This time of year, I think many people have a bit of a slump in motivation and energy. The days are darker and shorter, and even if you have great holiday plans, the reality is our expectations can be overwhelming.
You can write a few affirmations and light a candle, enjoy a warm drink and cuddle up with a cozy blanket. Do somethings you love and limit your obligations so that you can find balance for yourself. Maybe even say "no" to a few requests for your time or presence during this time. Only you can decide what will work, but do try loving you as you are...you will be happy and get back to the weight journaling and loss when you are less stressed and more rested. |

I'm committed! Every day I log food, plan menus, and read others posts and journals. I weigh each morning and then log my thoughts and note my scale is a lot like life. It has ups and downs, that are unpredictable, and not totally reflective of what I do or don't do. But, ultimately, my weight will go down if I do what I need to each day. I believe that if I do the best I can each day and treat others the best I can, even when I may be struggling sometimes, regardless of how they treat me, if I forgive and keep believing and recommiting to my cc plan, I will live a better life and as a result, will lose these pounds. |

Could be the beginning of osteoarthritis, it comes and goes for me. Some minimal pain, feeling of fullness and warmth, seems puffy?! Or, maybe something else... |

| Motivation | WHy I Weigh Myself Each Morning | Apr 24 2008 15:07 (UTC) |

I weigh each morning, at the same time. I like to see the small ups and the downs because it helps me see that it doesn't always reflect how I feel or what I ate. On a "happy" good eating stretch of days, I may see it move up a little. Then it may go down quite a bit when I least expect to lose. The overall trend is down if I make good choices. |

I only ate 1/2 of a peanut butter cookie, and only 1/2 half of a foot-long chicken sub on wheat at Subway. Emotionally I wanted IT ALL! I did GOOD!!!! |

| I am new, but weighing each morning helps me see the overall fluctuations, up and down that occur even when I don't cheat. If I only weigh once a week, and I saw that I'd gone UP, I would freak out. But watching each day, I see for no obvious reason that the weight goes up and down with no apparent logical reason sometimes. Overall, focusing on the plan and not the weight is best I believe. | |||
