I cant comment on your exercise and calorie count, but it does seem like you could make better food choices. I too am a petite person on low calorie target. I've learned that you need to incorporate lots of veggies, fruit and fiber to stay within your goal. Fiber is key to keeping you full. Example: Instead of eating the oatmeal bar for breakfast it just takes a 2 minutes to cook raw unprocessed oatmeal in the microwave. 1/2 cup is only 150 calories, slice that banana in there and add some brownsugar splenda and you've got a hearty, filling YUMMY breakfast that sticks to your ribs. O.J. and fruit juice in general are high in calories, sugar and not filling so I would cut it. Instead have a large cup of your favorite tea- the liquid helps fill you up and no calories. BTW- are you drinking your 8 glasses of water a day? Do you like Apples? They travel well and make great snacks to get you through to the next meal. If you are short on calories - How about a green salad with 0 WW point ingredients, i.e., tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, etc and a 0 cal rice wine vinegar dressing - you can make a huge salad for less than 100 calories. Packing a small salad to eat with your WW meal will add hardly any calories and help fill you up. For a meal, add chicken, feta, bacon bits. I like Kens lite Italian dressing -just 25 calories in one tablespoon. You sound like you're on the go, but have access to a microwave. It may be that you need to plan ahead and prepare healthy veggie dishes. You can eat huge quantities for low caloric value. I make "pasta" with spagetti squash, zuchini, shrooms, etc. and add a cup of low fat pasta sauce. Top with a parmesean and you've got an excellent dinner - and enough calories left for a glass of wine! Good luck!

I forgot to mention the easiest - PB&J! I use a low-sugar/ low-fat peanut butter and low sugar jam on whole wheat bread (sugarfrees I've tried are disgusting and I refuse to eat something that doesnt taste good for the sake of dieting). I use "natures own" double fiber - only one WW point for 2 slices. I cut the sandwich into quaters and put in a baggie. This portable snack is great for airplanes, or backpacks. |

I keep sugar-free chocolate puddings in my desk, also nuts, bars, etc... My fave - Instant sugar-free or plain oatmeal packs are filling and nutritional. If on the go order a cup of hot water at the coffee kiosk (if you have your own mug its free, some might charge a nominal fee for the cup) and eat on the way to class. If you add more water for thinner oatmeal its drinkable and you dont need a spoon. Shove a napkin in your mug to avoid any dripping in your pack until you have time to rinse. For Business Travelers: SF Oatmeal packs are also a great travel companion (I also pack splenda, cinnamon and plastic spoons in a large ziplock), just heat water in your coffee maker. I will also pack or purchase apples and bananas to keep in my room. Eat before you leave the room to avoid temptation at the "continental" aka pastry buffets common at business meetings, have a piece of fruit and drink a bottle of water before lunch or dinner to curb appetite when you dont have to option to choose the menu. Makes it easier to avoid bad choices/ turn down desert. smwhipple, Can you please share your brownie and muffin recipes and nutritional info (if you have it). Sounds very interesting and a great way to incorporate a chewy desert.

you peaked my curiousity about this diet. I have yet to find what the 4-day jump start entails, but here is the most accurate sassy water recipe I found and a sample jumpstart breakafst and snack: Sassy Water Combine ingredients and let it stand in fridge overnight. Drink all water the next day Breakfast:one cup unsweetened corn flakes, one cup skim milk, 1/4 cup sunflower seeds (which take forever to chew), and 2 tablespoons raisins. Smoothie:1 cup skim milk, 1 cup frozen fruit (blueberries, peaches, pineapple, etc.) Blend for one minute; then add 1 TB of flaxseed oil.
