cal) and then fat free cool whip (low fat/reduced sugar/low cal) and then purrees (sp?) some strawberries. voila! she loves it and she makes it at home but she also takes it with her to functions and she just loves that when she takes it anywhere as a dessert, people LOVE LOVE LOOOOVE it and they dont know that they are eating a healthy little snack. they think they are indulging in something. lol. aunts are so cool like that :)

i hope you have fun over there. im hoping it gets your metabolism back on track too. you seem to have a really good head on your shoulders about the whole thing.

thanks for the replies! i really was just wanting to whip out my big ol' bones and beat someone down at that point. it just so rude! and if i wasnt getting so much information on here, i think it really could have affected me...negitively. Thanks to CC, i have the knowledge to know its a bunch of B.S. and atleast i know more about health in general then these idiots do. ESP to think that calling somone "BIG BONED" is a nice thing to say. its just unacceptable in my eyes. and from what you guys are saying, its not just in my eyes!

sour pumpkin: i get the solid thing too. even as a baby i was "solid". you shouldnt like it, because thats not a nice way of saying anything.

i think people need to remember what their mama's told them: if you dont have something nice to say, dont say anything at all.

AND, this: treat others as you would like to be treated....its called the GOLDEN RULE for a reason, its Golden. lol. sounds silly, but 100% true!

im one of the "shorty's" in this......5'9....but i feel the same way as everyone. i kinda hate saying that ive lost about 20 lbs, because on those damn short people that would be a lot. so i say 20 pounds and i KNOW that they are thinking 'wow, was she THAT FAT???? i guess she was. 20 pounds is 20 pounds. and she still needs to loose more. i just think that i over think it! lol. the are probably just thinking 'wow. contrats to her' lol. either way, im from the southwest. where i AM a giant. my Dad was 6'6 so he was a REAL giant but i always wanted to be one too (atleast 6'4 but that just didnt work for me). my sister is the other giant of the southwest. she's 6'2. shes basically the only chick i know that can make me feel like im not towering over.

either way, go tall people!!!
