I remember you! Hahaha, I haven't been on here in forever. But I think you look marvelous! I remember reading posts by you before, you inspired me to not give up actually. I can tell you have lost more weight or maybe you toned up more. Either way, you look slimmer and more healthy!

I remember eat at the dining hall when I was in college, heck I remember working there too! You try your best to eat healthy but everything is so processed to begin with that no matter what else they do to it, it really can't be healthy. We had a kitchen for our entire dorm to use in the bottom level. If you have a "mock kitchen" in your building, you could try to see if some of your friends would be willing to chip in and you could buy food and if you had the time a couple nights a week make some healthy meals for you all to share, you could even turn it into study sessions. I think that would be a cool idea, since everyone in college is always worried about eating healthy, wait I mean not gaining weight. People could even take turns making the healthy meals. I dunno if that is at all possible for you, but if it is ask around and see who would be into it.

I've been staying around 133. I know, I know I sound like its the end of the world or something. lol, I really can't complain I haven't been working out much and I've been eating whatever I want. Today I actually worked out again, who knows how long I will keep it up though working 7-8 days in a row is a total killer. If I could just lose another 10-15 pounds or perhaps tone up then I will stop my complaining. Its always good to strive for improvement though right? :-)

Thats really good that you did good yesterday. Just take it one day at a time, sometimes if you look at things too far in advance it can seem over helming. Maybe you feel more stress at home? Being lonely and bored can definitely make someone over eat. Just like stress, just last night I came home and ate a brownie and snacks because I was so over whelmed and stressed with work I didn't know what else would make me feel better. Just try to remember that eating too much and too often will just make you feel good for a short time and then when that feeling goes away you are going to still have to deal with the problem and usually the guilt of feeling bad because you ate too much. I'm still kicking myself because those brownies sat there since Tuesday when my mom made them and I hadn't even wanted one until I let the mean people I work with get to me. But today is a new day and we will hopefully learn from our mistakes and move forward in a more positive direction. Good luck with being back at school. Thats good that you know you can do better with your eating when you are around your roommates and that you acknowledge that.

I have to go get ready for work now or I would write more. Ugh, I'm so glad I have the weekend off. These people are driving me crazy.

Whatever07, what do you think and feel before you binge? It seems like such a habit with you that it makes me wonder if you have some under lying issues with food. When you say binge, what exactly are you talking about? Because maybe I am a little confused with what you are saying and what I am thinking. When I think of  binge I think of someone eating like 2 quarts of ice cream, an entire package of Oreos, a container of pb and so on. You don't throw up after you do that do you? Sorry for being nosy but I just looked through your posts and it just seems like it happens a lot and makes me wonder. I know it can be really hard to have an eating disorder, not saying you do, but if you did sometimes its hard to be able to say you have a problem. It took me about 3 or 4 years when I had mine to realize I actually had a problem. Sorry if I posted something you don't want to address or that offended you. I wish you nothing but the best of luck, I want to help and support you, but without knowing somethings I don't really know how to.

Congratulations on the 2 pounds!! Its always hard to see you only lose 2 pounds but remember the 2 pounds a week is a really good healthy rate. Thats what I tell myself when I see I have only lost 2 pounds at a time. The conversation goes something like this "You may have only lost 2 pounds but that means it will stay off a lot longer than most people." Then I go look in a long mirror and say something like "Damn I'm sexy" Lol! Yes, I talk to myself hahaha.

I'm so sorry to hear about the mole and possible cancer. That would be so scary. Yesterday I found out the one woman I take care of has cancer. They are suppose to try and start treatment soon. It really bums me out though, she is one of my favorite people to take care of. So much for not getting attached to the individuals. Frown Then she wanted me to have cake and ice cream with her so I did. Oh well, I figured the day before I was extra good and worked out and walked 2 miles. Then yesterday I did a ton of bathing and lifting and so I deserved it. It'll hopefully even out, I guess I will see at the end of the week.

I hope everyone is having a good week! I know this group helps me out a ton. Remember 2 pounds off is way better than 2 pounds on! Wink

Laughing Thanks kaleighlynn! I woke up and worked out and then I had a healthy breakfast so far my day has started off right. I have a nice healthy lunch all packed up and am ready for work. Hopefully, the working out this morning won't make me super tired tonight. I don't think it will be too hard to getting use to this routine though, its more like the one I had before I started working day shift. But I am happy I am right no track now. I even weighed myself this morning and I wasn't crazy over weight like I thought I would be, I made it in at 137. I would have to say I am having a great morning, but works calls so we will see how this goes. Its my first real day of "counting" since I am out of training now. Lol, it should be rather interesting! Thank you for all the support it really means a lot!

I'm still around! I feel like I haven't been on here in forever, when actually I have I just haven't been saying much or logging anything. Undecided Its been a rough couple of weeks with the dieting. For some reason I've just lost all motivation, I guess I have just been feeling super lazy. But tomorrow I am going to workout before work and then at work as long as it doesn't rain I should be able to go walk at least a mile. I am going to EAT BREAKFAST (this has been so hard for me to stick to for the past month or so) I am going to make myself a HEALTHY lunch- which contains all 3 food groups and I am going to pretend Friday and Saturday never happened Smile How is everyone doing? It sounds like everyone has been doing pretty well. I am not going to weigh myself for a few days because I know I am majorly bloated from sodium. Thank you so much for letting me ramble. I mean I have to lose some more weight I bough a tight size 9 yesterday in hopes they will soon fit not so tightly. Let the challenge begin!

The mystery is solved! For the entire weekend no one will be able to get their account balance through the atm because they are merging with another company. Phew! I feel so much better now, it would have been nice for them to let their customers know this ahead of time!

I did go to 2 different atms just to be sure the first one was not broken. The first atm was at the actual bank but they were closed so I couldn't go in. I made sure I hit checking. I did more than once at both atms. I just don't know why it would be saying that. Its pay day and I feel like I have no money now which is some bs if I do say so myself. But I will just go in tomorrow nice and calm and try to figure everything out. Unless some how my ex did something to my account but I don't know how he could do that since I got the account after I left him 2 years ago and he doesn't even know the account numbers. Bah! Now I am just being paranoid! Cry It's time to go to bed and have tomorrow come already! Thank you for your help and suggestions!

I tried the automated number and it just kept saying I was using the wrong pin number but honestly I wasn't! I know my pin I used it just yesterday and all week long. I didn't want to try a POS and look like a giant jacka_s in the store or if something really is wrong over draft or something.

Do you think it could just be my atm card got messed up some how? I don't know how that would happen but maybe it could. Ugh! I just hate having to wait all night to get this cleared up. Thanks for your help!

I've met 1 ex-boyfriend online years ago, back in my young college days. Obviously that didn't work out well at all. I can say from experience it is very easy to be deceived by someone when they do not have to look you in the eye when they are talking to you. But I met my current boyfriend online about 7-8 years ago. We were just always close friends, we would talk on the phone alot. Then I got married to someone else and moved away. My ex-husband wouldn't let me talk to any man so we lost contact. I left my controlling psycho ex-husband and it was about a year later that Joe found me on Myspace. We've been dating for over a year now, we get along great. But sometimes its hard because we are so far apart. Although I would never trade being with him for anything in the world. We are so alike and really do think fate brought us together the first time we started talking and then again when he found me after losing contact. We played it cool and were just friends for a year again before we started dating. We fly to see each other frequently and IM, email, and/or speak on the phone daily.

I really favor trying to meet someone online. Its easier to be up front about things that you won't tolerate in a relationship. You can exclude drinkers from your searches, if you want of course. I never did like meeting men in bars, usually they are all alcoholics (duh!) and if it doesn't work out or someone is bothering you you can just hit ignore LOL! Thats so mean but its so true! Some people can just be too "wacked out or freaky". I say post a picture of you that you really like, because I think people normally look better in person anyways. Unless they have photoshoped their picture.

Also my sister met her husband online and they have been together over 10 years! They are complete opposites but a perfect match for one another. I would bet money on it that if it wasn't for meeting online they would have never gotten together. In fact, she use to work at a bar he went to eat at and they never talked, flirted, anything because they were so different. Isn't it funny how things can work out!

I still read this post everyday or nearly everyday. Last weekend I went camping so I wasn't near a computer. But I don't always post stuff even though I read things. lol, I dunno why I just don't want to see like a jerk since I have already reached my goal of 140 and am actually down to 138 now. I have no idea how it happened, I didn't count the entire time I was camping and I ate whatever I wanted, thats why I don't think its bad to cheat now and then and give yourself a break. Probably stress did it though, I dunno. But if anyone needs help with their diet and what they are eating or suggestions I can help out. I still want to be in the group though, please don't kick me out. I have more weight to lose! I hate being short! I can't wait to see the Calculator on here say I'm not slightly over weight anymore.

Honestly, I haven't had a real work out since July 5th! Every now and then I will walk a mile at work but thats about it. So to make up for the lack of exercise I try to eat between 1,200 and 1,300 calories. At work I do a lot of lifting/pulling/ rolling/moving of people who are wheel chair bound though. Some little tricks to burn some extra calories I use is park far away from where ever I am going like Wal-Mart or the store, dance around while doing house work, even if I can carry everything I bought at the store I make 2 trips to the car to carry in the groceries. I do things like that and I go up and down the stairs a lot at my house. Every little bit counts, so I try to get lots of little bits. I can't wait to be steady 2nd shift so I can start lifting again though, I really miss it.

I just wanted to check in, so last night was my first night on 2nd shift and I loved it! I worked with some really nice people and the people that I took care of weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. I feel really bad for the one guy though. Frown Next week will be my last week of day light and then it should be smooth sailing from then on. I actually got to make myself a healthy dinner yesterday to eat at work and got things accomplished around the house before I left.

whatever07- don't worry too much about eating a lot one day because if you don't eat as much the next day it will play with your metabolism and might even help speed it up a little, kinda like what zig zagging does. Just try to get some healthy snacks and stuff in the house so when you do want to eat its fruits and veggies.

I completely agree! I also didn't read every comments but I know that I used measuring cups at first when I started out and I would over estimate everything just to be on the safe side. Then I got my beloved food scale its been pretty smooth and easy since then. Sure there are times you can't weigh everything but when you can and do, it really counts and helps with your intake goal. I've lost 44 pounds since Feb and I owe it all to this site- including all the people who've helped me along the way and my food scale. Sometimes you need to ease up some and have a couple days where you don't weigh everything and just work on making smart choices, thats what I think but its just my opinion

How old are you? Just curious because if you are a teenager then you do need to be eating more. I'm 5'!.5", small frame, and just hit 139 today. What I do to fill up is eat a lot of fruits and veggies early in the day with a lot of protein. It may seem weird to do but make an omelet out of egg whites, I use 3, then fill it with chicken from the night before and mushrooms and some low fat natural cheddar cheese. That keeps me really full and its not bad for you at all! If I eat oatmeal for breakfast even with egg whites mixed in I am hungry within an hour of eating. You need lots of protein!

Whatever07 the headaches could be from eating "junky" foods. I know if I eat a lot of sugar after not having it for a long time I get something VERY similar to a hangover. I also just feel really gross if I eat unhealthy anymore.

I don't know how this happened but this morning I weighed myself before work and I was 139. I have absolutely no idea how I lost any weight this past weekend. I was camping which means I ate more than normal. Maybe its from stress and nerves?

Today I just found out I will be working in the hospices area where I work for the next 6 months. Obviously this was not my first choice as a living area to work in. I just think its going to be so hard to have to watch people like that everyday. I hope no one passes away while I am there. Then tonight at 2am my boyfriend leaves on a boat to South Africa for 4 months and I won't get to talk to him for at least 3 of those 4 months. I just found out today that one of my best friends is moving on the 15th because she just got a new job. Oh! Let's not forget I got a notice in the mail today that I have to appear in court again because of my ex, hopefully this will be the last time because I plan of filing for a divorce. I guess when it rains it really does pour.

Thank you all so much for letting me get all that out of my system! Its just so much bs all at once!

Awww! Don't beat yourself up, everyone has moments of weakness. Today at work I went to lunch with co-workers and completely forgot myself and got fried things to eat. When I mean I forgot, I honestly did. I ordered and didn't think anything of it til someone said "Wow, I'm surprised you're going to eat that isn't that going to make you sick since you never eat things like that?" By then it was too late, the waitress left and put the order in and I had to eat some thing and they were right. This evening my stomach is so upset. I took a nap and only had a bowl of cereal for dinner because I feel like total poo. I did go for a quick 20 minute walk on one of my breaks but it can't make up for the fried food and I don't feel well enough to workout anymore. I've definitely learned a valueble lesson thats for sure! But remember once in a while its alright to cheat.

Bluemisscutie- Good job turning down going out to eat! Thats always a tough one especially when its some place that you like. I think your boyfriend was just trying to be nice, thats how my Joe is. But they have to realize that one little mistake could make you feel like total crap if you give in and go out and blow your day and all that hard work you did. Plus, when you're not use to eating "junky foods" anymore you do get really sick. I never really knew that would happen til I had a piece of birthday cake with my mom after about 3 months of solid dieting. I got the worst sugar rush of my life! Seriously, I ended up throwing up and having the worst headache ever.

I hate to tell you this, but its going to take a long time to get rid of the poochie-ness in your tummy. I had to lose 40 pounds before mine was ALMOST gone its still not completely gone! I don't know how much weight you've lost but I find it really hard to believe at 159 and 5'5" you have that much stomach. Not trying to be mean but I would kill to be that tall! I'm 5'1"-5'1.5". Remember you just have to keep doing your best and giving it your all because it seems like the one spot you want to lose the most weight in will always be the last place for it to come off. Thanks ladies that dessert was hard to resist, homemade gobs are the best! My mom said it was really good hahaha. Oh! I forgot to say as for cleaning mushrooms all I do is wash them off under cold water and make sure I get all the dirt off then slice them and throw them on the grill. I use a George Foremen grill if you were to use an outside grill I would spray some aluminum foil with Pam and then grill them in that or they would probably fall through the grates. Remember they shrink when you cook them, so I always make more thinking they will shrink more than they do. So if you end up making too many (like I often do) they are really great in omelets or if you like brown rice you can throw them in that too as a side for dinner, both are very yummy and a good way to use them as a filler in meals.

Holy cow! I missed a lot of stuff and I wasn't gone that long I don't think anyways! So far today I have managed to stick to my "diet", I even had someone give me a homemade dessert and told them I was going to take it home and eat it tonight LOL! I will just give it to my mom and tell them it was really good tomorrow and thank you so much. Then today at lunch we got an 14 minutes on our break so me and some friends woofed down our food and then went for a mile walk. Smile It feels good to start to get back into it all again. OH!!! And the highlight of my day thus far, my friend that I think is really skinny went through her closet last night and gave me a bunch of her clothes she didn't want and guess what! Most of them fit besides 2 shirt and 1 pair of pants! So apparently I went down another pant size and didn't really realize it. Hahaha! I have no idea how that happened but I am so happy!

Thanks so much for the replies everyone. I hate coffee and tea without a lot of sugar and French vanilla creamer. Lol, thats why I didn't take that option. I drank a couple of Monsters last week which did seem to help but I wasn't counting my calories last week so when I put those in last night to see how bad they are I was amazed they got an A- then I saw that they are all carbs. Which I do know they make low carb ones but I don't get paid til Friday and they are so expensive. The caffeine pills are only $1.39 for a pack of 4 or 5. I usually do really well with 1 pill in the morning then I am fine after lunch and don't have trouble staying awake. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to set my diet up for failure some how with them.

Do you like mushrooms? Grilled mushrooms are awesome! I burnt myself out on steamed broccoli, I've eaten it for dinner for months and months! Now I can't bring myself to do it anymore unless its in something with a sauce like stir fry. I must admit I have been eating canned veggies Surprised Lol, I have a garden and I grow veggies but I don't like most of them. I'm a confusing woman hahaha. My lettuce is really good though. But I planted the dreaded broccoli too! And my tomatoes aren't growing well for some reason, my beans haven't turnt into pods so I just eat canned ones. I hate frozen green beans I think they taste funny. Sorry I just went off track.

So maybe salads with low fat or fat free dressing, stir fry, or grilled mushrooms? Bake a yam like a baked potato, thats really good or you could make baked sweet potato fries. I don't really know how to make squash any other way than frying it. lol, that is a problem I have with squash. Hope these ideas help you out some, sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I started out at 185 but i said 183 to people Lol, gotta shave it off a little bit when you are starting out lol. I've been counting since feb or march its been so long I can't really remember and I was doing so well. Then Joe came in for a week and I started my new job that same week. Plus, I must admit I am more a second shift person and I am working day shift right now and its killing me. Up by 4:45am arrive at work 6:30am, get home at 4pm, 5pm go take care of my sisters dogs, get back home and make dinner 7-8pm and finally go to bed around 9-10pm lol. Now I would love to take those dogs for a walk but you know what the little one just gives up after 1/2 a mile and I have to either drag him which is mean or carry his heavy butt while trying to walk the 96lb monster with the other hand.
