| Brendaemily...one day of binging is not the end of 4 months work. What's in the past is the past. Learn from this and forgive yourself and move on. Start fresh from this minute.....and love yourself despite your mistake | |||

| Well tyrdrop
You need to pull back from yourself for a second...guzze a bit of water and remember the day is not shot. You can still be within your calorie range if you're careful .... Try going for a walk instead of eating...or do some dancing with the radio...anything to stop the binge in it's tracks!! Good luck...let me know how you get on |

| Allie, I suppose you're right. I need to retrain my brain...fruit = good, nachos=bad. But everything in moderation right? (But it was a huge plate of nachos...you know how many nachos make up 4 ounces? lol)
I have been undereating again the past few days...so I'm tryin to kick myself in the ass and start eating more again. But not all nachos!! LOL I love this forum :) And Calorie Count. Without it, I'd never have lost the 20+ pounds so far. ONLY 80+ to go!! lol |

| ok
this is weird. I had what I'd call a binge last night, but I planned it out, so it wasn't emotional or whatever. I actually weighed out 4 ounces of nachos, 2 ounces of cheese and 6 tablespoons of salsa. I feel terrible cuz it felt like a huge binge. but I still ate fewer than 1200 calories yesterday. So really it wasn't a binge? Or is it? |

| Still binge free for this week anyway....running everyday really does help. I keep thinking wht would I run my ass off, only to come home and binge. The trick for me is to keep busy but not too busy....
Which I totally am. I work full time, have 2 kids (age 10 and 4), I also perform as a singer and actress in my "free" time, and this time of year is busy with bookings...and my Dad is 90 years old, and I want to spend every second I can with him, I excercise every day, and to top all this off, I quit smoking 8 months ago, and didn't even miss it, until last month, the cravings hit again..and NOW i'm struggling with that too. A busy lifestyle is prime binge time...because it's so faster to stuff your face with crap than to prepare a healthy mean. But if you keep yourself in check with entering your foods before you eat them, it'll slow you down and help you stay focused. Yesterday though I only ate 900 cals....and 250 of those were from an Ice Cream sandwich...too little I know. Today I'm committed to eating all of my calories...at least 11-1200 anyway. Since I started this about 3 weeks ago, I have lost 13 pounds...so I'm doing something right....but I have to be careful not to go too crazy and stary cutting more calories or something!! |

| Thanks for spelling this all out. I still have a problem with eating more than 1200 calories though...but at least now I know why i didn't lose ANY WEIGHT when I went to the gym every day for a year for an hour of cardio and an hour of weight training every day.....
Now I will eat 14-1600 when I'm running....still though I'm sure that's not enough. I guess the mind makes you feel like you're not allowed to eat more than what you're used to and I feel guilty even though I know it's the best way to achieve a healthy weight. |

| I'm still avoiding the binge!! I can't believe how long it's been, and I've actually forgotten my last binge.... I think it was 2 weeks ago friday... LOL But, I've been feeling like I could binge any minute...I'm delicately balancing right now. And I'm trying not to weigh every day. But it's hard!
So...welcome back dlugo83 :) We're still struggling! |

| Babycologne, I find the best thing is to put your dinner on your plate, then go log the food in. That way I find I'm not Digging in right away and eating EVERYTHING on the plate. I'm really trying to leave a little something on there. You have to be completely honest with your self and your food log! OR just before you pick up your food, enter the food...that keeps me honest with myself..and helps keep me on track
I almost binged with dinner tonight, I made chicken lasagna with whole grain noodles...and I ate one piece...almost ate the second. I said "Oh, I gotta add this in" and did that..then I realized I was at the 1257 calorie mark and knew I couldnt eat the second piece. I must say, I binge WAY MORE when I'm not consistant with entering my food into the food log. |

| babycologne, It's really hard when you ahve a day like this. But one binge in the day doesnt have to ruin the whole day. I used to be this way (and probably could go that way again,) but what I realized is that if I ate something I shouldnt, right away I put it in my calorie count expenditure and notice that there's still a way to save the day....as long as I don't go over that maximum....
and if you find that after one binge you throw the day away and continue to binge, remember that tomorrow is a new day. Use that day and the binge to try to recognize your trigger and help yourself stay away from the trigger. I have an entire week without a binge now. It's a new record for me! I haven't eaten anywhere near my maximun calorie intake this week (Though I had my treat of nachos friday for supper, I had allowed for that and still ate below my maximum, and I had too beer last night!!) The trick for me, put everything in your counter. EVERY LICK...even if I taste spaghetti sauce while cooking it, I put that in as a tablespoon of sauce....:) It helps me be accountable. And prevents me from sabotaging my own weight loss efforts. Hopeully I can stick to it this time and lose the 100 I want to lose! |

| I know what it's like awmsbailey....I either binge or not eat enough. Consistantly, when I try to not binge I go too far and eat too few calories. I dunno what the hell is wrong with me.
Anyway, day 2 no binge!! :) |

| Yes, I ended up binging, but I must say I drank 4 BIG glasses of water, and ate about 1/2 of what I would normally eat when I binged. But for sure I ate 1000 calories over what I wanted to that day.
I was a good girl the past two days though. Weekends are rough, but I'm doing way better with portion control Thanks for asking reffy...hope you're fighting the hard one and hopefully it helps to know we're all fighting hard too. |
