Congratulations on your loss Opalaurora!

Where is our fearless leader?! LMS... WE NEED YOULaughing!!

Good job on posting your calorie deficits Deegee. We've kinda slacked this week. The scale will budge. You'll probably have a nice big loss all at once. That's what's so important about being patient. I was just looking back at my 20lb loss at the beginning of the year and it's nice to see how even though the numbers didn't seem to be going down day to day, when you looked at them all, you could see how I had gradually fluctuated lower and lower. It'll come:) Just wish I could find the patience I seemed to have back then!

You're going to laugh! I weigh myself everyday and fluctuate, but on every Wed., my body is 139.2! Clearly, I didn't do so well this week, but at least I didn't go over maintenance and gain. I've GOT to find my motivation! Dunno where it is, but at least I'm consistently working out again, and I'm not gaining an oz.!! I would just really like to fluctuate a bit lower. ANYHOW....

Oh, yeah, and since I really had nothing to show, I didn't post this on Monday. Sorry. Too full of shame. But, for the sake of LMS' nice breakdown, here's mine:

(11/3 - 11/9): 12900 - 1200 - 11746 = -46 / 7 = NOTHING!! Undecided

So, trying REALLY hard to make a lb. lost this week, but struggling. My period is due on Sunday (better start and not drag out longer!!! rrrr!). I'm starving! did terrible Mon., then great Tues. & Wed. and then horrible again yesterday (too many calories). I did get all 3 of my workouts in this week though (it's so minimal compared to what I was doing before, but at least I'm going again). Proud of that! And, I wasn't sore at all (thought I was going to die last week.... good reason not to get out of the habit, eh?). I'm going away to work this weekend, and because of the project schedule, I will be fed on-site, so will have no say in what I eat. Just have to watch the portions, and have no desert, I guess. They have yummy food too, so it will be hard. Plus, if I want to be -3500 for the week, then IF I'm good today (as in a mere 800 calories), I'll only be able to have 1250 cal/day Sat. & Sun. Not difficult at home, and when I'm not STARVING 'cause of stupid TOM, but.... anyway, really, really hoping for 1lb. loss this week, but may only be 1/2lb. or so. maybe water weight will come off after TOM is done, though? Think it should 'cause, I saw 137 just before I started CC (and days b4 TOM) and haven't seen it since, so should be up a couple lbs. from TOM. guess we'll see, huh!?!

I'm only asking for 1lb.!!! is that so much to ask?!?!? Next week's calorie intake should finally be better for me (TOM over.... I really did start back on CC at a bad time - like 10 days b4 period!!.... oh well!) promise I'll be more competitive in the coming weeks Lms!

Janay: thanks for the encouragement. i really do want to do better this week. Looks like you only have a few lbs. before you're at least fluctuating down to the 140's. How exciting!

OpalAurora: WOW! 50 miles!?! great challenge! You'll have to keep us updated on where you're at with that this month. We're the same now, but I be that if you keep that up (plus ballet?!! - very impressive), you'll pass me up fast!!;-) I know what you mean about being happy with any weight loss at the moment. Last spring I had no problem with 2lb/week loss, but right now, just don't quite have the motivation, although this thread helps!

Lms: YAY! and you didn't think you'd have a loss this week... -2.25#? That's awesome. Guess you did better this week than you realised:-) Did you ever have a problem with the headache thing again? sounds awful. thanks again for compiling all our numbers for us. sure makes it alot easier to keep track of who is getting results and how.

M0m6: WELCOME! Wow... 132 sounds so nice right now. I haven't seen that for 6 weeks or so. makes me wish I hadn't let myself get off track. Just curious... what's ur height (if you posted it somewhere, I missed)?

Deegee52: WELCOME! don't you though? Didn't lms have a great idea on how to lay everything out? I love this thread. Glad to have you!

I did so well, and then my week got horrible, and I let it put my diet into the toilet. Sorry, promise I'll do better this week. My period is due, and it was my first week back, so I'm cutting myself some slack. I figure that at least I didn't gain any weight because I watched it for most of the week. I'd rather not even post this because it is so pathetic, but here ya go.....

LMS: I lost 20lbs. in 10 weeks without a hitch last March - May, so I bet you'll have no problem by Valentines day. Thanks for the organization and the list. Love this post!

Don't know why, but lost a bit of motivation today. I felt deprived, not 'cause of any cravings, but just hungry. I just sat down and ate like a 1000 cal lunch. Gosh! But, I'm not hungry anymore;) If I don't eat much of anything for the rest of the day, I'll average out okay for the last 4 days, but I really hate it when I get like that! And, it leaves no extra calories for tonight (friends over for treats) or the weekend. It was sooooo much easier last March, when I knew I'd have to get into my summer clothes. Errrr! Oh well.... I WILL DO THIS!!

Yeah... what exactly do you mean? Like...

for example

total cal consumed = 8400

BMR: 1700 cal/day (sedentary) x 7 days = -11900

exercise = -900

DEFICIT of 4,400 CALORIES FOR WEEK

??

How do you want us to lay it out?

AWESOME!!

I'm just starting back today, so while my weekend wasn't bad, I wasn't making any effort either. I went to the gym today for the first time in almost two weeks (pathetic... I was so consistent before... oh well, back on track!). Minimal workout (starting slow): 20 min. elliptical, 35 minute weights and 10 min. bike.

Janay: Wow! Every morning at 5AM? Very impressive.... you should be proud!

Nice to have a group to compare notes with again. Thanks for the great post LMS!

I'm 25 as well, 140 lbs. I lost 20 lbs. in 10 weeks (155 to 135) last March - May, but have gained a few back. My ultimate goal was 40lbs. to lose, so I need to get back on track and get to where I was so I can finish. So, ultimately, I want to lose 30 lbs. as well. Swimsuit season is gone, and so I have very little motivation (that was my push at the beginning of the year).... so I too am focusing on the first 10 to start. My goal is just 1lb. a week this time, so I hope to be down ten by the first week in January. Very slow, but that's all the push I've got for now (if it comes off faster, great!). I'm also very competitive, so maybe this will help!! :)

Let us know when you want to do weigh-ins. It's your post, so it's up to you, but I personally love doing Wed. for weigh-ins (middle of the week, weekend water weight is gone). Maybe a different day for posting our reports of exercise and calories consumed? That way we don't go a whole week without reporting? Just an idea... it's up to you... let us know.

can I join?!

Hi girls! Sorry I haven't been around. I haven't been counting calories or weighing myself for a month now. I decided to just maintain for awhile. I've had my nieces, and so have been enjoying all kinds of kid food, and lots of family stuff has been going on... it's summer, ya know?! So, I've just been trying to enjoy them all w/o worrying about where were going or what I'm going to eat. Plus, I lost my grandpa a couple weeks ago, and I've been super depressed and eating everything in sight (I've never been an emotional eater before, but this set me off, I guess), so the thought of actually losing weight has been waaay too stressful. I've been doing good just to maintain (I fluctuate between 130 and 135) . I'm at a happy/healthy weight for me anyway, so no big deal.

Anyhow, I got on the scale this AM, and these are my stats - are we still weighing in on Wed.?

Start Weight: 155

Last Posted Weight (7/2): 131.0

Today's Weight: 133.6

I've kept up my exercise, and I think that that's all that has saved me from gaining. I burn about 1550 on the bike and elliptical 3 - 4 days/week, plus do circuit training 3 - 4 days/week (takes me like 2.5hrs). If I hadn't kept up with this, I know I would have gained.

I finally sat down to see what I needed to do to be at my goal weight (115lb - 120lb.) by 5/1/09 (I really have little motivation to lose it before then, because summer will be over in a month or so, and the motivation of looking good in a bikini is dying). If I try to lose just 0.5lb/week (not alot, eh?) I can be there by then. I think it's realistic, and I just don't think I can muster enough motivation to do it quicker. Not right now anyway. So, with my exercise routine, I can have like 1990 cal/day to accomplish this, which does not sound bad at all.

So, I'm back. Not so hardcore as when I first began this journey, but that's okay, right? It was so nice to read all of your posts today. You're all doing awesome!! Mel, CONGRATS on reaching your goal!!!!

Lozzie, I bet it is just TOM. Bet you'll have a great weigh-in next week! I go up at least a couple lbs., if not more. Sure sucks though, huh? At least you know it's not real.

Piperrose, don't know, or can't remember what you were b4 TOM, but your weigh-in looks good at 2lbs. lost. Wish that was what mine showed up as after a "salty meal" the night before! Great job... and, thanks for sharing:)

WOW! I go away for a few days and I actually had a TON of posts to catch up on. How exciting to have so many new people in our little group! Welcome everyone!!

Hope everyone had a happy Monday and a good start to their week. I hadn't been on the scale for several days, since I was out of town, so I was terrified to get on it today. I need that daily weigh-in to keep me in check, but I did do good (while on vacation!) and stayed actually under my calorie intake, and went to the gym for 4 days before I left, so I knew it couldn't be too bad, but you never know, huh?! Well, I'm right on track. Such a relief. I'm 2-1/2 weeks into losing again (had decided to maintain for 4 weeks), and the pounds seem to come off sooooo sloooow now... at 1lb/week as opposed to 2lbs/week. The higher calories are nice, but gosh, that seems slow after consistently losing 2/week, but it's healthy, huh?

TOMORROW IS WEIGH-IN DAY!

I will try to reply to everyone later (there are so many now... YAY!), but it was so nice to read everyone's posts and hear how everyone is doing. Thanks for sharing girls:)

Hi girls! Where'd you all go? Hope you've had a good start to your week. I had a migraine come on yesterday, so I had to lay in bed ALL DAY LONG. I was so insanely bored. I only ate like 600 cals, 'cause everything I ate made me sick, and I guess I probably didn't need much anyway. Anyhow, head still hurts, but I did get my workout in today, and I ate better than I have been. My "saving my workout calories for weekend treats" isn't working (I really need the calories on my gym days), so I'm trying to eat alot more on my workout days. We'll see how my body reacts. I ate a whole Qdobe burrito after my workout this afternoon! It was yummy, and I'm actually still under my calories, but hopefully it's enough, 'cause it's already after 5PM. Anyhow, I know everyone didn't need so much info, but nobody's posting, so I had to post something....

Where is everyone? Hope you all are having a good weekend. Is everyone ready for another week? It's going to be a busy one for me. I'm behind on work as it is, and then we're going to be going away again next weekend. I can't use it as an excuse to be bad though. I'm back on track after maintaining my 20lb. loss for about a month. Kinda sucks that I haven't lost anymore, but I guess it was a good point to take off and maintain (I mean I still counted calories, but I let myself have alot more cheat meals/days than I ever do when I'm trying to lose). Now I'm ready to see the scale go down again. I really want to see the 120's now. It'll be a month or so before I'm actually 120 anything, but I'm excited... it'll come.

DO NOT try to lose it eating 400 cal/day! I was very similar in stats when I started (155lbs. @ 5'6"), and I lost 20lbs. in 10 weeks on 1200 cal/day w/o exercise. That is plenty fast. I would not recommend trying to lose any faster. You should give your body a minimum of 1200 cal/day, and if you exercise you could eat even more than I could.

I just want to say something about the comment made about curvy girls not having flat stomachs. That is not true at all. I am VERY curvy (wide hips, boobs, and a good size butt), and even at my heaviest (155lb.), my stomach was completely flat. I know that that's not generally the case, but for some reason, that is the very last place I gain weight. Even when everything else was heavy, I had definition in my abs. I don't know why, but I did (that was even after like 3 years of no exercise). So, that comment is not accurate.
