Take a bubblebath or something with a book or magazine you like to just relax and pamper yourself, then give yourself a pedicure =)

The Lounge Does getting a tan make a person look skinnier? Nov 15 2008
22:09 (UTC)

I tan a BIT, i'm talking once every two weeks for 12 minutes...and yes it's bad for my skin, but to be honest if lifts my spirits, and gives me confidence in shorts, tank tops, a swimsuit, etc that i otherwise did not have....yes that might sound bizarre but it just does.

To be honest, the few stretch marks that I have became actually a bit MORE noticable when i started tanning.

Hope that helped a bit!

You ARE beautiful.  Pretty and thin do NOT mean the same thing.
I think you should confront him about it.

Nobody should be treated that way by ANYONE, especially their spouse.

I have a pretty round booty for a "skinny white girl"
I have the kind of legs that DONT look like they are about to snap, they are strong.
I have large facial features (eyes, lips, teeth) and I love that!

Wow, this is so much better than focusing on the bad.

Good job whoever thought of this!

I used to always do that, which is why im doing the opposite of losing weight. Tongue out

I know EXACTLY what you mean by that you are jealous of those people who don't think twice.
The people who will sit down and watch a movie and RELAX when they get home from work, when their body does need rest, rather than go to the gym.
The people who can pick up a muffin from starbucks now and then with their coffee without looking up its nutritional info.
People who can have a popcorn at the movies without a horrible day of guilt.
....and do all of these things and STILL BE SLIM, because they are living in moderation, but also really living their lives!
*Sighh*
I used to be one of those people, but I don't think i ever will be again Frown

I dont know if they have this in Dubai, but after my workouts I always have the ready-to-drink carnation instant breakfast, the kind in the carton thats alreadyliquid.
They are 150cals if you get the sugar free and 300 if you get the regular, but pack about 12 grams of protein, 35% of your daily calcium and 20% of your daily iron, plus are yummy!
CHocolate is my favorite one. Smile

Weight Gain ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh May 06 2008

Um, it is just food. No offence, dieting or not, you should NEVER be "scared" of any food.
Food should not be connected with emotions , or it could lead to serious problems.
I'm not trying to sound harsh, I used to freak out like that too.
Just relax, go for a walk after you eat it, and stop thinking about it so much.
Balance is key, and being afraid of lasagna is certainly not balanced, nor normal.

A protein bar? An apple with a tbsp of peanut butter?
Eggs....cottage cheese? Yogurt.
Oatmeal.
A big glass of milk?

Something high fibre or high protein.
Or a healthy fat.

Those things keep me fullest longest.

I'm 18 years old.  I dont even know what my healthy weight should be!
No, the highest was 138 and I stabilized at around 135.
My mother doesnt know, but I dont think she would care if it was just 5 pounds.
She would fear it getting out of hand.  But I would maintain at 130, not try and keep losing.

Youre right.  I bet I wouldnt notice the 5 pound loss.....I think its just an issue of numbers.

I actually weight train 4-5 days a week already! I think that may be a little part of the 15 lb gain, since I started a new fitness program in feb.

Right now I am in this class called sports performance 5 days a week. The class is 80 minutes.  first we run bleachers for about 10 minutes.  Then there is a warmup with ladders and med balls.  Then there is usually a 20-25 minute circuit or just weight training, we have "cardio" or "yoga" day once a week.
Then a cool down.
I'd say its moderate.
